Chapter 316: Chapter 214: Cyclizar, Little Angel (4k)

League Year 198, August 16, Autumn.

Four days before Cyclizar’s birthday, Naoki started thinking about what kind of birthday gift would be good for it.

This was his first time celebrating a Pokemon’s birthday, so there must be some ceremony.

However, Naoki thought for a long time and couldn’t figure out what kind of gift Cyclizar would like.

According to his understanding of Cyclizar, it didn’t seem to have anything it particularly liked or wanted.

How about making Cyclizar its favorite food?

”No, that’s not right.” Naoki quickly dismissed this idea since giving Cyclizar the food it eats every day doesn’t really count as a birthday gift.

”Then what about the training equipment that helps Pokemon become stronger?”

Naoki carefully recalled, finding that Cyclizar’s pursuit of strength was far less exaggerated than Dragonite’s.

It might like it, but that’s only because the gift comes from him, not because it likes the gift itself.

So, what better choice is there?

Naoki sat under the eaves, listening to the melodious sound of the wind chimes overhead, while his eyes were directed towards Cyclizar playing in the sunlight.

Koraidon lazily lay down nearby, taking a nap with closed eyes.

It seemed to notice that Naoki hadn’t spoken for a while, so it opened its eyes slightly and glanced over, only to see Naoki staring off into the distance.

Koraidon’s gaze followed his line of sight and saw that the past version of itself was tearfully clutching its tail.

A Naclstack stood apologetically nearby, nervously shaking its head, seemingly saying it didn’t do it on purpose.

Upon noticing its ”mech” not moving, the Alcremie, who had been riding on Naclstack’s head, peeked down curiously.

”Ah gasi?” Seeing this scene, Koraidon was somewhat confused.

Naoki began to explain: ”Naclstack accidentally stepped on Cyclizar’s tail, I’ll go have a look.”

Speaking of which, he stood up and walked over.

As Naoki left, Koraidon also stood up, shook itself, and followed.

Alcremie had already jumped off Naclstack and was blowing on Cyclizar’s wound.

The commotion here had caught the attention of several Pokemon, and Glaceon and Butterfree had gathered around.

”Stack...”

Seeing Naoki coming, the Naclstack that had accidentally stepped on Cyclizar’s tail looked at him apologetically.

”Don’t worry, let me see.” Seeing that it was very worried, Naoki first soothed its emotions and then took Cyclizar’s tail from its hand.

The originally slender tail tip was now swollen like a pig’s trotter, and the white skin was slightly flushed.

Naclstack’s weight is over two hundred and thirty pounds, so Cyclizar’s pain is imaginable.

Tears had been forced out of it from the pain.

After a brief examination, Naoki said to his brother Indeedee who had rushed over: ”Help me bring the bandages and medicine from home, just on the cupboard in my bedroom.”

”Indeedee.” Brother Indeedee nodded calmly, glanced at Cyclizar’s tail, and then turned to leave.

Naoki held Cyclizar’s tail, just about to say something to comfort it, when suddenly the weight in his hand lightened.

He was stunned for a moment, then looked down and saw a section of pale Shed Tail lying quietly in his hand.

Naoki was dumbfounded.

And the nearby Alcremie, Butterfree, and other Pokemon were terrified when they saw Cyclizar’s tail had broken, their mouths immediately emitting exaggerated screams.

”Mama!”

”Eevee?!”

”Stack!!!”

Naclstack was nearly scared to death, it really didn’t do it on purpose!

After a brief moment of shock, Naoki looked up at Cyclizar, who seemed to be feeling better.

He tentatively asked: ”How do you feel now?”

”Gao...”

Seeing everyone worried about it, Cyclizar felt a bit embarrassed.

It shook its head, confusedly looking at its missing tipped tail.

Now that the tail was broken, it seemed... suddenly not as painful.

Naoki’s brow twitched.

Could Cyclizar have inadvertently stimulated its potential through the pain and learned Shed Tail?

Shed Tail, a Normal Type move, the effect is to reduce stamina, create a substitute, and return to the Poke Ball, switching with a backup Pokemon.

In games, only Cyclizar and Orthworm can learn this move.

Naoki checked the cross-section of Cyclizar’s Shed Tail and found it wasn’t as bloody as he’d imagined.

He couldn’t help but ask: ”Is this a new move?”

Instinctively, Cyclizar knew this was a move called Shed Tail, so it nodded, somewhat embarrassed: ”Gao...”

Now it couldn’t use it again, only waiting for its tail to grow back before it could use it normally.

Naoki had a rough idea, just as brother Indeedee came jogging over with the medical kit.

Naoki took out the prepared bandage and Super Potion, sprayed a few times on Cyclizar’s Shed Tail, and then tied a bow with the bandage.

”Alright, it’ll be healed very soon.”

The recovery ability of Pokemon is really impressive, and according to Naoki’s understanding, the Shed Tail could grow back in three days.

Upon hearing this, the few Pokemon finally relaxed.

Naclstack lowered its head apologetically.

If it weren’t for it, Cyclizar wouldn’t have had to get hurt.

In response, the kind Cyclizar shook its head, smiling slightly, and indicated it was okay.
