Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 317: Chapter 214: Cyclizar the Little Angel (4k)_2

The harmony between the Pokemon had returned once more.

Cyclizar was a bit tired and found a comfortable place to lie down and sleep.

Although Cyclizar had forgiven it, Naclstack still felt uneasy inside.

It turned its head to check on Cyclizar from time to time and was extra cautious even while walking, fearing it might step on any small Pokemon and accidentally hurt them.

Naoki and Koraidon retreated under the eaves.

Recalling Cyclizar’s reaction just now, Naoki couldn’t help but say, ”Cyclizar really is a little angel.”

”Gaaagh~”

Koraidon had long gotten used to Naoki praising Cyclizar.

Now, besides acceptance, it also felt a sense of shared honor and disgrace.

Naoki laughed, ”I’m praising Cyclizar, why are you so happy? I remember at the beginning, you seemed to not quite... not quite like it.”

Koraidon had a silly expression on its face: ”Gaaagh.”

”Nevermind, it’s good that you two can get along!” Naoki didn’t press further, as Koraidon is a Pokemon with a strong territorial instinct, just not fighting with Cyclizar was already good enough.

Supporting himself on the ground of the corridor with his hand, Naoki let out a deep breath and remembered that Koraidon often hung out with Cyclizar. He then asked:

”By the way, has Cyclizar ever told you what it’s interested in?”

Hearing this, Koraidon tilted its head in curiosity: ”Gaaagh?”

Naoki explained, ”Isn’t Cyclizar’s birthday coming up? I’m thinking about getting it a birthday gift, but I still don’t know what to choose.”

Koraidon understood and couldn’t help but recall the past when it was still Cyclizar and received gifts from Naoki.

At that time, Naoki gave a scarf and custom-made thermal clothing for Cyclizar.

Koraidon remembered the clothes were made from Wooloo’s wool, like a little vest, its limbs could stretch out from holes, and the wool would protect its body and tummy, along with a scarf, it was very warm in the winter.

It loved that outfit, but unfortunately, it wore it for so long that it eventually broke after many patches, and Naoki finally placed it at the bottom of the wardrobe.

Therefore, Koraidon provided an answer without hesitation: ”Gaaagh!”

Just then, a chilly autumn breeze blew past.

An idea suddenly formed in Naoki’s mind.

Warm, protective clothing!

He remembered that the town sold scarves and clothing for Pokemon!

With winter soon approaching, he could give them to Cyclizar in advance so it could be ready for the upcoming winter.

”Got it!”

Naoki suddenly stood up, ready to head into town.

Cyclizar had injured its tail and wasn’t suitable for carrying him to town. Moreover, Naoki intended to keep it a secret from Cyclizar, planning to give it a surprise later.

So, for this trip, he chose to ride the more inconspicuous Gogoat into town.

Before leaving, Naoki reminded Koraidon, ”Don’t tell Cyclizar what we talked about today!”

Koraidon: ”...”

Seeing Koraidon nod, Naoki mounted onto Gogoat’s back and set off towards Porto Marinada Town.

Having not visited for a long time, Porto Marinada Town was still bustling and lively as ever.

Following his memory, Naoki headed straight to the Pokemon Beauty Salon.

Only here would they sell Pokemon accessories.

A Pokemon Stylist dressed in brightly colored clothes and stylishly dressed greeted him.

”Good afternoon, young man! Are you here to style this Gogoat? Oh my! Its fur is so lush and soft! Hmm, it would perfectly suit the hairstyle I recently designed.”

Saying this, the stylist slid a depiction of a Furfrou with a mohawk hairstyle toward Naoki.

He covered his mouth with a light laugh, ”Would you like to try this trendy hairstyle?”

Naoki: ”...”

Gogoat understood what this strange person was saying.

It leaned in to take a look and its eyes widened immediately.

”Baaah!”

Green light began to surge on Gogoat’s body, and with a displeased look, it glanced at the human planning to shear its wool, appearing ready to unleash a Grass Sacred Sword if the person moved.

”Ohoho, don’t be mad!”

Naoki couldn’t accept these trendy hairstyles and styles, finding them too non-mainstream and trendy.

He pushed those thoughts aside, asking, ”Do you have any clothes suitable for Cyclizar to wear? I want to get it something for winter.”

”Cyclizar?” The stylist seemed surprised, ”No, we only have clothes for small dog Pokemon.”

Realizing he had come to the wrong place, Naoki politely bid farewell and rode Gogoat to a store that specialized in clothing.

However, this time, they were left empty-handed again.

”Indeed, large stores only sell human clothing.”

Standing in front of the store, Naoki didn’t know where else to look for a moment.

Just then, a young female store employee called out to him from inside the store.

Naoki turned around, looking puzzled.

The girl asked, ”Are you looking to buy warm clothes for Cyclizar for the winter?”

Naoki nodded, ”Yes.”

The girl said, ”I’m afraid there are no such clothes in Porto Marinada Town because clothes would affect Pokemon’s movements, so aside from some wealthy ladies who pursue Pokemon fashion, it’s rare for anyone to dress Pokemon.”
