Chapter 1327: Returning to the Ardagan Family

Just like the capital, Noelʼs return was extremely anticipated by his people.

They had no choice but to create a parade all the way to the mansion. For them, having a lord that wasnʼt just good at governing but also had numerous achievements was like a dream.

They couldnʼt help but feel proud, knowing that they lived under such a lord.

The cheers greeted their return and accompanied them until they reached their mansion.

”Welcome back, Master.” Tristan and Livia stood in front of the mansion, bowing their heads.

”Oh. It seems you guys have done a great job.” Noel smiled. ”Well done.”

”Thank you, Master.”

Noel nodded and turned to the others. ”Thank you for your hard work. It must be hard taking care of my disciples.”

”Theyʼve done a great job. Itʼs not hard to support them.” Rose shook her head while the others just nodded their heads, agreeing with her statement. ”It must be a tiring journey. How about getting some rest first, my lord?”

”I will do that after hearing what happened in the past six weeks. So, donʼt worry.” Noel waved his hand.

”In that case, this way, Master.” Tristan opened the door, guiding him back to the meeting hall.

The ones coming to this meeting were Tristan, Livia, Dimitri, Rose, Harley, Howard, Khalid, Elaine, and Jasmine.

”You should go ahead. I will be taking care of Rui and Melissa.” Anna chose to step back. These two were their spirit transcendences, so someone had to express their gratitude and arrange the things for them.

Noel nodded. ”Sure. Thanks.”

After Anna took her leave, Noel immediately headed to the meeting hall and finally turned to Rose and Tristan. ”So, who will be the one telling me?”

Rose and Tristan exchanged looks. Considering Tristan was the acting lord, he was the one recounting all the experiences. Rose would add a few things to make sure nothing was missing.

Noel was quite surprised. Although he had predicted it to a certain extent, there were a few developments that surpassed his imagination.

And those were Duke Loreleiʼs pill, the lack of an attack from the Supreme Devil Organization, the third princessʼ involvement, and the third princeʼs ability.

ʼThis is quite surprising. The Supreme Devil Organization didnʼt attack? That shouldnʼt be it. They must have attacked us. Did Melisa exterminate them?

ʼI donʼt think so. Although Melissa is our ally, she is a much more passive one. Unless it involves this city, she wonʼt make her move. Thatʼs the agreement I have with her.

ʼIn that case, something must have intervened. Is it the Demon Banner Army? The Moon Temple? Or… donʼt tell me… my father? The only one who can intervene without any trace is probably them. I donʼt know their strength, but if they can stop the Supreme Devil Organizationʼs attack, I should safely assume that there are at least several grandmasters. Nevertheless, it doesnʼt seem theyʼre planning to reveal themselves too soon. There are also problems with their execution. I guess I will visit them sometime this month.ʼ

Noel turned to Elaine. ”Still, to think that you would be willing to turn down the ministerʼs position for the Ardagan family…”

Elaine looked down. ”I believe that my lord has predicted it as well. They wonʼt really give me the minister position. They will just use me before abandoning me. Thatʼs why I just believe I should do what benefits me the most.

”And Iʼm not a heartless person. My lord has helped my family this whole time without me knowing it. I feel grateful to the lord for his kindness even though my family has tried to harm you.”

Noel waved his hand. ”Still, you deserve a reward. Is there anything you want?”

Elaine shook her head. ”Iʼm just grateful for the thought. Please think of it as a way for me to repay your kindness.”

Noel smiled. ”Is that so? I canʼt really give permission to your father to return from his exile, but I was thinking about expanding the road to your territory and had you be the envoy to deliver that contract… I guess you donʼt want to…”

Elaineʼs body trembled. When Noel gave her such a reward, there was no way she could refuse. She had been here for over a year, so she was missing her family. At the same time, she wondered how the family and the territory were going.

With the help of the train, it wouldnʼt be hard for them to redevelop their land. No, they might even be able to surpass their previous achievement.

Elaine wanted to say yes, but it would be awkward if she accepted it right away. She was facing a dilemma.

”Ahahaha. Iʼm just teasing you.” Noel turned to Rose. ”Give me paper and ink.”

Rose nodded and immediately brought them. Noel scribed the contract, stating the expansion of the road as well as the train.

He then declared out loud, ”Elaine Lesen. Accept your order. Go to the Lesen family and deliver this letter to me. You are to convince them to accept this agreement and are expected to return here within a week.”

Elaine was overjoyed. She had never expected Noel would be this generous.

The journey to the Lesen family back and forth would take a total of five days by using a normal carriage. However, they had both the train and the car. Even the two-way trips would take less than a day with them.

Noel used the time expected from a normal carriage so that it would look like a normal order. At the same time, he didnʼt limit her transportation method so that she could spend time with the rest of the family.

Elaine hurriedly fell on one knee and lifted her hand, receiving the letter from here directly. She wanted to tear up but didnʼt want to embarrass herself. Still, one thing was clear. She truly felt glad to work for the Ardagan family.

”I, Elaine Lesen, will not disappoint you, my lord.”
