His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2301: Chapter 664: One Year Later (41)_4

”Yeah! I probably won’t have to work for the rest of my life. Even if I squander money all day long, it’ll still be fine.”

Tan Yiwen also let out a helpless laugh.

Qin Mu raised her eyebrows slightly after hearing that. ”Then just wait and see.”

Tan Yiwen...

After Qin Mu came out of his office, she was stopped by the girls at the front desk asking for her autograph. Seeing how nervous they were, Qin Mu figured they probably hadn’t meant to disturb her, so she took their pen and signed for them. After saying goodbye, she went out, got in the car, and somehow the car ended up driving to the building where Mu Yichen’s office was.

When Zhao Huai came back from running errands outside, he happened to see Qin Mu’s car parked in their lot. He subconsciously took a few more glances and found Qin Mu sitting inside, staring blankly at the front of their building. He didn’t go up to bother her, instead he immediately ran inside and went straight to the top floor.

Mu Yichen had just finished talking business with Xi Meng when Zhao Huai barged straight in. ”President Mu, huge news: Qin Mu is downstairs at our office building.”

Mu Yichen instinctively lifted his eyes to look at him, and even Xi Meng glanced over at him in confusion.

”You two don’t believe me?”

Seeing their expressions, Zhao Huai slapped his hands together and then pointed out the window. ”If you don’t believe me, go down and see for yourselves!”

”Why are you so excited just because Qin Mu’s here? She’s downstairs? Why isn’t she coming up?”

Xi Meng chuckled and asked Zhao Huai.

Zhao Huai...

At this moment, Mu Yichen had already lowered his gaze and, without any change in expression, gone back to work.

He’d made things difficult for her lawyer, so now she wanted to come make things difficult for him too?

Mu Yichen thought about how she’d gotten up early that day and left with the kids. In that entire house, there was only his car, and she’d used it quite happily.

And after leaving, she had even kindly sent him a WeChat message. The content was: I’m borrowing the car. Before we sign the divorce papers, the kids will be with me for a while.

Hmph!

This time she really was decisive and efficient, getting ahead of him in everything.

Mu Yichen received another WeChat from her, but he ignored it.

”How would I know why she’s not coming up? I saw her sitting in the car zoning out while staring at our building. She’s not planning to blow up our office tower, is she?”

Zhao Huai frowned, suddenly recalling a movie where a woman, out of hatred for her husband’s cheating, committed some terrifying act and blew up his entire office building.

”You’ve watched too many horror movies, haven’t you? President Mu, should I go down and take a look?”

Xi Meng sighed helplessly. After asking Zhao Huai, she turned to seek instructions from Mu Yichen, who was already working.

”No need.”

Mu Yichen replied faintly.

”Then I’ll go back to work.”

Hearing him say that, Xi Meng didn’t feel she needed to stay any longer and went out the door.

A few minutes later, Zhao Huai also came out of the office and stopped in front of Xi Meng’s desk. ”From what Xiaomei said, Qin Mu’s moved back to live with the Qin Family. Things are looking bad.”

Xi Meng...

Qin Mu was that determined to get a divorce?

”Did Xiaomei tell you anything else?”

”Qin Mu’s not the chatty type. This was already the most important bit out of the few words she said.”

Zhao Huai sighed and then explained it to Xi Meng very earnestly.

”No wonder President Mu’s been buried in work these past few days.”

Xi Meng muttered, thinking that it was just after the New Year and Mu Yichen was already so eager to get back to the office. So it turned out the woman at home had run away.

”What about their kids?”

Thinking of those two little ones, Xi Meng looked up at Zhao Huai and asked.

”They’re with Qin Mu!”

Zhao Huai answered, then added with a grin, ”This time Brother Chen is being generous, daring to let Qin Mu take the kids.”

”All your Brother Chen wants is for Qin Mu to stay in the city. As long as she’s in Rongcheng, isn’t it fine for her to take the kids wherever she wants?”

Xi Meng also smiled, thinking that as long as Qin Mu didn’t go back to Paris, Mu Yichen would probably go along with whatever she wanted.

”True! I’ll get back to work then.”

Zhao Huai nodded, greeted her, and left.

After thinking it over, Xi Meng also got back to work.

As for Qin Mu, she stayed downstairs for half an hour, then drove off into the city again.

That evening, Lun Yun arranged to have dinner with Qin Mu at AM. Qin Mu went alone. When Lun Yun heard that she often sat behind the bamboo screen there, she specially booked that spot under Qin Mu’s name and arrived half an hour early to wait.

After Qin Mu was led over and saw Lun Yun happily waving at her, she hurried over and sat down. ”You’re pretty early.”

”Waiting for a big star, of course I have to be early.”

Lun Yun joked.

Qin Mu smiled, set her bag and coat aside, and when the waiter brought over the menu, Qin Mu said lightly, ”Let Miss Lun order.”
