Chapter 1345: Big Day

”So, this is the airship. Itʼs definitely impressive.” Maxwell had no words to explain the majestic feeling he got after looking at the airship for the first time.

”Itʼs indeed amazing. I have never thought transportation like this would even come to reality, especially in my generation.” Theressa nodded.

”Thanks to the marquis, such a thing is not impossible anymore.” Zephyr nodded. ”Ah, look. They are planning to board the airship. I guess we should go there.”

”Indeed.” The one replying to his remark was not the other two merchants but Noel. Those three hurriedly turned around and respectfully greeted Noel. ”Lord Marquis.”

Noel waved his hand. ”Good morning, everyone. Iʼm glad that you three are here.”

”Of course, how can we not be here after asking us to witness such amazing transportation?” Maxwell smiled.

Noel chuckled. ”Anyway, the purpose of this show is to have as many people as possible get used to this first. After all, other types of transportation have their predecessors, like a normal carriage or a normal boat, but not this.

”Unfortunately, the number of airships is not enough for me to give you one after contributing so much to the family.” Noel shook his head helplessly.

”Please donʼt say that, my lord.” Maxwell panicked. Of course, they never expected Noel to give them this airship, but the fact that they could possess one alone was amazing.

Theressa nodded furiously. ”Yes, my lord. Youʼve done a lot for us. Weʼre just repaying you.”

Zephyr was the only one who didnʼt know what to say.

Noel nodded. ”Well, once the number of airships increases, a lot more people will have them. Still, it has to be regulated strictly.”

”Indeed. Once you have this kind of transportation, although it can fly outside the route, a single crash will be extremely terrifying. Not only the goods but all the humans inside might die without any chance of surviving.” Maxwell nodded.

”Yes.” Noel agreed. Elaine would be working on it once she finished her vacation. ”Anyway, you should get on board and experience it yourself. If thereʼs anything unsatisfactory, please tell me about it. Iʼd love to learn how I can improve this even further.”

”Are you not going with us, my lord?” Maxwell looked a bit shocked, considering Noel was the lord.

”As much as I want to, I canʼt do it right now. I have an important guest coming.” Noel smiled wryly.

”I understand. I apologize for asking such a sensitive question.” Maxwell lowered his head.

”Itʼs fine. For the time being, you should go. I will stay around until a few airships are gone.”

”Yes.”

The three of them politely bowed to him before boarding the airship.

There were a lot of people on the ground, still waiting for their turn. Noel stood on top of the wall, observing the airshipʼs process from boarding to taking off.

Of course, Rui was actually around not only to witness such amazing technology but also to ensure everyoneʼs safety. After all, with Anna occupied by work and Melissa leaving the territory, there were only him and Rui who could protect this territory as spirit transcendence.

Hence, Noel asked Rui to take care of the airship.

The airship started to take off, carrying a lot of people. All the people who had been working on the workshop had enough mastery to operate the airship, so the process went quite smoothly. With more and more airships flying in the sky, the peopleʼs nervousness started to disappear as they started enjoying the majestic sight the airships brought.

This was the first time they overlooked the entire city… no, the entire land from the sky. It simply gave them a different feeling.

Noel had tightened the security to avoid people making a ruckus because of their excessive excitement. At the same time, he had made an observation deck with vertical glass so that people couldnʼt jump over the railing.

Once a few of them were gone, Noel finally returned to his mansion.

As he said earlier, he had an important guest.

And it was surprising that the Great Protector of the Atracaeca Kingdom, who assumed the position of the prime minister, personally came. He must have rushed here by foot at his full speed to reach here in just a day.

”Iʼm sorry for making you wait.” Noel entered the room.

The minister politely stood up and greeted Noel. ”I should be the one apologizing because I have come without any notice. The airships are truly amazing.”

”I know youʼre coming for the airships. However, I might have to cut to the chase right away.” Noel took his seat before speaking with a solemn expression. ”I canʼt give you the airships.”

”Thatʼs…” The prime minister didnʼt know how to react. He was ready to negotiate the price, but if Noel didnʼt have the intention to sell it, there was no negotiation.

The prime minister wanted to persuade Noel, but Noel waved his hand. ”Please listen to me first until Iʼm done.

”The airship might be good, but please be honest with me. Do you think that such a thing will only be for the domestic?”

”!!!” The prime minister widened his eyes in shock. ”Donʼt tell me…”

”Yes. Unlike other transportations, Iʼm planning to separate the domestic and international ones. As such, the airship itself will be divided into two categories: the passenger airship and the cargo airship.

”I believe by employing both of them, we can create a network that no one has ever seen before. Exported goods will become much cheaper.

”Hence, I canʼt give you the airship yet. Instead, Iʼd like the Atracaeca Kingdom to help me arrange the law for the domestic and international flight first before I can agree to sell it to you. I might be overdoing it by taking care of your law, but this is extremely important not just for now, but for a long future.

”The Greenwood Kingdom has been on board and their laws are almost completed, so theyʼre currently the only ones who have become our partner.

”Thatʼs the only condition I have before selling the airship to you. By the time youʼre done with the laws, Iʼm sure we have a lot more improved airships.” Noel smiled. ”If you can agree to it, I donʼt mind if we make a contract right now.”

The prime minister looked shocked. In the end, they indeed needed to have the laws to regulate the airship. He thought Noel would be asking more about it, but he never expected Noel to be so generous.

The prime minister couldnʼt help but ask, ”Pardon my rudeness, Marquis Ardagan. Your condition is indeed necessary, but I donʼt see how youʼre going to benefit from this. What are you trying to ask from us?”
