His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2273: Chapter 659: The Biggest Assist: Those Two

The men in the AM private room clapped and cheered, watching Jing Feng and Jiang Zhiyuan drink a full glass of red wine mixed with wasabi.

”Jixiang Restaurant!”

Five minutes later, Qin Mu, who saw the WeChat message, replied to him.

——

After lunch, Qin Mu and her friends were reluctant to part ways, a group of women went shopping and eating.

After four in the afternoon, Feng Fanghua couldn’t stay in the room and wanted to call Qin Mu, but Mu Zihao stopped her: ”I beg you, let’s not get involved in this matter anymore!”

Feng Fanghua looked into Mu Zihao’s eyes, knowing he was serious, but she couldn’t let go of her resentment and snapped: ”Look at this New Year we’ve had, Yichen doesn’t even want this family anymore.”

”It’s not the first time he’s turned his back on the family, but compared to the coldness last year, can you really say you weren’t satisfied with last night’s New Year celebration?”

Mu Zihao cautiously asked her, afraid that pressing the issue would upset her.

”What more could I possibly want? But that girl Qin Mu, the more I look at her, the more I dislike her.”

Feng Fanghua was still upset, she didn’t care whether Qin Mu was around for the New Year.

”Things will get better, okay? Just hold on a little longer.”

”Qin Mu came back to divorce your son, do you really think they could...?”

”No matter the outcome, just bear with it for now, the civil affairs office will be open soon.”

Mu Zihao reminded.

Feng Fanghua calmed down a bit at this, thinking she could endure for a few more days to see what else those two would come up with, since Qin Mu seemed determined to divorce.

But when she thought about how Qin Mu was once determined to return to Paris but got tricked into coming back by her son, she felt uneasy. How could Qin Mu outsmart her precious son?

Feng Fanghua worried that Mu Yichen might pull another trick and couldn’t help asking her husband: ”Did Yichen really hire a lawyer?”

Mu Zihao...

”How would I know?”

”No way, I have to call the lawyer!”

Feng Fanghua pondered for a moment, feeling very anxious.

”Fanghua! Just listen to me for once, okay? Be patient and wait until the civil affairs office is open.”

Mu Zihao, half laughing and crying, had no choice but to hug his wife, gently reminding her.

Feng Fanghua couldn’t resist him like this, so she could only go along with him.

That night, Mu Yichen waited for Qin Mu at JY, and when Qin Mu pushed the door open, she saw him sitting in the rest area, with one hand on the sofa and the other holding a not-so-large cup, his eyes fixed straight on her.

”What are you doing here?”

Qin Mu instinctively asked, feeling flustered, her eyes naturally avoiding him.

Mu Yichen chuckled softly: ”If I weren’t here, how could I wait for you?”

Qin Mu...

If it weren’t for her at noon, he wouldn’t have asked Jing Feng and Jiang Zhiyuan to suffer like that, but even after they drank that deadly cup, he still felt uneasy. He just wanted her to attend his friend’s gathering, why was she so resistant? After all, weren’t they people she had known for many years?

But she just had to go to Jixiang Restaurant with that group of women.

Qin Mu seemed to sense something and instinctively said to him: ”Going to Jixiang Restaurant at noon was your sister’s suggestion.”

Mu Yichen’s chest tightened immediately, and his brow furrowed.

Qin Mu looked at him with an expression of so don’t blame me. She felt a bit panicked as she walked over to sit down.

”Today our shop closes early, how much longer are you going to sit here?”

Qin Mu asked Mu Yichen again as she watched the store staff bid farewell to a customer, with only a few inside.

”Now that the person I’m waiting for has returned, of course, it’s time to leave!”

Mu Yichen put down his teacup, grabbed his phone, and stood up.

Qin Mu sighed with relief, stood up as well, and said to the staff who were watching her: ”Then we’ll leave first, just close up by six.”

”Okay, sure!”

The staff agreed, then opened the door to see them off.

Mu Yichen walked out first without looking sideways, Qin Mu followed with her bag, and the staff closed the door. The two stood outside, looking at the wide road, neither wanting to speak first.

”Let’s have dinner at my parents’ first, then return to the apartment.”

Same as last night?

Qin Mu felt awkward, and as he started walking, she quickly caught up: ”Mu Yichen, tonight, I’m not going over!”

Mu Yichen stopped, turned to look at her, his eyes quite stingy.

”Not going? Grandpa called specifically to say you must come along, and you say no?”

Mu Yichen’s voice was cold, questioning her decision.

Qin Mu...

He wasn’t her grandpa anyway, but the situation now made it feel as if he were her biological grandpa.
