Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 316: Chapter 115: The Old Year Has Passed (Part 3)

”To conquer and wage war, is a noble trait that no Red Dragon will refuse.” The vertical pupils of the Female Red Dragon Kleyna similarly burned with flames. This mother dragon showed a particularly fierce personality, even among all the Female Red Dragons.

”You know, Karon, I’m just a White Dragon who follows behind you. Whoever you tell me to bite, I’ll bite,”

White Dragon Camid grumbled as he clutched his treasure chest.

”I only hope those opponents won’t surrender easily. I will bring them a feast of slaughter and death,” Black Dragon Rosani revealed a cruel smile.

White Dragon Gomot lifted his head from a pile of treasures, ”The Dragon Group is a whole, as you said, Karon, you are the King of the Dragon Group, coordinating the will of all the Giant Dragons!”

”My King, Antajena will never defy your will, even if deprived of your favor!” Green Dragon Antajena’s gaze carried a hint of flattery and slight resentment.

Blue Dragon Akzhi directly lowered his head, showing submission to the Red Dragon, ”My King, Master of the Dragon Clans, supreme ruler of the territory!”

Red Copper Dragon Alfred and Bronze Dragon Alina exchanged glances, everything conveyed in their eyes. They lowered their proud heads, and the deep and resonant sound of Dragon Language echoed in the hall: ”Our King!”

Sitting high on the throne, Karon nodded slightly, waving to the soldiers and maids waiting by the walls to bring forth more food and wine.

After aligning the future goals of the Dragon Group, the banquet officially began.

Meats, wines, and fruits flowed like water, delivered by the beloved of the Giant Dragons, and then enjoyed by them.

The hired orchestra walked over the exquisite long carpets, seated in the hall, striking cheerful rhythms and notes.

A group of dancers dressed in fiery gauze, adorned with veils over their heads and faces, revealing their cute bellybuttons, danced barefoot with delicate jade feet, bells jingling on wrists and ankles, performing a lively dance in the center of the hall.

These fiery dancers caught the eyes of many male Giant Dragons, especially two whose reproductive functions were fully developed, their throats gurgling as they continuously gulped down increasingly heated wine but could not extinguish the desires within their bodies.

Fortunately, the Red Dragon seated high on the throne suppressed their urges, preventing any inappropriate acts from occurring.

Particularly one Bronze Dragon, who kept casting a cold gaze at a certain indulged male Giant Dragon, greatly intimidating the male Dragon.

Until completely satiated, with the moon hanging higher in the sky, Karon finally stood up from the splendid banquet and was the first to step out of the King’s Castle.

”Let’s go, let’s see how radiant our territory will be tonight.”

The other Giant Dragons followed the Red Dragon out of the King’s Castle, standing on the mountaintop and gazing at the lights below and afar.

A tall figure with a Dragon Horn had already been standing in front of the Giant Dragon Hall, beside the enormous Golden Bell.

Surrounded by Heroic Spirits residing in the Holy Hall during the day for nurturing, these Heroic Spirits also occasionally appeared around the mountains in the daytime, observing the changes in the territory.

However, the dead cannot be seen by the living, nor can their words be heard by the living, so the residents at the foot of the mountains never found the occasional presence of Heroic Spirits.

Only a very few lucky souls might see the wandering souls near the Heroic Spirit Cemetery.

As the moon reached its zenith, a moment quietly arrived, and the figure standing in front of the Hall extended a hand to heavily strike the silent Golden Bell.

Dong, dong, dong,

The bell’s sound was solemn and grand, ringing from the mountaintop.

Then it spread out, Gold Bells across cities and villages rang on their own, resonating across every part of the territory.

Woosh, bang,

Fireworks shot up simultaneously at this moment, exploding in brilliant flashes, illuminating the dark night skies.

The old year had passed, and the new year had arrived.

Karon stood among the Dragon Group, gazing with satisfaction at this scene, the Dragons around him also immersed in this brief beauty.

A solid figure emerged from behind Karon, then merged into his form.

...

”Carlette sister, don’t you have family? Then spend the New Year with us,” little girl Nora shouted, standing on tiptoe at the window of her relatively new neighboring house.

”Come out quickly, Carlette sister, there are fireworks in the city; they are beautiful,” little girl Nora’s voice drowned in the sound of explosions.

Inside, a young woman with long blue hair emerged from the darkness, taking little girl Nora’s hand and looked up at the sky lit by fireworks, mumbling, ”Family? I don’t even know if I count as one!”

”Come on, let’s set off fireworks too,” the young woman with long blue hair sighed, and suddenly a smile blossomed.
