Chapter 1325 Reward

”Who does your loyalty belong to, Marquis Ardagan?”

When Noel heard that question, he just smiled and lifted up his head, looking at the king with a sincere gaze.

”My loyalty has remained the same ever since I was born in this world. My loyalty belongs to the Muivell Kingdom. I will do my best for the prosperity of the kingdom.”

”!!!” The people widened their eyes in shock. Only Kevin was smiling, as though he had expected this answer.

The king obviously wanted to trap Noel into saying his loyalty belonged to the royal family. However, Noel dodged it by announcing his true loyalty.

Since it belonged to the Muivell Kingdom, there was no word that should be protested. After all, saying Noel was wrong meant working for the Muivell Kingdom was wrong.

At the same time, this was a clear message for all nobles in this hall.

Noel worked for the Muivell Kingdom. If destroying the current king would actually lead to the prosperity of the Muivell Kingdom, he might actually do it.

This was a threat to the royal family, especially the current sovereign. It was clear that Noel would eliminate them without hesitation. At the same time, telling everyone that he was going to rebel would show that the royal family couldnʼt see whatʼs right and whatʼs wrong, which would worsen the royal familyʼs position even further.

For Noelʼs allies, this was a message telling them that if they wanted to continue working for him, all he wanted was the Muivell Kingdom to develop. Everything in its way was considered a threat and would be removed.

However, none of this was actually true. This was actually a message from Noel to the third princess.

In Eleanorʼs ears, Noelʼs words sounded like, ʼIf you donʼt wish to clash with me and instead work together with me, I will make the Muivell Kingdom a great kingdom that can dominate other kingdoms.ʼ

It was aligned with what Eleanor had prepared. She just confirmed it directly from Noel.

There was nothing more relieving for Eleanor.

The king was furious, but at the same time, he couldnʼt do it. Noel had cleverly dodged his trap, but this time, he had prepared several traps.

The king continued, ”Iʼm glad that there is a noble like you who will work tirelessly for the sake of the kingdom. Since you have accomplished a great thing, Iʼll grant you a name, the Lord of the Moonlight.

”Your territory will be expanded toward the north. I hope youʼre able to continue working for the Muivell Kingdom.”

”Itʼs an honor.” Noel lowered his head. The Lord of the Moonlight. That would be Noelʼs title from now on. With that title and the expansion of the territory, the royal family barely managed to escape from giving them more money.

Besides, this title was the reflection of him being a spirit transcendence. Even the marshal and the commander of the Demon Banner Army had their respective titles.

However, there was a problem. It was none other than Anna Stargaze. Because both of them had worked together and the fact that she had become another spirit transcendence forced him to give Anna a reward as well.

Fortunately, unlike the Ardagan family, Anna still had the Stargaze family.

Hence, the king announced, ”For your contribution to the Muivell Kingdom, I shall bestow the Lady of the Sun to Anna Stargaze. The Stargaze family will be expanded all the way to the Land of Elesis. I hope that youʼre able to continue working for the Muivell Kingdom.”

”Itʼs my honor, Your Majesty.” Anna remained calm.

However, that title was like an insult to Noel and Anna. Noel was shown as the moon who received the light from the sun, meaning it was Anna who contributed more to their family. In addition, the sun represented the day, while the moon represented the night, which was the opposite. It was as if they were in discord, even though none of these were true.

The allied nobles couldnʼt help but clench their fists. How could the king insult them like this?

Noel and Anna particularly didnʼt care about the title. After all, they both knew that the kingʼs real target was not them. It was Incetta.

As they expected, the king turned to Incetta.

”Young lady. It seems you have worked hard. May I know your name?”

”Iʼm Incetta, Your Majesty. Itʼs an honor to be graced by your great presence. I have done nothing notable, so Iʼm not worthy of your praise.”

”The fact that you have become one of the three people who manage to create a history, you shouldnʼt be too modest.” The king smirked. ”For your achievement, I will bestow upon you the title of Marquis and your land will be the Land of Rayais. I will also bestow upon you the marriage of the Crown Prince and will raise your status as a princess.”

”!!!” The people couldnʼt help but widen their eyes in shock.

The royal family was so shameless. By forcing her to marry the crown prince, he could break the relationship between her and the Ardagan family. This would be a huge blow to the Ardagan family.

Obviously, this reward was a little too much.

Nobles started expressing their discontent, starting from Marquis Stargaze.

”Your Majesty. I believe this is inappropriate. Bestowing her a title might be a good reward, but a marquis rank is not something you should hand over so easily, let alone bestowing the marriage of the crown prince. Please reconsider.”

Another noble stepped forward and said the same thing. ”I hope Your Majesty can reconsider.”

However, the royal faction realized what the king was planning to do. Duke Raymond stepped forth and claimed, ”I believe this is appropriate. The fact that she is one of the three people who have stepped on the island across the sea means there is potential for her to step on further land, which will be rich in resources and other things. Taking the first step is the hardest one, so I support Your Majestyʼs decision.”

The people were ready to argue, but Noel, who would be the most concerned about it, remained calm, expecting this reward from the start.
