His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2300: Chapter 664: One Year Later (41)_3

Mu Yichen simply got out of bed, walking barefoot to her side and scooped up the still dazed Qin Mu horizontally in his arms.

”What are you doing?”

Qin Mu asked him in confusion, but she was already in his embrace.

”Taking you to shower!”

Mu Yichen said blandly, carrying her to put on slippers over there, then walked to the bathroom.

Qin Mu quietly watched him and asked, ”Didn’t you shower already?”

”I’ll shower with you again!”

Seeing his resolute expression, Qin Mu just stared at him, feeling a sudden pang of sadness in her heart.

Tonight, when Chen Xiaoyi suddenly arrived at the Mu Family, it seemed he was the least happy about it, Qin Mu thought. He surely must have been angered by Feng Fanghua’s actions.

Unconsciously, Qin Mu stopped struggling.

In the bathroom, he turned on the showerhead, removed her clothes, and the two of them were together in the warm water.

Their different skin tones, his exceptionally muscular physique, and Qin Mu’s soft warmth, combined with her graceful lines, when they pressed together harmoniously like that, surprisingly felt seamless.

Qin Mu didn’t know if she was made silly by the misting water or deceived by him; in any case, she seemed to remain unfocused throughout the night, leaving early the next day with the child, taking his car keys and driving away.

——

On the eighth day, Mu Yichen was at work and received a WeChat from Qin Mu, saying she had consulted Tan Yiwen about discussing divorce with his lawyer.

Since that night, Qin Mu has been living with the child at the Qin Family.

It’s not that she doesn’t have other places to stay, just, everything else seems related to him, except the Qin Family, which feels like it doesn’t belong to them jointly.

Mu Yichen was actually awake that morning when she got up, looking hurried and worried, as if she had some urgent matter troubling her, making her frown so tightly. He guessed she wanted a divorce, yet he kept enticing her to bed.

The child staying with Qin Mu was also calm. After the sixth day, Qin Mingzhu returned with her child, and the sisters occasionally took the kids out for casual strolls, soon having explored all of Rongcheng.

One day they didn’t go out, Huanhuan and Chengcheng played in the yard with their younger brother, Mu Qingxin watched the harmonious trio outside and couldn’t help but ask a question she’d wanted to for days.

”Sis! The civil affairs bureau is open, your lawyer seems a bit ineffective, doesn’t he?”

Qin Mu was quietly reading a book, hearing this, she lifted her sharp gaze towards Qin Mingzhu.

Qin Mingzhu lazily rested her hands on the sofa back, looking at Qin Mu with the same bored expression.

Qin Mu lowered her eyes again, thinking Tan Yiwen indeed seemed inactive, and her brows furrowed involuntarily.

”Could it be that your brother-in-law bribed him? Oh, I mean Mr. Mu!”

Qin Mingzhu quickly corrected herself, fearing Qin Mu would be unhappy if she kept calling Mu Yichen brother-in-law.

”Tan Yiwen certainly wouldn’t be bribed.”

Qin Mu was still confident about that, but the problem was being resolved too slowly. Mr. Mu, could he have really pulled some tricks?

Qin Mu thought about it, sighed irritably, picked up the phone to find Tan Yiwen’s number, dialed it, and then stood up to walk outside.

Qin Mingzhu turned to watch her walk away with her head down, and couldn’t help but sigh too, murmuring, ”How can you possibly outsmart my wily brother-in-law!”

”I’ve been to see Mr. Mu’s lawyer, but now... there are some documents I haven’t read yet.”

Tan Yiwen was in his office, also stressed, with many documents on his desk from Mu Yichen.

Qin Mu listening felt puzzled, ”Haven’t read them yet?”

”Yes! If you don’t believe it, you can come to my office and see for yourself.”

Tan Yiwen rubbed his forehead, thinking, Mr. Mu and Mrs. Mu divorcing, probably the most troublesome divorce case under the sun.

Who would dare take it?

No wonder friends would say he’s courting death.

Qin Mu actually went to his office because she really couldn’t understand what documents Tan Yiwen was referring to.

After she reviewed several documents in his office, she angrily tossed them lightly on the desk, standing nearby, with one hand supporting her elbow, the other pinching the bridge of her nose, irritated.

”Maybe Mr. Mu doesn’t want to divorce at all!”

Tan Yiwen thought about it and kindly reminded her.

Qin Mu sighed helplessly, ”I know!”

But to stir up so many documents for Tan Yiwen, it’s also impressive he thought of that.

Looking at all the terms and clauses in these documents, Qin Mu tilted her head down, picked out several more, casually glanced at them and set them aside. After looking at over ten documents, she suddenly laughed, ”Will I become a real rich woman after the divorce?”
