Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 301: Chapter 207: Storm Steamed Bun (Double Chapter Combined)

”It really is the same series of ingredients as the feather powder of Zapdos!”

Seeing the information on these feather powders, Naoki calmed down, surprisingly not appearing too shocked.

Upon returning to the ranch, he waved to his few Pokemon, saying, ”You go play by yourselves, I have something to do.”

The Naclstacks obediently ran off to play on their own.

Naoki then turned back into the house, entering the kitchen to prepare the ingredients for this cooking session.

Firstly, the most important was flour, followed by the tools for kneading dough.

He planned to blend these feather powders into the flour like last time, to create buns.

However, it was regrettable that a considerable amount of flying type energy contained in Lugia’s feather powder had dissipated during the grinding process.

The remaining amount...

Naoki held the transparent glass bottle up to his face, gazing at the thin layer of silver-white powder at the bottom.

”Compared to Zapdos’ feather powder, there’s far too little, probably only a quarter?” Naoki thought to himself, regretting this, but it’s unavoidable.

Another issue arose.

Would the small quantity affect the cooking effect?

After a brief contemplation, Naoki decided to test it first.

He began kneading the dough, then mixed the silver-white powder into the flour, pouring in water and starting to knead.

Like touching Zapdos’ feather powder, which gives a tingly feeling.

Upon touching Lugia’s feather powder, Naoki felt a strong breeze circling around his palm, with flying type energy turning into milky white air currents, surging continuously in the container.

The energy sometimes intensified and sometimes softened; when the flour fully absorbed the feather powder, the milky white air currents didn’t disappear, still lingering on the dough, unable to be dispelled.

As if special effects were applied.

Naoki raised his eyebrows with surprise, ”Amazing.”

The dough was kneaded, but it needed some time to ferment.

Naoki properly handled the dough, covering it with cling film, setting it aside for fermentation, which would take about three to four hours.

Naoki wasn’t in a rush, opting to lounge on the couch watching TV while waiting.

The Indeedee siblings stayed like loyal butlers on the side.

Sister Indeedee thoughtfully prepared a cup of hot tea for Naoki.

Naoki took a sip, feeling perfectly cozy.

He looked at the two standing Indeedee, saying to them, ”Don’t just stand there, take a seat and rest a while!”

”Indeedee~”

Sister Indeedee nodded happily, sitting on the sofa close to Naoki, while brother Indeedee sat at the other end.

Meanwhile, in the depths of the ocean.

In a quiet, profound sea region, Lugia, having just returned home ready for some good sleep, suddenly opened its eyes wide.

It sensed that a feather had lost contact with it.

Filled with astonishment and confusion, Lugia’s eyes widened.

Legendary Pokemon like it rarely let feathers fall casually.

Only kind-hearted human trainers would receive its feathers.

If they brought the feather to the deepest cave of the Whirl Islands and sincerely prayed, it would appear and meet them, signifying its acknowledgment of their courage and heart.

Those silver feathers contained its unique energy, which was why, wherever the feather was, it could sense it.

In ancient times long ago, it even promised a few human friends that if they faced danger and needed help, they could call upon it with the Silver Wing.

At that time, it would emerge from the sea to assist.

Yet now...

It lost contact with a Silver Wing, unable to sense the feather’s energy waves anymore.

Lugia was grave.

What has happened to that feather?

At two in the afternoon, the dough had finished fermenting.

Naoki uncovered the cling film atop the dough, forming buns to officially start steaming buns.

Due to the limited key ingredient, this time Naoki barely managed to make six buns.

But he wasn’t certain if these buns would possess the Thunder God’s effect like the Lightning Steamed Bun.

Once the buns at the pot’s bottom were steamed, Naoki finally found the answer to his doubts.

[Storm Steamed Bun (S+): Legendary Cuisine, made from powder of feathers from a legendary Pokemon. It’s said that consuming it allows one to harness storms and weather.

Cooking Effect: Sea God (1/6), upon consumption, gives Pokemon the power of weather control, able to control the weather as freely as the owner of the feather. Flying-type Pokemon exclusive.

Evaluation: Unique in the world. Feed your flying type Pokemon! However, due to some ingredient ratio issues, the cuisine’s original effect cannot be fully realized.]

”Just as I thought,” Naoki murmured.

The Sea God followed by 1/6 suggested Pokemon must eat six buns consecutively to fully realize the effect?

Coincidentally, he just made six buns.

Naoki immediately prepared to try it.

In his ranch, there happens to be a flying type Pokemon.

A vision of Dragonite’s round figure surfaced in Naoki’s mind.

He sent Indeedee to call Dragonite, who was playing outside.
