System vs Rebirth

Chapter 1343: Four Kingdoms Were Shocked

The Muivell Kingdom.

”What did you say?”

”A flying beast?”

”No. Flying transportation? He doesnʼt stop with just those trains or boats, but heʼs also making flying transportation?”

”This is not good.”

”What happened there?”

The people couldnʼt help but panic after learning about the airships. It was a transportation system that could literally change the world.

After all, the speed and the ability to bypass any terrain had made it so unique. In addition, if there were a lot of explosive or spirit magicians, they could blast everything in its path from the sky. No one was able to fight back, considering Noel should have prepared another rune enchantment. And it was definitely not less than a city wall.

Unlike any other noble, Noelʼs city wall was so strong that it could withstand even superior demons. So, even if they had spirit grandmasters, it was impossible to harm the flying transportation.

In other words, they could only watch helplessly as their cities were getting destroyed from above.

All of them couldnʼt help but feel terrified about this new discovery.

”This is not good.”

”We have to seize them immediately.”

”We canʼt let him have it.”

”How are we supposed to do that? We canʼt use the Tower Association. Even the nobles are getting suspicious. Theyʼre fighting us in the court. If we forcefully seize them, it will cause another wave of dissatisfaction that would definitely lead to a huge rebellion.”

”Do you think we will care about a huge rebellion if we have them? We can just suppress them from the sky.”

”I know that, but do you think the marquis will give it to us just like that? Do you think itʼs possible to even steal it? Even if we steal one, the marquis still has a lot of them.”

”Thatʼs right. Weʼre completely out of options right now.”

”But if we donʼt seize it, the royal faction wonʼt have any power left. This is a rebellion.”

”Even if we manage to steal them, do you think the marquis doesnʼt have anything up his sleeve? After fighting him for so long, you should have realized this already. If we manage to steal all of them, the marquis must have hidden several of them.”

The people started talking about all kinds of possibilities, no matter how absurd they were.

However, they couldnʼt see any way to regain their power. Most importantly, they had realized that if they fought Noel again, Noel would have prepared another counter for them. That was why they couldnʼt do it as easily as before.

This time, they had truly fallen. One more mistake, and the royal faction might collapse entirely. That was why people started to fall into despair, not being able to find the path to victory.

Even Duke Raymond or the king couldnʼt say anything else. They had been outplayed by Noel completely to the point where they thought if they managed to get some victories, it was because Noel wanted them to get those victories while preparing something that could crush them right after.

In the end, they continued the meeting for hours, only to not find a single solution.

…

The Greenwood Kingdom.

Unlike the Muivell Kingdom, the royal court of this kingdom was in a state of euphoria.

”Long live the king.”

”Your Majesty is wise.”

The people were celebrating after the airships arrived at their doorsteps.

Obviously, the king couldnʼt monopolize them. After all, the nobles supported him because they also wanted to take part in it.

Still, as the king, he could be a bit selfish. The king stood up and declared, ”The royal family will only take one of them. In addition, to honor the service of Duke Raincart, I shall bestow one airship to the Ezenholm family.”

The people could understand where it was coming from. As the one with the highest power, the royal family should definitely get one. On the other hand, Raincart was Noelʼs grandfather. If not for Raincart, Noel wouldnʼt work together with the Greenwood Kingdom.

In fact, Noel wanted to work only with the Ezenholm family. Yet, Raincart persuaded Noel to work with the Greenwood Kingdom instead.

Although the king used Noelʼs identity as the descendant of their ancestor, it was clear that Raincartʼs persuasion played the biggest role in this entire collaboration.

Hence, the Ezenholm family deserved one airship.

Then, the king continued, ”Still, I canʼt thank everyone here enough. Hence, I announce that the remaining ships will be shared among all the people who contributed here.

”The Ardagan family is planning to use it for their own network. However, we are different. Ministers. Work on the system where we can utilize all of them together.”

Still, the king also wanted to thank Livia since it was supposed to be her reward. But he couldnʼt really say it because it might cause her brothers and sisters to aim for her life again, and it would just incur the wrath of the Ardagan family.

”Yes, Your Majesty!” The nobles answered in unison.

This was just the start. Once more airships were developed, it wouldnʼt be weird if every one of them could acquire one. That was why they decided to work hard so that they received the favor of the king once that time came.

All of them couldnʼt help but imagine the scene where the airship flew above their territory or even other territories carrying a huge banner about their family. The sense of satisfaction and pride of achieving such a thing couldnʼt be described with words.

It was like they were having a wet dream. And the king had successfully made them work extremely hard for at least a few years.

…

The Zaecuria Kingdom.

”Hahahaha. To think that he has this kind of project hidden from anyoneʼs view…” The king laughed.

”Your Majesty. Itʼs not something to laugh about.”

”I should laugh. He has completely outplayed everyone. That guy is a monster… No, even that word might not be enough to describe him. Donʼt even think about fighting him.” The kingʼs expression turned grim. If they tried such a thing, they might end up experiencing the same thing that the Muivell Kingdomʼs royal family was currently facing.

…

The Atracaeca Kingdom.

The Grand Protector crossed his arms while closing his eyes, realizing the importance of that airship. Unlike other countries, it was hard to travel inside his kingdom due to the environment. But if they had the airship, the travel would become much easier and the economy might become better.

They definitely had to acquire the airship from Noel.
