Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 326: Chapter 120: The True White King

”Prepare a delicious snack for Doss as well,”

Karon languidly sprawled on the ground, instructing the maids carrying trays beside him.

Bronze Dragon Alina had already taken Ocean Dragon Law Enforcement Officer Naxson to assume his post at the Golden City. They still needed to hold an appointment ceremony for this newly joined law enforcement officer of the Dragon Group.

This was an essential ceremony, not only symbolizing the formalization of the territory, but also showing the importance placed on this unique Giant Dragon Species, allowing the residents to feel the strengthening of their homeland’s power.

Meanwhile, Blue Dragon Doss did not leave with them but stayed at the Giant Dragon’s King’s Castle, evidently having matters to discuss with Karon.

But Karon was in no hurry to begin the discussion, as it was time for his daily meal.

Beside him, the Chief Maid Charlize, dressed in maid’s short attire, instructed her subordinate maids to prepare snacks for the equally noble Blue Dragon Lord, while delicately picking up a piece of pure gold with her slender fingers and offering it to her master’s mouth.

Karon extended his flexible tongue, rolled the piece of gold into his mouth, and gently chewed.

The high-purity gold gave him a sticky sensation, similar to the chewy, sweet, and rich chocolate, a taste that Karon particularly enjoyed.

Then came several other refined metals and some gemstones and crystals, which Karon consumed as desserts.

Blue Dragon Doss, too, lay down, rejecting the maids’ service. To other dragons, everything in the castle belonged solely to the Red Dragon Monarch and was untouchable.

Blue Dragon Doss unhurriedly extended his tongue, rolling these delicious snacks beneficial to dragons into his mouth, chewing slowly.

Although every Giant Dragon Lord had a fixed daily portion, Blue Dragon never refused an extra bite.

These rare metals and gemstones could long-term enhance the physical qualities of dragons, strengthening their scale defense, increasing skin flexibility, and allowing more affinity with Magic Power. The only problem was the large quantity needed.

Under the nourishment from the Dragon’s Beloved and the territory, every dragon in the Dragon Group was superior, stronger, and more beautiful than those wandering dragons, continuously widening the gap as the Dragon Group continued to grow.

Those loyal Beloveds and residents sheltered by dragons brought stability and order, peaceful living, and the Beloveds provided support, making dragons stronger.

The kobolds skilled in mining had increased efficiency with the help of tools, the mined ores were partly refined for the Dragon Group’s nourishment.

Some would circulate as commodities in the market or be minted into currency, imbued with the concept of riches in the hearts of ordinary people.

Based on his territory’s situation, Karon speculated that in ancient times, when dragons ruled everywhere, almost all dragons were larger than today’s, possibly due to the presence of nourishment from myriad races.

”Do you have any thoughts on Naxson’s suggestion that constraint on Giant Dragon Lords is necessary,”

Karon enjoyed his delicious snacks, feeling the precious metals and gemstones dissolve in his stomach and slowly being absorbed, while idly chatting with Blue Dragon Doss.

Blue Dragon Doss slightly squinted, swallowing the sticky metal in his mouth, savoring the taste and the nourishment of his body.

In private occasions, the interaction between Blue Dragon Doss and the Red Dragon Monarch was not constrained. He understood Karon’s character, knowing that Karon would never deliberately emphasize his status and authority, nor mind seemingly offensive details.

In the eyes of the Red Dragon Monarch, with an ocean-like heart, all deliberately emphasized or maintained points were qualities inherently lacking, especially disdainful in the proud Red Dragon’s heart.

So Blue Dragon, organizing his thoughts, spoke slowly: ”As a dragon, especially a Five-Color Dragon, I dislike being constrained, I believe other dragons feel similarly,”

”However, to obtain something, one must endure certain costs or sacrifices,” Blue Dragon Doss extended a Dragon Claw to scratch the large blue Dragon Horn above his nose, a habit he formed when pondering.

”Therefore, I believe rationally, Naxson’s point makes sense,” Blue Dragon agreed with the Ocean Dragon Law Enforcement Officer’s opinion.

”Dragon Lord indeed requires constraint, uncontrolled supreme power leading to destruction results in terrifying consequences.”

Blue Dragon Doss appeared more intelligent after learning to control Dragon Blood, creating Order Chains from Power of Faith.

”But relying on laws to constrain Dragon Lords won’t work. Dragons govern laws, laws govern people, dragons govern dragons, that’s my thought.”

”An independent Judicial Court and Law Enforcement Department should be established, targeting Dragon Lord’s order departments led by dragons.”

Regardless of Blue Dragon Doss or Ocean Dragon Naxson’s mouth, the discussion about constraining Dragon Lords never mentioned the Red Dragon Monarch before them, even though the Red Dragon Monarch is in a sense part of the Dragon Lord Group.

But they all knew, the kingdom exists because of Karon, just like laws enacted if acknowledged by the Dragon Group.

The law not acknowledged by dragons is mere paper, if Karon leaves, the kingdom collapses.

”Dragons govern dragons, I agree with your thought, Doss,”

Karon endorsed Blue Dragon’s view. Karon never imposed the knowledge within his mind on his territory, aiming to adapt his knowledge to fit his territory, was Karon’s acknowledged approach.

”Establishing independent Judicial Court and Law Enforcement Department isn’t necessary, it would consume many unnecessary resources. In any world, society, or system, the top power tier would not be constrained by these order departments; their rise and fall rely on the will of the small elite.”

Karon thought on his words, providing Blue Dragon Doss time to react, saying: ”Dragon matters remain with dragons, like the kingdom’s top aristocracy, matters always occur and resolve among the small elite.”

”So what should be done,” Blue Dragon Doss furrowed the blue skin between his eyes, expressing his confusion.

”Gomot, once called White King by humans from the Golden City, Doss, you know,” Karon lay on the ground slowly stood up, revealing a smile, his long sharp fangs glinting a chilling light.

Blue Dragon Doss also smiled, though Blue Dragon and White Dragon belong to the same Dragon Group, part of one large family, this title seemingly unfitting for Gomot.

Even if Blue Dragon Doss didn’t explicitly say, the fact that Blue Dragon from the Five-Color Dragon’s upper species had not acquired a title, made Gomot’s title seem exaggerated.

”Gomot also admitted to me, he couldn’t bear this title,”

Karon’s Dragon Claw slightly opened upwards, then flipped down, as if overturning clouds in the sky, recollecting the fallen rain.

The unique aura from the Red Dragon Monarch’s words echoed in Blue Dragon’s ears, like royal authority looming, Overlord towering.

”I will grant Gomot the power to rule all White Dragons; he will become the true White King.”
