His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2282: Chapter 660: One Year Later (37)_5

Mu Yichen suddenly lowered his head too, as if feeling a bit disappointed.

Qin Mu thought to herself that she hadn’t eaten much in the morning, was he angry about this?

But they were just talking about divorce; why did he suddenly change the topic, and did it in such a way that left her speechless?

Later, the two of them sat on the sofa, and she didn’t even put down the bag on her shoulder.

”If you really don’t want a divorce, I’m planning to return to Paris in a few days!”

Qin Mu said to him with her head down, she’d thought about it last night.

”Go back for what? To find your admirer?”

Mu Yichen’s eyes looked at the magazine, but his words were harsh.

Qin Mu listened to his words and unconsciously let out a laugh: ”Do you think I should have something with him?”

”What do I think? I think you should only have something with me, but will you listen to me?”

Mu Yichen glanced at her, his gaze rather sharp.

”Haven’t we always had something? Even if there’s no longer any affection as husband and wife, there’s still the bond from childhood and Chengcheng and Huanhuan, those two siblings.”

He asked gently, and Qin Mu responded in kind.

The two talked as if chatting idly, but neither was willing to concede to the other, both pretending to keep it low-key.

”You’ve thought it through!”

Mu Yichen said, putting down the magazine suddenly, then stood up.

Qin Mu looked up at him: ”Where are you going?”

”The supermarket! Together!”

After Mu Yichen said that, he went upstairs, leaving Qin Mu still dumbfounded there.

When he came downstairs and saw her still sitting on the sofa motionless, he walked over: ”What’s wrong? You’re about to leave, and you’re not even willing to go to the supermarket with me?”

Qin Mu...

Didn’t know what he was really up to, what was so problematic about going to a supermarket?

But why was he doing this?

On the way to the supermarket, the car was quiet, apart from the waves of heat, you felt nothing, the oxygen seemed a bit lacking.

Upon reaching the supermarket entrance, Mu Yichen found a spot and parked the car, then both got out.

Mu Yichen was wearing the coat she made for him the year before last, Qin Mu following quietly behind observed that the coat still fit perfectly, except for the cuff button, which seemed to have come loose.

Qin Mu caught up, reflexively grabbing his hand, no, his wrist, checking the button on his cuff.

Sure enough, the thread had come loose.

Mu Yichen stopped, stood facing her, watched her soft fingertips gently rub the loose thread, then pressed the knotted thread beneath the button.

”There should be a sewing kit in the apartment, I’ll fix it properly when we get back.”

Qin Mu looked at the button’s underside, couldn’t see any bad traces, then comfortably explained to him.

Mu Yichen said nothing, just quietly watching her.

Qin Mu found it too quiet, the cold wind brushing her side face, she looked up at him, their eyes met, using her eyes to ask what was on his mind.

”If it were someone else’s button that came loose, would you be so concerned?”

Mu Yichen softly asked her.

”What does someone else’s loose button have to do with me?”

Qin Mu let out a soft laugh, thinking his question was problematic.

Mu Yichen didn’t speak again.

Qin Mu suddenly felt she maybe shouldn’t have spoken like that, turned her face away looking into the distance, the wind cooling her face to keep her calm.

Mu Yichen laughed, then raised a hand to hold hers, Qin Mu only felt her fingers wrapped around, his hand warm enveloping hers, instinctively wanting to pull away, but in the cold wind, as soon as he gripped her hand tightly, she lost the strength to fight.

At that moment, suddenly a group of reporters with cameras and phones rushed over from behind a car, taking pictures of them crazily.

”Mr. Mu, now that you and Mrs. Mu are doing such everyday couple things like shopping together, have you reconciled?”

”Rumor has it that Mrs. Mu and Mr. Mu haven’t gone to the civil affairs bureau for divorce proceedings, could you please, both of you, give those who care about you a truthful answer? We beg of you two!”
