Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 309: Chapter 113: Dust Returns to Dust_2

The flying dragon riders in the sky also turned around, swooping towards the priests of the Dragon Worship Sect under the command of the knights.

”Go,” the middle-aged priest wearing a crown completely ignored Saha’s warning and disregarded the heavy swords in the hands of the other Imperial Guard warriors, directly hugging the scripture in his arms and rushing towards the teleportation gate.

Whoosh,

A heavy sword whistled towards him, but the priest wearing a crown dodged it, because that teleportation gate actually allowed the middle-aged priest to rush straight through it, as if it were some kind of real illusion, clearly existing yet untouchable.

”This is the power of Magic Knowledge. I cannot control the teleportation gate you established, but interfering with your teleportation gate is still something I can easily achieve,”

Hovering in the air, Karon spread his wings, along with the also hovering Blue Dragon Doss, surveying the scene below and smiling slightly.

”Damn it, the teleportation gate actually failed,” the high posture and composure on the face of the middle-aged priest wearing a crown finally disappeared, a trace of panic appearing on his face.

”Then we can only rely on ourselves to fight our way out,” a priest with a bell ring on his head leaned on a bell staff, his lips moving quickly as he recited a spell.

The rapid chanting of the spell, accompanied by the fast-paced ringing, carried a strange magic power, causing the robes of the priest wearing the bell ring to inflate as if a storm was stirring underneath.

”At the birth of time, the Time Dragon God Akatosh already existed, ... lost in darkness, scattered without light, admire these diamond-like gleaming blood beads, dragons, your blood is my blood,”

”Your heart is my heart, your bones are my bones, I become a Giant Dragon!”

In an instant, a whirlwind rose from the ground, a series of calls echoed, sand and dust swirled, stones scattered, and black mist rolled around.

The body of the priest with the bell ring suddenly swelled, his bloated body tearing the loose robes apart, and the rapidly growing bones and ripping flesh brought unimaginable pain to the priest.

Ah, ah, ah,

He howled in pain, gradually transforming from a human cry into some sort of beastly roar amidst the pervasive black mist, much like the roar of a wild dragon.

Roar,

A wing suddenly extended from the black mist, two sturdy claws stepped out from it, followed by a head with two horns. Those bestial eyes, almost devoid of intelligence and humanity, a thick neck, a body covered in variegated scales, and a tail bristling with spines.

Bang,

The moment this strange beast stepped out of the black mist, all the black mist instantly seemed to be absorbed, rolling back into the beast’s body, revealing its true form to everyone.

This was a Giant Dragon, a broken dragon, a dragon with severe deficiencies.

It had only one wing, the other one severed at the base, as if it had never grown that wing in the first place.

Furthermore, the mixed colored scales exuded a strong stench, like fish dead for several days, covered in rust, emitting some kind of sinister corrosive energy.

Even the simplest White Dragon would have a trace of wise spiritual light in its eyes, but this broken dragon lacked it entirely, as if all humanity had been consumed by beastliness, reduced to the purest beast.

And true dragons in the world have all limbs intact, yet this broken Giant Dragon only had hind limbs, like those despised Two-legged Flying Dragons, an inferior product.

Roar,

The strange dragon opened its drooling maw, roaring at the charging Imperial Guard warriors.

”Damn, this is, blasphemous blood, these inferior beings, I will kill them all, turn them into charred coal,” as an upper-rank dragon species of the Five-Colored Dragon Species, Blue Dragon Doss suddenly became furious.

He had smelled the scent of True Dragon Blood on this strange, broken Giant Dragon, clearly a bizarre creation by these priests of the Dragon Worship Sect using True Dragon Blood.

”Hehe,” Karon soothed Blue Dragon Doss, ”There will always be people who think that, having some dragon blood, they can evolve into a real Giant Dragon through some means. That’s just a laughable notion,”

”Calm down, Doss, our warriors can handle this. They’re just a bunch of mindless beasts, while we are rulers, lords, true dragons. Not everything requires us to lift a claw; that’s precisely the meaning of the Dragon’s Beloved’s existence.”

Karon’s soothing may not have had an effect, but his fist the size of a sandbag had a mighty deterrent force. Though Blue Dragon Doss wanted to fly down and kill these beasts, he restrained his boiling dragon blood and calmly watched the battle below.

One by one, the priests transformed into broken dragons in the chanting, wielding their enchanted artifacts and Magical Artifacts, and a massive area of the river valley was instantly shrouded in black mist.

But after seeing the teleportation gate fail, the Imperial Guard warriors had already started charging forward, their heavy swords swinging like heavy hammers, smashing directly towards the oncoming broken Giant Dragons.

Boom,

The broken Giant Dragon moved with heavy steps, trampling the soft river valley land, charging straight at them, its foul, drooling maw wide open, its rust-yellow fangs like rows of blades, biting straight towards the heavy sword of the Imperial Guard warrior.

Yet, though strong, the Imperial Guard warrior could not possibly clash head-on with a ten-meter-long Giant Dragon. At the last moment, he abandoned his heavy sword, letting it fly forth with remaining force, caught between the steel jaws of the broken Giant Dragon.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Guard warrior had long since rolled to the side of the broken Giant Dragon, the short spear at his waist, enchanted with armor-piercing and bleeding effects, lit up with the magical power from his Magical Armor and was driven by immense force, piercing fiercely beneath the chest and belly of the broken Giant Dragon.
