Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 322: Chapter 117: I Can, But I Don’t Like It (Part 3)

The Young Red Dragon Kedelos perked up his ears, listening to the surrounding discussions clearly, and scratched the earth with his claws with some irritation, but didn’t dare use his dragon fire to incinerate those chattering weaklings.

The flourishing Tree of Life ahead made the young red dragon understand that perhaps the Dragon Group had already conquered that Other Plane, turning it into a backyard garden for the dragon group to harvest at will.

With her long blue hair, Carlette also stood up in shock, and this superior Blue Dragon clearly sensed the threat from the young red dragon in front of her.

The collar on the young red dragon’s neck, engraved with the name Karon Gogomola and a series of Dragon Language, was enough to surprise this blue dragon.

This signifies that the young red dragon is Karon’s captive; in human terms, Young Red Dragon Kedelos is Karon’s pet, a watchdog.

Blue Dragon Akzhi seemed to have acquired some new ailment lately, especially enjoying looking down on others with a lofty gaze.

The blue dragon at this moment was treating the former goddess and beloved mother dragon just as he had treated Young Red Dragon Kedelos before.

He climbed the thick Tree of Life with his limbs, stretching his long neck, lowering his head, sniffing the young girl with a surprised look on her face.

”Akhzi, what brings you here to find me? I’ve always adhered to the original agreement, laboring in the toughest conditions, never attempting to escape,”

In the end, the older Carlette couldn’t withstand this silent pressure any longer and took the initiative to ask.

”Carlette, just yesterday, I suggested to Karon that you be imprisoned like Kedelos, extracting the Evil Dragon True Blood in you, contributing your only value at present to the territory, but Karon refused!”

Blue Dragon Akzhi opened his mouth with a ’bang,’ stunning both Young Red Dragon Kedelos and Blue Dragon Carlette.

In the group’s childhood, Blue Dragon Akzhi guarded the Dragon Group, although possessing the arrogance and malicious nature of the Five-Color Dragon; he had always been a warm brother-like presence to the youthful dragons in the group.

After finding a method to control the influence of the Evil Dragon Bloodline and gradually discarding its adverse effects, the more rational and clear-headed adolescent Blue Dragon Akzhi also integrated into the Dragon Group, thus becoming more ruthless when dealing with issues based on the group’s interests.

More warmth brings more polarized emotions.

”Why?” Carlette’s calm voice wavered slightly. She looked incredulously at the loyal dragon she once had, always feeling that the other had undergone a drastic change.

”The generous king granted you opportunities that you didn’t cherish, Carlette. You need to prove your worth and shouldn’t be like ordinary people; you are a Giant Dragon, and the value you create has become disproportionate to the resources you consume.”

Blue Dragon Akzhi’s deep-blue pupils were filled with callousness. He brought his head close to the still-human Carlette, bringing her a sense of extreme danger and intense oppression.

”Previously, I didn’t understand Karon’s intentions, but now I grasp some,” Blue Dragon Akzhi’s breath blew through Carlette’s blue hair.

”He wishes to unite every dragon that can be gathered, challenging a great goal together. But you’re evading, still indulged in the past weaknesses, not proactively aligning with the Dragon Group,”

”Not even for the Other Plane conquest war did you take the initiative to apply, but instead hid in some corner of the territory. I hoped you could glean from human interactions some concepts of family, of companionship, but it seems you have disappointed both me and the Dragon Group.”

Blue Dragon Akzhi’s voice echoed in Carlette’s ears, but didn’t carry beyond, as the sensible Tree of Life had already stretched its branches, containing the sound within a small area.

”Those not aligning with the Dragon Group will be the group’s enemies. You, too, are a potential enemy of the Dragon Group,” Blue Dragon Akzhi’s tone became extraordinarily cold.

”I won’t allow anyone to harm the Dragon Group or destroy the common goal of the dragon group,” Akzhi extended his tongue, licking the numb face of Carlette.

A deep sigh resonated in Blue Dragon Akzhi’s throat, ”Thus, I proposed to Karon to grant you another opportunity to undertake the Dragon Group’s test, and if you fail to meet my expectations, I will kill you, preserving your head in my lair, in remembrance of the rose that bloomed in my world during my youthful days!”

”Even at the risk of Karon’s punishment, I’m willing!”

”Oh, Akzhi, I quite like your statement,” Young Red Dragon Kedelos snapped back into focus, swinging his tail to offer his suggestion, ”Before you kill her, perhaps you could have her forcibly, to remedy the regret in your heart.”

Blue Dragon Akzhi gave a cold glance at the young red dragon, lightly saying, ”Of course, I could do so, but I don’t like to.”
