His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2284: Chapter 661: It’s Not the First Time Being Deceived (2)

Qin Mu pushed his arm, her face showing a look of grievance.

Mu Yichen didn’t bother her, he just kept staring at her without looking away.

Qin Mu took a deep breath, her long eyelashes fluttered slightly, then seriously looked at him: ”I have something to tell you too.”

”Hmm! Go ahead!”

Mu Yichen rested his elbows lightly on the edge of the table, a posture of listening intently.

He looked incredibly handsome, and this obedient appearance stirred something in her heart, so she simply looked away, raising her gaze to the table where the dishes she had eaten were scattered.

”I want to sell all the houses you bought for me in the city, as well as the land you gave me, and the café.”

Her small mouth babbled on, showing she was determined.

Mu Yichen smiled slightly: ”Do as you please!”

”Also, don’t think that just because you have power and influence, I lack confidence in fighting you in court. I’ve made up my mind now, I’m going to court. Chengcheng and Huanhuan are grown up; they have the right to choose whether to live with their father or mother.”

Qin Mu spoke faster and became more intense, but felt quite relieved.

”Hmm! Is there anything else?”

Mu Yichen still agreed so calmly, even asking if there was more.

Qin Mu glanced at him in surprise, thinking she understood him. She then disdainfully looked away, continuing to stare at the leftovers on the plate: ”Also, I don’t care anymore if your family is happy or not. I’m calling the lawyer right now to handle the divorce. I’m done dragging this on, not even for a minute more.”

Mu Yichen saw her getting more and more agitated and handed her the water glass: ”Drink some water first.”

Qin Mu lowered her eyes, looking at the glass of water, the more she looked, the angrier she got, then turned and glared at Mu Yichen: ”Did you understand what I said or not?”

”You planning on telling me again?”

Mu Yichen asked softly.

Qin Mu slammed her hands on the table: ”I know you understood, I’m calling now!”

Mu Yichen gently placed the water glass down, smiled helplessly as she walked away.

Qin Mu walked out but suddenly turned back, puzzled by his sudden calm demeanor.

Shouldn’t he be scowling and lecturing her?

He can do whatever he wants; she’s too tired to figure out his thoughts.

Mu Yichen was seated in the dining room without moving, listening to Qin Mu in the living room calling the lawyer.

”Come back soon, bye!”

Qin Mu said in the end, having calmed down, her mind unsure if she felt relaxed or something else.

If necessary, she planned to hold a press conference where she’d tell those reporters herself that she, Qin Mu, was indeed divorcing Mu Yichen.

After calling, Qin Mu stood at the window thinking for a moment, then turned to Mu Yichen, who stood behind her with two glasses of water.

She remembered picking those glasses up at the supermarket one year; all she recalled was telling him she liked transparent glasses, that they looked visibly clean and comforting.

Looking back now, she thought how naive she was; nowadays, she didn’t care what kind of glass she used.

Qin Mu took a deep breath, almost thinking about his good side again, but thankfully she remained rational.

”You must be thirsty after saying so much!”

Mu Yichen asked her, his footsteps approaching.

Qin Mu stood still by the window; when he got close, she lifted her eyelashes slightly, but before she could see him clearly, she lowered her eyebrows again, reaching out for one of his water glasses: ”Thanks!”

She pretended to be casual.

”I drank from that one!”

His appealing, voice made her want to cringe.

Qin Mu almost choked, feeling like his pleasantly attractive voice could kill.

”Never mind! I have used your glass before!”

Steady, steady, steady, after telling herself three times, she resisted the urge to smash it, drank the water.

Mu Yichen laughed behind her, she knew it.

”Looks like Tan Yiwen has become your personal lawyer!”

Mu Yichen said casually as she sat on the sofa, standing beside her, holding a water glass, a hand in his trousers’ pocket.

”I can’t compare to Mu, who has top lawyers. But Tan Yiwen is good enough; at least I don’t worry about being schemed against.”

Qin Mu told him indifferently.

Nowadays, this was quite common, with many lawyers suddenly betraying their clients in court.
