His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2265: Chapter 657: One Year Later (34) President Mu Is a Lone Wolf (4)

Qin Mu was afraid he would press down on her again, so she immediately held onto his arm to stop him from moving, but Mu Yichen chuckled softly in her ear: ”Silly, this is the position I want.”

Qin Mu...

On days when she didn’t have to work, she could just squander time like this every day, right?

However, it was still New Year’s Eve, and in the apartment’s living room, Mu Qingxin and Jiang Yan sat in their family’s living room, watching the stubborn Mu Yichen smoke without saying half a word to them, only addressing the woman who came from the kitchen with cleaned fruit.

Qin Mu knew what Mu Qingxin meant, and when she sat down, she whispered: ”I’ve already told him!”

”Was Mom’s intention only for you to tell him? Brother, aren’t you usually the one who listens to Qin Mu the most? If you don’t go back tonight, how can our family have a good New Year?”

Mu Qingxin reproached Qin Mu with a sentence and then turned to look at Mu Yichen while asking him.

Mu Yichen remained completely unmoved.

Jiang Yan kept his head down, drinking tea, also not daring to say half a word more to his brother-in-law, considering he still needed a few more years of effort to catch up with Mu Yichen.

Mu Qingxin secretly pinched Jiang Yan’s leg hard. Jiang Yan was hurt so much he finally lifted his eyes a bit, but still didn’t know what to do while looking at the two sitting opposite.

”How about we go back together?”

Jiang Yan thought for a while and proposed.

Qin Mu looked up, confusedly staring at him—she should go too?

”I’m not going!”

Qin Mu instantly refused.

Thinking that being reproached or glared at at other times is fine, but it’s the New Year, and she can be carefree alone.

”You’re not going? You want to spend New Year’s alone here?”

Mu Qingxin immediately stared at her unhappily, asking.

”I can go back to the Qin Family tonight, Mingzhu and Wang Huanyu have returned to Beijing, and I can help them look after the house; I’ll be staying there for the next few days.”

Qin Mu took the opportunity to say this, as she had actually wanted to tell Mu Yichen for a while but hadn’t found the right opportunity to voice it. This time seemed appropriate.

Mu Qingxin...

Jiang Yan was still holding the tea cup, seemingly drinking, but it didn’t seem to lessen.

Mu Yichen finally made some movement, looking at Qin Mu with a faint expression.

Qin Mu turned her head to look at him: ”I spoke with Mingzhu yesterday, but didn’t find the chance to tell you. You should hurry and go back with the couple.”

Mu Yichen sneered and suddenly stood up.

Mu Qingxin couldn’t manage where Qin Mu went, she looked at her brother getting up and excitedly stood up too: ”Brother, let’s go home!”

”Go to the Qin Family!”

Mu Yichen responded coldly.

Mu Qingxin...

Jiang Yan sighed helplessly: ”Actually it’s just one night, why not make do for the evening, and afterward you two handle the rest?”

”Yeah! If it doesn’t work out, you could just go have dinner and come back. Qin Mu, even if it’s for the sake of our Mu Family, please put in a bit extra effort, go have dinner with my brother at home. At most, my mom might say a few unpleasant words, but we’ll all help you, and won’t let my mom make things too difficult.”

Mu Qingxin sat next to Qin Mu and desperately shook her arms.

Qin Mu felt a terrible headache: ”Your mom sees me, and the New Year’s spirit is ruined!”

”Nonsense! She feels your animosity towards my brother, that’s all. She doesn’t care how you treat her.”

”Cough, cough!”

As soon as Mu Qingxin finished speaking, Jiang Yan couldn’t help but start coughing.

Jiang Yan wondered when his foolish wife would grow up and become sensible, how she dared to blurt out such things.

But Mu Yichen had already gone upstairs to change clothes.

The phone on the coffee table rang, and all three turned to look at her phone screen. Seeing it was the Mu Family patriarch’s number, everyone became a bit excited.

Qin Mu answered the phone: ”Hello, Grandpa!”

”Mumu, come home for New Year!”

The patriarch said gently.

For some unknown reason, Qin Mu felt her eyes suddenly wet, heavy and particularly uncomfortable, as if she would cry if she blinked.

”Do I need Grandpa to come and pick you up, hmm?”

The patriarch asked her kindly over the phone.

Qin Mu bit her lip hard, but tears still streamed down her face in an instant.

They still went to the Mu Family; Mu Qingxin felt she accomplished the task her mother had given her by bringing her brother back. But Feng Fanghua wasn’t happy seeing Qin Mu, although she didn’t say anything else.

Huanhuan, Chengcheng, and Zifeng were chasing one another in the house. Seeing them return, they excitedly ran over.

”Mom!”

”Mom!”
