Chapter 1346: Noelʼs Request

The prime minister couldnʼt help but glance back after exiting the Ardagan family.

He couldnʼt help but recall what Noel had asked from them.

”I donʼt see how youʼre going to benefit from this. What are you trying to ask from us?”

Noelʼs expression remained calm, as though he had expected this question. Noel made a small smile before saying, ”I only wish for one thing. The impending doom is about to arrive.

”If humans canʼt go hand in hand, they will perish. Why do you think I have become a spirit transcendence at this age when people usually reach it at least ten years older than me?

”Iʼm sure you have your own suspicions too.”

”…” The prime minister squinted his eyes. Of course they had. Noelʼs rise to the spirit transcendence was completely beyond their imagination.

They could believe it if Noel started training from his motherʼs womb. However, that wasnʼt true.

No matter how hard they investigated, it would result in the same thing. Noel had never trained his sword or spirits before coming to the Demon Banner Army.

In other words, Noel managed to reach this stage in just a few years. Even Anna was less monstrous compared to him.

Yet, this man had surpassed anyoneʼs expectation and showed the world a path no one could think of previously. In addition, he was also a great mind who managed to create all this technology. Even if it was the credit of his people, it didnʼt change the fact Noel was the one providing them with the runes that allowed all those items to work.

Hence, they couldnʼt comprehend Noelʼs talent.

And this same person asked him that question while telling him that they were staring at their impending doom.

”What do you mean by that, Marquis?” The prime minister squinted his eyes.

Noel sighed. ”Even if I tell you the whole truth, you wonʼt be able to believe me. You might even think Iʼm bluffing to get your support.”

”However, without telling me, I canʼt judge whether itʼs true or not.”

”Thatʼs indeed true.” Noel raised one finger. ”In that case, I will only tell you about the clue. The chaos from 1,000 years ago is about to return.

”This is my only request in exchange for trading the airships. In fact, I have prepared another mode of trains that is much lighter, albeit the consumption is also higher. This is also a perfect transportation for the Atracaeca Kingdom.”

”!!!” The prime minister looked shocked at first before he turned grim.

”All I wish is for you to take my words seriously and research the clues I told you. If you feel suspicious, please investigate it, whether Iʼm lying or not.

”I wonʼt try to sway your decision or force your people to fight. However, if you think that Iʼm telling the truth, I wish you were able to see the bigger picture.

”What are you going to do after learning about it… I will just leave it to you. If you choose to remain as an outsider, I wonʼt stop you from it.

”However, I just believe in one thing. We humans shouldnʼt lower ourselves to be less than livestock. We humans have persisted for thousands of years, witnessing civilization after civilization. We are not cowards.” Noel stopped. ”Thatʼs all I can say. Please relay the message to the Grand Protector. And I hope youʼre able to take it seriously and investigate it. Even if you find nothing, I will accept the result.”

The prime minister fell silent. He had never thought that Noel only wished for an empty promise. Even if they were going to not do it, Noel would still sell the airship.

Still, what kind of terror was Noel worried about? Why would someone as absurd as Noel appear in this world? Was it all not a coincidence?

The moment that seed of doubt was planted in the prime ministerʼs mind, Noel had already won.

Of course, the Atracaeca Kingdomʼs support would be necessary. However, Noel had fought this whole time without relying too much on others. Even in the final battle, he only focused on the northern lords.

Still, it would be better if other kingdoms joined the fight as well.

How would the battle progress and how would the kingdoms respond? Even Noel didnʼt know.

…

The prime minister closed his eyes for a moment before disappearing into thin air. He had to rush back to the kingdom to talk about it with the Grand Protector.

He didnʼt know what would happen after that, but if what Noel said was true, they might truly have to join hands with the Ardagan family.

What actually happened 1,000 years ago?

Meanwhile, after the negotiation, Noel returned to his office calmly, as though everything had gone according to his plan.

Noel muttered, ”I donʼt know the Atracaeca Kingdom, but itʼs most likely that the demons will be coming from the north. In that case, the northern lord or even the Greenwood Kingdom besides us will face the full brunt of their attack.

”Although we have a good relationship with the Greenwood Kingdom, I donʼt know if that kingdom is willing to spill their own blood to resist them.

”In this world where strength rules, I wish there were more sane people.” Noel sighed. ”Nevertheless, the Beast Kingdom will most likely hit them from behind. I need more preparation.

”Iʼm afraid that the demon kings or even the Supreme Devil Organization is about to do something. According to the information I got from my parents, Laufey said the strength of the Supreme Devil remains a mystery.

”According to their strongest devil saint, the Supreme Devil is stronger than him. However, the fact that this strong person hasnʼt come out until now must be because he canʼt go out.

”In that case, I will weaken them for the time being while strengthening myself in this area. I donʼt know what will happen in the future, but I know one thing. I have to win.” Noelʼs expression turned solemn.

He had burned the bridge behind him when telling Anna that he wouldnʼt have a child before winning the battle. In other words, if he lost, the Ardagan family would perish. That was why he couldnʼt afford to lose both for his and her sake.
