Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 303: Chapter 208: Lugia, Your Ultimate Move Is Mine Now!

”Beside this, are there any other new moves?” Naoki asked again.

New moves? Dragonite blinked its big eyes, paused for a moment, then had a sudden realization as a small light bulb lit up above its head.

”Roar!”

Naoki raised an eyebrow slightly: ”Alright then, let’s see what changes you have!”

Dragonite immediately began demonstrating.

It flew to a relatively open grassy area, and Naoki, along with a bunch of Pokémon, hurried over, standing in a row to observe Dragonite.

Dragonite focused and held its breath, carefully sensing the changes within its body.

After eating those few buns, it felt it could perceive the flow of air currents more clearly, and could manipulate these currents and Flying Type energy at will.

As for the newly generated changes...

Dragonite glanced at Naoki, then suddenly flapped its wings, a gale sweeping forth instantly, forming powerful wind vortexes, blasting ahead.

Witnessing this scene, Naoki was momentarily stunned.

”Is this... Hurricane? No, not quite.”

Naoki had seen Dragonite use Hurricane before, the preparatory motion of Hurricane was quite different from the current move.

”Compared to Hurricane, this seems more like the Flying Type’s Gust.” He murmured thoughtfully: ”However, the power and appearance seem enhanced, possibly because the Storm Steamed Bun significantly boosted Dragonite’s talent and control in the Flying Type.”

Naoki then recalled the Rain Dance move Dragonite had just performed.

Although he couldn’t see the specific boundaries, the area covered by the rain curtain surely included Porto Marinada Town.

A question couldn’t help but surface in Naoki’s mind.

Could the normal Pokémon’s Rain Dance have such a large range?

Evidently not.

While pondering, Dragonite began to demonstrate its second move.

Its small dragon wings gathered together, seemingly brewing something.

The next second, Naoki saw a storm surge from Dragonite’s front.

The tightly compressed storm began rotating rapidly, eventually forming an air vortex, launched from Dragonite’s front.

Dragonite deliberately controlled the direction of the move.

The air vortex exploded violently mid-air, transforming into a more intense cyclonic force, swirling and lingering.

One can imagine the scene if opposing Pokémon were hit by this move.

Naoki: ”...”

Seeing this, Naoki fell into an unusual silence.

If he wasn’t mistaken, the move just now seemed to be Lugia’s exclusive move, Aeroblast, right?

Did Dragonite just copy over that exclusive move?

”Roar?”

Finishing the demonstration, Dragonite landed excitedly in front of Naoki, wearing a look pleading for praise.

”...Well done.” Naoki could only say.

It’s just unknown what Lugia would feel seeing this.

Dragonite immediately became pleased, cheering: ”Roar!”

And that’s not all it can do!

If it were on the ocean, it could, like its giant Dragonite predecessor, instantly stir up a storm, trigger a tsunami, and with the addition of thunder...

Such power was something Dragonite never previously imagined!

Amid its excitement, Dragonite didn’t forget to give Naoki a big hug.

It hadn’t forgotten that everything it had today was thanks to Naoki.

Even without those magical buns, it was very satisfied.

Seeing this, the two nearby wild Dragonite and five Dragonair were filled with envy.

They naturally understood the reason for Dragonite’s growth.

So in the next moment, several large and small dragons all came surrounding, indicating they also wanted it.

Seeing their actions, Dragonite proudly flaunted: ”Roar!”

See that? Such a good Trainer is its own!

All the dragons: ”...”

Naoki helplessly shrugged: ”That’s all. That kind of cuisine was a one-time existence, cannot be sought or obtained unless you bring me back Lugia’s feather powder.”

A Dragonair blinked, puzzled: ”Roar?”

What is Lugia?

”Lugia...” Naoki explained: ”That’s the legendary Sea God, asleep at the bottom of a deep trench, possessing incredible strength capable of subduing the turbulent sea, always guarding the ocean and the Pokémon dwelling within.”

The two wild Dragonite and five Dragonair were filled with confusion, their expressions becoming somewhat troubled.

They had never heard of nor seen such a Pokémon, even searching would be impossible.

The legendary Sea God...

Suddenly, the shiny Dragonair linked this to an incident at Naoki Ranch.

That was Naoki always offering tribute to a legendary Pokémon, and not only that, he even referred to it as the God of Agriculture.

According to information it got from Butterfree, when Naoki prayed to that God of Agriculture, the crops on the ranch would suddenly grow the next morning.

This was the blessing Naoki received from that deity.

With this in mind, Dragonair pondered if they could do it like Naoki, by offering cherished berries to the Sea God on Dragonite Island, would the Sea God respond to their prayers?

They did not want big pumpkins or corn; they only desired a trivial feather, just like the scales they occasionally shed.

Dragonair thought of a good idea and immediately whispered it to the other Dragonair and Dragonite.

Hearing this, the Pokémon’s eyes lit up, their faces full of eager anticipation.

So they didn’t stay to play at the ranch and immediately prepared to head back to Dragonite Island, not forgetting to grab their Poffin Box before leaving.

Seeing them leaving, Naoki was quite surprised: ”Leaving so early today? Not playing a bit longer?”

”Roar!”

The two wild Dragonite responded without turning their heads, while the five Dragonair followed closely behind, heading toward Dragonite Island.

Naoki was speechless.

Having not eaten the Translation Nuts, he couldn’t understand Pokémon speech, but judging by the appearance of this group of Dragonair, they seemed to have something important to do?

Naoki didn’t ponder too long; he turned back to his own Dragonite, summarizing the enhancements the Storm Steamed Bun had brought it.

”Overall, not many new moves were learned; rather, there was more enhancement in controlling Flying Type energy.”

For example, although Dragonite used to influence nearby weather with mysterious aura releases, it couldn’t freely manipulate airflow.

But now it can.

”I’d really like to know what Lugia’s expression would be seeing Dragonite use Aeroblast.”

Could this be considered a sort of ntr up front?

It’s a pity Naoki currently had no way to travel far, and even if he went to Johto, it’s uncertain if he could meet Lugia.

Because the Silver Wing was already made into buns, it couldn’t summon anything currently.

However, Naoki wasn’t discouraged, for in life, there’d always be opportunities!

*

Life on Dragon Island remained unchanged.

Leisurely, relaxed, and lively.

After returning to the island from Naoki Ranch, Dragonair and Dragonite immediately rummaged through the shrubbery for their cherished berries.

Dragonair hadn’t grown hands yet and couldn’t hold them, so they had to hand them over for the two Dragonite to hug.

They then followed the Dragonite to the seaside.

With excitement in their hearts, they looked at the calm blue sea, and then sent the berries they hugged into the ocean.

Accompanied by the crashing waves, the berries bobbed up and down in the water, quickly being absorbed into the sea.

Dragonites stood on the shore watching them go, couldn’t help but wonder: would the Sea God receive them?

Then, several dragonites from the island noticed their actions.

Curious, they gathered around, asking eagerly: ”Roar?” (What are you doing?)

Dragonite cheerfully replied: ”Roar!” (Gifting the Sea God. Naoki said if we do this, the Sea God would hear our prayers and respond, gifting us better presents!)

Hearing this, the shiny Dragonair couldn’t help but feel somewhat guilty.

For Naoki never said such a thing; it was a guess on Dragonair’s part based on Naoki’s daily activities.

Dragonair carefully recalled.

Their actions were all based on Naoki’s doings; surely it should be fine?
