His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2287: Chapter 661: It’s Not the First Time Being Deceived (5)

In the evening, Qin Mu was playing chess with Huanhuan when her phone buzzed. Chengcheng glanced at it, picked it up, and walked over to Qin Mu: ”It seems like it’s Aunt Hao!”

Qin Mu took a look, then opened her phone. It was from Doctor Hao: ”If you’re really planning to sell the property, I suggest consulting that real estate mogul in your family. According to Jing Feng, now is not the ideal time to sell a house.”

After reading the message, Qin Mu’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, she put down her phone and continued focusing on the chessboard.

Truthfully, it was just a moment of frustration. Selling those properties for what? Was she too idle and looking for things to occupy her time?

Paris had already called her to come back for a commercial shoot. Qin Mu thought, perhaps she could take the kids to Paris before school started, but she wasn’t sure if she could get past Mu Yichen with that plan.

These days, as long as he agreed, she didn’t mind what the elders thought.

”Mom, do you like any other guy besides Dad?”

Huanhuan held a knight, resting her chin on her hand, pondering over the chessboard with a heavy heart.

”Hmm? Your brother, maybe?”

Qin Mu lifted her eyes, looking at Huanhuan in confusion, then glanced aside at Mu Chengyang, who was kneeling beside them, watching the game.

Huanhuan turned her eyes, giving her brother a slightly disdainful glance, then sighed: ”Mom, I mean someone around Dad’s age, someone you’re dating.”

Qin Mu...

”I haven’t, are you introducing someone to Mom?”

Qin Mu wasn’t sure why Huanhuan suddenly asked this, but knowing the people Huanhuan met daily, she joked about it.

Huanhuan raised her eyes, a little annoyed, giving her mother a glance: ”Where in the world is there a man more handsome than Dad, and Dad spoils us the most.”

Not sure when it started, but this girl even spoke with a touch of philosophy.

”Focus on the game, or you’ll lose again.”

Qin Mu didn’t discuss further, after all, she was still just a child.

Huanhuan felt she had conveyed her meaning, which her mom surely understood, so she focused on the game.

Chengcheng rested her cheeks in her palms, looking back and forth between them, not understanding the mother-daughter look.

In the glossy surface, the image of the three mothers and daughters playing chess appeared slightly blurred, yet undeniably warm.

During dinner, Mu Yichen suddenly asked if she had found a buyer or if she needed help, Qin Mu glanced up and smiled at him: ”Sure!”

Mu Yichen fixed his gaze on her for two seconds, then smiled slightly too, happily agreeing to help her.

Yet in the next moment, Qin Mu bowed her head again, focusing on dining with the kids, while Mu Yichen’s deep black eyes watched her, his expression an intriguing blend of deep understanding and subtle amusement, as if he’d already seen through her mind.

After dinner, Huanhuan and Chengcheng went upstairs to wash up. The two of them sat on the couch watching the news. Yes, watching the news is currently the most calming activity.

”I want to return to Paris on the sixth, just for an ad shoot. It’s only a two or three-day trip.”

Qin Mu suddenly brought it up, adding a bit of warmth to the otherwise cold space.

Mu Yichen calmly turned his eyes: ”And then?”

”I want to take the siblings along. We’d come back before their school starts.”

Qin Mu added.

Mu Yichen didn’t reply, just continued to focus on the TV.

But Qin Mu was staring at him intently, waiting for his response.

”Okay!”

A minute later, Mu Yichen suddenly responded.

Qin Mu felt a bit overjoyed in her heart but only slightly parted her lips in response, saying nothing more, simply sitting quietly beside him, accompanying him in watching TV.

After ten, the siblings were standing on the stairs looking downstairs at their parents sitting on the same couch, but each was sitting so independently while watching TV, then they exchanged glances.

”Sigh! What are they doing?”

”Watching TV!”

Huanhuan lay on the banister, chin resting on the rail, her gaze a bit dazed. She couldn’t understand what it meant for her parents to sit like that. Suddenly, she thought of going downstairs to call them to kiss, hug, and lift them high. In an instant, her big inquisitive eyes looked down at her brother.
