Chapter 1342 Shocking the People with Airships

”There is nothing here right now. I should retreat for the time being.” A mysterious guy took a peek from a dark alley, watching the movement of the citizens inside the Golden Dawn City. ”I canʼt get exposed by the marquis or I will be dead.”

Before the mysterious guy disappeared into the darkness, he suddenly noticed the people cheering.

”Huh? What happened?” The guy frowned.

”Look at them.”

”What are those?”

”Itʼs so big!”

”Our lord has done something again?”

The bells rang multiple times, alerting the people, but not because of the danger. They simply warned them that something was happening, but it didnʼt have any danger. And the one who rang those bells was none other than Howard.

People started going up the wall, wondering what happened. The mysterious guy couldnʼt help but become curious. He picked up glasses and changed his clothes, becoming a random guy in the city.

Then, he emerged from the alley and started following the citizens, wondering what the marquis was planning.

The moment he climbed to the top of the wall, he could finally see what was happening. Several airships were flying toward the city.

”What is that? Beasts? Flying beasts?” The guy gasped in shock, as he couldnʼt believe what he was witnessing right now.

The airship flew at a low speed so that people didnʼt have to be afraid. They were also not flying too high so that people could recognize them easily.

The airship gradually approached the city before descending, showing their true form.

The people couldnʼt help but drop their jaws to the ground. They didnʼt know what these were.

As planned, Howard climbed the edge of the wall and raised his voice with spiritual energy. He first coughed out loud to grasp their attention. ”Attention, everyone! I know youʼre curious about it, but please listen to what I have to say.

”We are currently introducing the new transportation that can fly to the sky. Iʼm sure you have never experienced something like this, so I will be passing the message that our lord, Marquis Ardagan, has left behind.

”These are airships. Itʼs a new mode of transportation, just like the trains, cars, trucks, or the boats.

”This new transportation will bring people into the sky and reach your destination twice as fast as a train.

”You must have never seen anything like this before. However, this is not the limit. Have you ever seen a sunset from the sky? Have you touched the cloud? Or have you crossed a mountain from above?

”If you havenʼt, this new transportation will allow you to experience it. This is a new technology that has been secretly developed by the Ardagan family and the Greenwood Kingdom.

”Thanks to the help of the Greenwood Kingdom, we are able to make it a reality. Together with the Greenwood Kingdom, weʼll be celebrating the birth of the airship.

”Hence, for the next several days, weʼll be allowing you to experience all this for free. As long as you are a citizen of this land, you are allowed to experience it.

”Anyone from outside the Ardagan familyʼs land will have to wait until the airship is open to the public.

”Starting tomorrow, the Ardagan family will be opening the registration. Each airship can bring 100 to 200 people at once.

”If you wish to experience flying in the sky, please head to the government office next to the Lordʼs mansion to register yourself. So, spread the word.”

Once they heard the announcement, the people couldnʼt help but cheer.

”Uooohh!”

”Flying in the sky?”

”Our lord has just done something unimaginable again!”

”We are able to experience flying in the sky like those spirit users?”

”This is surreal.”

”Long live Marquis Ardagan!”

”Long live the Ardagan family!”

The people kept cheering for Noelʼs name as the words spread like wildfire.

Obviously, they didnʼt spread it just for the people in this city. All those people who had their people in the Golden Dawn City immediately knew what was happening.

”What?” Maxwell looked surprised before leaning back in his chair. ”Ahahaha… A transportation that can fly across the sky? Marquis Ardagan… you truly…”

Maxwell was speechless. But there was a big smile on his face. He was one of the three merchants that had submitted to the Ardagan family.

And it was clear that with so many airships, the Lord was planning to use them like the train. Of course, as a loyal vassal, he would get the privilege as well. It was truly not a mistake recognizing Noel as his master.

The same applied to the other two merchants, Theressa and Zephyr.

…

The Lorelei family.

”Hahahahaha. This is hilarious. To think that the Ardagan family has prepared such a weapon. Everyone will be panicking over this.” Duke Lorelei laughed out loud.

”This is not a laughing matter, Duke Lorelei. Then again, itʼs really surprising.” Countess Christina sighed.

”I hope this will allow the Muivell Kingdom to be more prosperous.” The third princess sighed.

…

The Stargaze family.

”As expected of my brother-in-law. He has made another miracle.” Dylan Stargaze, Annaʼs brother, smiled helplessly.

”Indeed. Thanks to his trucks and cars, we have been able to regain balance in the territory after you became a marquis. With this wave, we should be able to do more.” His assistant, or more like his fiancee, smiled.

”Yeah. Itʼs not like Iʼm competing with him. As long as it helps them, I donʼt mind.” Dylan nodded in agreement.

…

Still, the one who received the airships was not just the Ardagan family.

Of course, the remaining airships immediately went to the royal capital of the Greenwood Kingdom, following the kingʼs order.

The king wanted to surprise a lot of people while showing off what the Greenwood Kingdom had. Because the Zaecuria Kingdom had their boat and achievement in finding a new land, the Greenwood Kingdomʼs king obviously wanted to have the same.

The people he stunned were not just his subjects, though.

The Muivell Kingdom, specifically the noble faction and the royal family, panicked.
