Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 320: Chapter 117: I Could, But I Don’t Like It

Young Red Dragon Kedelos lay weakly in front of the Giant Dragon Treasure Vault, burying his head in the space between his powerful forelimbs.

His deep red wings sprawled across the flat valley floor, and his thick tail coiled around his rear, surrounding it tightly.

An eighteen-meter Young Red Dragon, already quite intimidating, should possess a formidable presence with a sufficient sense of oppression.

But unfortunately, the harsh lessons from the outside world had begun to teach this Young Red Dragon some simple truths.

After a long period of recovery, the Young Red Dragon’s exterior had long returned to its peak state. Though the dragons of the Dragon Group enslaved Kedelos, they never withheld his rations.

Yet even so, the growth of the Young Red Dragon’s body appeared very slow. During the pinnacle period of a dragon’s growth, losing a large amount of Dragon Blood and two drops of Evil Dragon True Blood caused damage that would take a long time to mend.

Therefore, the spirit of this Young Red Dragon always seemed somewhat wan, a lingering weakness felt deeply in his bloodline.

Under such enfeeblement, even the treasures within the Giant Dragon Treasure Vault, hiding behind a ten-meter thick stone door, which should have enticed a dragon tremendously, held only a faint attraction for Kedelos.

One hour of sneaking back to the Giant Dragon Treasure Vault thirty times had reduced to twenty-nine times, an undoubted drastic change.

Just as Young Red Dragon Kedelos couldn’t help himself but had to press his head against the treasure vault door, as a cat might with catnip, a massive dragon shadow descended from the sky.

Whirr,

A Blue Dragon landed on the cliff wall, its claws embedding firmly into the rock, head facing downwards, tail pointing upward, and its enormous blue wings spread wide, with its long neck arching low, drawing its head near the body of the Young Red Dragon.

A salt-laden sea breeze mixed with the moist odors of sand and stone rushed into the nostrils of Young Red Dragon Kedelos, with the thick blue dragon horn nearing his eyes.

”I know you, Blue Dragon Akzhi, what are you doing here, have you come all the way down just to mock me, a dragon imprisoned?”

Young Red Dragon Kedelos snorted a few sparks from his nostrils. In his previous temperament, this superior Five-Colored Dragon Species would have spewed Dragon Breath long ago.

A proud Red Dragon would never allow any dragon to tread on his pride instead of maintain his sparse dignity questioning this adolescent Blue Dragon.

”Oh, don’t misunderstand, Kedelos, every dragon in the Dragon Group has matters to attend to and can’t spare precious time merely to mock you,”

The fifteen-meter adolescent Blue Dragon Akzhi swayed his long neck, as small stones cracked and tumbled from the cliff wall, striking the valley floor.

”Devoting time to the passionate and lovely maidens in the territory is better than using it to ridicule you even a bit,”

The unique voice of Blue Dragon Akzhi carried an echoing depth, ”I am here to offer you an opportunity, a chance at freedom, I hope you won’t reject the gift from the Dragon Group.”

”Tell me, what do you want me to do,” pretending not to care, but his feigned calm was already seen through by the Blue Dragon.

”Hehe, very simple, just need you to follow my command...” the low rumbling voice of Blue Dragon Akzhi echoed in the canyon.

”What? You want me to follow you in capturing and conquering those solitary Wild Dragons around your territory, yet without reward? Aren’t you just using a noble Red Dragon as a War Beast? I, Kedelos, am also a noble True Dragon and refuse such humiliating terms!”

The Young Red Dragon remarked indignantly. Although he had gained relative freedom, having him work without compensation was unacceptable; these dragons of the Dragon Group deserved to be hung in the Divine Kingdom of the Dragon Queen Tiamat.

In response to the refusal, a strange look flickered in the large vertical pupils of Blue Dragon Akzhi, whose long neck swung his head in front of the Young Red Dragon.

”True Dragon? Haha, the Dragon Group will redefine the term True Dragon. In the future, those like you who cannot resist the influence of the Evil Dragon Bloodline, forever troubled by the Evil Dragon’s blood and incessant dragons, cannot be called True Dragons.”

”Every dragon in the Dragon Group is more noble than your True Dragon,”

A heartfelt pride emerged in the vertical pupils of Blue Dragon Akzhi, a pride from within that even stung the weak pride of the Young Red Dragon.

”You see, a True Dragon able to resist the influence of the Evil Dragon Bloodline can have a stable spirit, sufficient to learn knowledge and control Magic Items,”

Blue Dragon Akzhi extended his right claw, as a Magic Radiance gathered in his palm, with a Mage’s Hand stretching forth, and in its grasp was the Magic Space Treasure Bag every Dragon Lord was equipped with.

At this moment, the Magic Space Treasure Bag was slowly opening, revealing a flickering golden light.

Whoosh, a spark flashed, the Mage’s Hand quickly collapsed, as the opened Magic Space Treasure Bag slowly closed, falling into the Blue Dragon’s claw.

”Oh, sorry, I’m still not very skilled, the Evil Dragon Bloodline in my body often affects me,” Blue Dragon Akzhi swallowed the Magic Space Bag, his expression uncontrite.

From the method summarized and explored by Karon, combined with the individual determination of the dragons in the Dragon Group, these dragons had all begun to embark on their true path.
