Chapter 1309 I am Laufey Ardagan

”Found you.”

”!!!” Laufey widened his eyes in shock.

”Enemies?!”

”Get ready!” The people under him immediately raised their weapons.

Even if the enemies were strong, they still outnumbered them.

Milfa, on the other hand, was in utter shock. ʼLaufey? Demon Saint Laufey? To think that he would be here… As expected, he is aiming to destroy the Ardagan family. Demon Saint Alexander must be buying time for him by engaging the Demon Banner Army in a skirmish.

ʼHowever, this also means there will be a civil war. After all, Laufey was supposed to be a member of the Ardagan family.ʼ

Milfa knew that the moment they clashed, Leysha would probably handle Laufey. In addition, if necessary, he was ready to help Leysha.

Still, there were Raven and Silvester, two spirit grandmasters. If they played their cards right, they might be able to kill Laufey here, including the rest of the people.

Milfa gathered her strength, but before she could use her ability, Leysha shouted, ”Kill them!”

Milfa couldnʼt help but smile, knowing that this was the signal to attack.

Yet, the most unexpected thing occurred right before her eyes.

”Gaaahhhh!”

”Sir…”

”What are you…”

The people were dumbstruck. They saw Laufey send several heads flying.

”!!!” Milfa felt chills down her spine. ʼWhy did Laufey attack his people? No, wait. His people? Who are his people? Were they the people around him? Were they the people from the Ardagan family?

When she thought about it, the memory reminded her of the fact that Noel could repel Laufey in the fight back then. Although a part of it was because of him, could someone who was far from a spirit grandmaster do anything to Laufey?

No matter how smart he was, it was impossible for Laufey, who had this level of authority, to lose against him.

What if Laufey had never betrayed the Ardagan family? When that thought appeared in her mind, it felt like something clutched her heart. Leysha was still alive, so there was a high chance that Luke Ardagan was the same.

What if the execution was fake? What if Leysha and Luke had been hiding this whole time while building their power? It meant Laufey was their spy.

Laufey turned to the rest of his subordinates and leaped to a few of them before killing them in a single strike. ”I am… Laufey Ardagan!”

”!!!” Milfaʼs face turned grim.

Right after that declaration, Silvester and Raven looped around them, sealing their escape route.

Meanwhile, two spirit grandmasters under Laufey attacked him. ”What are you doing?”

”Are you a traitor?!”

The two spirit grandmasters panicked. They needed to inform their leader right away about Laufeyʼs betrayal.

Unfortunately for them, Leysha had appeared next to them.

Leysha froze them for a bit, sealing their movement. Then, Laufey took that chance to kill both of them in an instant.

”Ice Dome.” Leysha raised both arms, forming a massive dome that isolated them from the outside world. ”Frozen Lake.”

She even sealed the floor, preventing anyone from digging the ground to escape.

As if they had been planning this whole time, Laufey started striking down the people from the Supreme Devil Organization in rapid succession.

In addition, his eyes met with Milfa, asking, ”What are you doing? Is this how the current captain of the Demon Adjudicator Squad behaves? How embarrassing.”

”!!!” Milfa shuddered. She gritted her teeth. Laufey being the traitor of the Demon Banner Army as well as the Ardagan family was a well-known fact. No one would imagine he was still on the same side this whole time.

Now that she thought about it, Oscar sent her to help the Ardagan family. Had he known this fact the whole time?

Milfa gritted her teeth. Even though she wasnʼt included in the ranking list, she was still the closest captain to Oscar, as well as the third strongest person in the Demon Banner Army.

In addition, her squad was in charge of managing and delivering rewards and punishments for other squads. Yet, she didnʼt know all this.

The frustration alone made her furious. She definitely had to demand an explanation after this.

”You bastard!” Milfa roared and leaped into the air, forming multiple light pillars all around the battlefield.

With their strength combined, there was no way Laufeyʼs subordinates could do anything against them.

After all, Laufey had accepted the demon, which caused his strength to soar, surpassing a normal grandmaster.

Leysha had taken a peek at the transcendent path while Milfa was only a bit weaker than her. In addition to Silvester and Raven, they swept the entire group in less than ten minutes.

The people were confused, never expecting Laufey to be a traitor.

But none of them were able to escape.

…

”What is going on?” Milfa asked out loud, glaring at Laufey and Leysha. ”You have faked the execution while you… Arenʼt you a traitor?”

Silvester and Raven stood in front of her, stopping her.

”Please calm down, Miss Milfa.”

”You have to wait.”

”How can I wait? You have been plotting this whole time.” Milfa gritted her teeth.

”Should we forcefully stop her, Madam?” Silvester asked.

”Donʼt mess with her face. If not, Dimitri will kill you.” Raven smirked.

”Fine by me. Since you wish to die first, I will fulfill it.” Milfa clenched her fists.

”No need to stop her. If you want to hear the explanation, calm down and sit down. I canʼt speak if you donʼt stop shouting.” Leysha sighed.

Milfaʼs lips were shaking as though she wanted to say something. But if she continued, Leysha might definitely get annoyed and not explain anything to her. If she threatened them, there was a chance they would eliminate her.

After all, she didnʼt know what kind of agreement they had struck with Oscar.

She bit her lips, having no other choice.

Leysha turned back to Laufey. ”Itʼs been a while, Laufey.”

”Iʼm sorry, Sister-in-law. Even though I want to catch up with you, I canʼt do it…” Laufey had a pained expression on his face as he muttered, ”I… donʼt have a lot of time left.”
