Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 338: Chapter 221: Homeland Reconstruction Plan (Double Chapter Combined)_3

After speaking, Miss Jenny left in a hurry.

Naoki also returned to the ranch with a group of Pokémon.

The hardest-working Pokémon today was undoubtedly Gogoat.

Upon returning to the ranch, Naoki immediately filled their feeding troughs with Grassy Seed.

Gogoat smelled the Grassy Seed, bleating as it squeezed to the trough and began eating heartily, replenishing its Grass Type Energy.

Naoki clapped his hands and put the basket away.

Next, he had to address the food and shelter issues for this group of Pokémon.

Including the Greedent, Tinkatink, Tandemaus, Grafaiai, and Bellibolt from before, there were a total of sixteen refugee Pokémon.

Naoki originally wanted to include Cramorant, but that Cramorant flew off somewhere and couldn’t be found.

The food issue was easy to solve. This year’s orchard had a bountiful harvest of Berries, which could be stored to help these Pokémon through the coming winter.

As for shelter...

Naoki thought for a moment, then went to the old house’s storage room, found a hammer and saw, and began crafting sturdy and beautiful wooden huts for them using planks and nails.

These various-sized huts were set up by Naoki in the Berry Garden.

Wattrel liked to live in high places, so its nest was fixed on a Berry tree by Naoki.

The other Pokémon didn’t have specific requirements, so Naoki installed their nests under different fruit trees.

Walking through the orchard, every few trees you could see a small wooden hut designed specifically for small-sized Pokémon.

Moreover, Naoki placed special windproof and cold-proof materials inside the huts and spread a thick, furry blanket inside.

Once a hut was completed, Greedent was the first to try it out.

It burrowed into the warm hut, its burnt and bare tail clearly feeling the softness and comfort of the blanket beneath, making Greedent let out a satisfied sigh.

This was even more perfect than the tree hollow it previously lived in.

It could almost imagine how comfortable it would feel hiding in this hut during a snowy winter outside.

Seeing the expression on Greedent’s face, Naoki couldn’t help but smile and said, ”If you like it, when the reconstruction on the back mountain is finished, I can make you another hut there.”

Upon hearing this, Greedent’s face immediately showed an expression of surprise and delight.

”Alright, have fun, I’m going to check on the other Pokémon,” said Naoki.

He made a round through the orchard.

Wattrel, Tandemaus, Surskit, Slakoth, Hoppip, Kricketune, Shroomish, and other Pokémon were very satisfied with these wooden huts, and they were also full of gratitude toward Naoki for providing them with shelter.

Seeing this, Naoki smiled but didn’t say much, only encouraging them to settle down here peacefully.

Then he came to the Bellibolt.

Due to its size, Bellibolt was not suitable for living in the wooden huts.

Therefore, Naoki could only send it to the Underground Cave where the Naclstack and Diglett lived.

The cave had an underground lake and, being a distance from the Ground level, even in winter, it remained quite warm, making it an ideal wintering spot for Bellibolt.

After settling these Pokémon, Naoki finally found some free time.

Standing in the ranch, he suddenly remembered the sleepy Tinkatink at home and hurriedly made his way back to the house to check on Tinkatink.
