Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 327: Chapter 121: The Kings’ Council

The body of Blue Dragon Doss, who had always faced Karon with calmness and composure, suddenly tensed up like a flying blue long-horned cat. The dragon blood, controlled by reason, also boiled at this moment.

The pupils of the Blue Dragon lit up, shining like crystal lamps in the pair of vertical pupils of the Blue Dragon.

He noticed the words used by the Red Dragon, granting Gomot the power to rule all the White Dragons, not limited to the Dragon Group. This already made the intentions of this always ambitious Red Dragon crystal clear.

Moreover, since the White Dragons now have their own King, do other Dragon Species also have the same?

The words of the Red Dragon gave Blue Dragon an answer.

”Not just the White Dragons, in the future, each species of Giant Dragon in the Dragon Group will have a Dragon King to manage their own species of Giant Dragons. The Red Dragons will be ruled and managed by Kleyna, and Antajena will temporarily take over the Green Dragons, and Black Dragon Rosani will also become the King of the Black Dragons.”

”Red Copper Dragon Alfred will also take over the Giant Dragons of his kind joining the Dragon Group, as will Bronze Dragon Alina. As for the King of the Blue Dragons, it will be between you and Akzhi.”

Karon’s Dragon Claw slightly clenched, and his majestic and fierce head leaned forward at this moment, approaching the especially shocked cheek of Blue Dragon Doss. Deep and heavy Dragon Language resonated from the throat of this Red Dragon.

”This is the Covenant of the Dragon Group, the Council of Kings, to rule all the Giant Dragons, resolve all disputes, and embrace a common goal.”

Blue Dragon Doss looked up at this massive Red Dragon. Ordinary Giant Dragons, even upper species Five-Color Dragons like the Blue Dragons, would not exceed a size of twelve meters in their teenage years.

Adolescent Blue Dragon Akzhi, at the end of his teenage years, was only about twelve meters in size, and this benefited from Akzhi being a Lord Dragon, who, though not so wealthy, at least had abundant food.

Even a fortuitously endowed Dragon species like the Golden Dragon does not exceed greatly, because during the juvenile stage, not only is the age interval shorter compared to Giant Dragons.

Additionally, Giant Dragons need to constantly grow and improve their body parts, not just to grow their bodies.

But this Red Dragon Monarch, near the end period of the juvenile stage, had already reached a size exceeding sixteen meters, his physique more robust beyond the imagination of a Giant Dragon, matching his unparalleled ambition.

Blue Dragon Doss could not imagine the tremendous power this Red Dragon would possess after the slumber of his adolescence, but it should be enough to gradually support his ambition.

”So, Karon, he will be the Supreme Ruler of the World, the King of Kings ruling over all the Kings of the Dragon Race!” Flashes of thoughts occurred in the mind of Blue Dragon Doss.

But accompanying it was rapidly swelling ambition, a five-color dragon’s nature. Even Blue Dragon Doss could not help but develop a strong desire for competition in the face of such noble authority.

Doss even developed the intent to challenge Blue Dragon Akzhi, like a young Red Dragon, to knock down Blue Dragon Akzhi and seize this authority, becoming the future King of the Blue Dragons.

Luckily, after long practice, every Giant Dragon in the Dragon Group learned how to guide and control their dragon blood. Though they could not maintain quiet rationality and reason like Karon, they would not be controlled by dragon blood at critical moments.

”Those equally ambitious Giant Dragons will not easily acknowledge it. They will challenge us. Even within the Dragon Group, we will face challenges from other Giant Dragons within it, in the increasingly vast Dragon Group of the future.”

Blue Dragon Doss managed to suppress his desire, opening his mouth with difficulty to speak.

”So it’s in the future. Now I’m just giving you all a heads up. As for the challenges from Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group, they’ll have to use their ability and contribution to please me. If they vainly attempt to challenge the order I’ve set down with strength, I’ll make them wake up!”

Karon’s long dragon tail swept across the smooth floor like a broom as he lay back down, saying slightly maliciously, ”That could also evoke some sense of urgency for you, bringing you endless motivation. I’m doing this for your sake.”

Seeing the teasing reflected in Karon’s vertical pupils, Blue Dragon Doss involuntarily shivered. A kind of genuine fear rose from his heart, like climbing ivy taking root and spreading its claws, silently creeping up to the heart of the Blue Dragon.

It is the kind of fear that arises after hearing that in a joyful classroom on holiday, those students who are in a good mood see a teacher standing with a stack of test papers higher than a person at the open door.

At this moment, Blue Dragon finally understood why this Red Dragon never forcibly compelled others to complete his desired goals and actions; it was because he always used other actions and influences to make others move towards the goals the Red Dragon set.

If Blue Dragon Doss learned that Karon had already tried to tame Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group by taming animals during his juvenile period, who knows what thoughts he would conjure.

”Actually, you needn’t worry about us becoming lazy and slack, Karon, because we’re already too busy to have time to indulge in enjoyment now,”

Blue Dragon Doss nodded, a bit speechless, shaking his head. The malice of the Red Dragon was simply adding insult to injury for the inherently lazy Five-Color Dragons.

The Blue Dragon took out a thick stack of scrolls and documents from his Spatial Magic Bag and handed them to Karon for review through a nearby maid.

”These are important project documents that require your approval and signature. Once you agree, they will gradually commence implementation.”

After submitting the documents and some samples, the Blue Dragon lazily lay back down, feigning sleep. White Dragon Gomot had gone to the Royal Capital to preside over the big picture, and now the Golden City was governed by Blue Dragon Doss, which had been Karon’s intention from the beginning.

Letting the Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group take turns to learn how to govern territories, so they could better share Karon’s burdens.

This made Blue Dragon Doss’s life, already not leisurely, even busier. Sometimes awakening in his Dragon Nest atop a mountain at night because of dreams about those mountainous piles of documents.

Karon, meanwhile, was browsing through these submitted documents, relaxing with the recitation provided by a maid beside him, as he placed his claw on the plump thigh of his human maid, Charlize, listening to her gentle voice while contemplating.

”The High-level Mage Association of the Greenfield Forest Plane stationed in the Knowledge Fortress sent word that a one-way teleportation gate to Knowledge Fortress from other planes was discovered in one of the Mage Towers,”

”Based on the comparison and inference of planar coordinates left by stationed Mages, they determined that every plane where Mages left relics has a one-way passage to Knowledge Fortress,”

”Moreover, those planes may have many magic materials that could be used to manufacture Mithra Cores and Elemental Pools, hence stationed Mages applied to dismantle the teleportation gate in Knowledge Fortress for study in the Dragon Group Territory,”

”They also invited you to collaborate with them, to venture into the next plane for exploration, claiming that the knowledge obtained in Knowledge Fortress is only part of a backup, hoping to collaborate with you once more.”

Charlize’s gentle voice carried a rhythmic cadence, an intonation that noble families had through training, with such a rhythm, the girl’s tender voice was like gentle musical notes, providing Karon with a unique auditory enjoyment.
