His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2235: Chapter 651: One Year Later (28) Stiff Neck_3

The siblings then glanced at Qin Mu again, and after she nodded, they were led away by the nanny.

Qin Mu sat upright beside them, more cautious than before.

Feng Fanghua immediately discarded her pleasant expression, feeling irritated just looking at Qin Mu. Worried about her grandchildren’s happiness, her tone lacked the sharpness of last night’s phone call, but her intention and expression remained cold and indifferent.

”When did I call you last time to come back and divorce Yichen?”

Feng Fanghua asked her blandly.

”It’s been a while!”

Qin Mu lowered her head, feeling a bit apologetic.

”It’s been a while? You know it’s been a while? Why choose to come back now, during China’s biggest holiday season, instead of earlier or later? Are you genuinely here to divorce, or is there another agenda?”

Feng Fanghua started to get argumentative after speaking a few sentences.

Listening to her words, Qin Mu felt unhappy, but when she looked up at her, she was very restrained.

”Mom, I didn’t intentionally come back now, just I’m in Rongcheng now, and I want to resolve this matter quickly, so you’re not bothered. But—”

Qin Mu was slightly emotional; she wasn’t completely mild-tempered, but she didn’t dare act rashly.

”But what?”

Feng Fanghua saw her hold back repeatedly and curiously asked.

”But divorce may not be so easy.”

Qin Mu relayed Mu Yichen’s words to her.

”What do you mean by that?”

Feng Fanghua’s voice instantly rose, but remembering the kids were still outside talking to Qin Mu, she lowered her voice again, but her eyes were visibly angry.

”I mean nothing else; I will divorce Mu Yichen quickly and won’t drag him down. You can be assured of that!”

Qin Mu seriously explained to her, just hoping for some more time.

Feng Fanghua sneered, thinking you probably don’t know what Mu Yichen is thinking, right?

Initially, Feng Fanghua thought Qin Mu planned to threaten the Mu Family for something. Though technically, since she bore them two children, the Mu Family giving her something wouldn’t be unreasonable. But she didn’t want Qin Mu to have it too easy. Suddenly thinking of her precious son, Feng Fanghua lacked the strength to berate Qin Mu.

Qin Mu assured her but how could she be assured?

Such a good girl as Chen Xiaoyi, endured so much for her son, even voluntarily learning to cook, but her son told her he hadn’t divorced yet so couldn’t give another woman his thirty years. Feng Fanghua thought and felt pathetic; she looked at Qin Mu with ultimate disappointment.

”Maybe you shouldn’t have come back, and I shouldn’t have made that call.”

Saying this, Feng Fanghua had given up on something; Qin Mu listened, somewhat bewildered, cautiously observing Feng Fanghua again.

”Did Yichen ask you to stay for the New Year?”

Feng Fanghua asked her again.

Qin Mu felt Feng Fanghua bypassed certain topics, nodded, ”He did!”

”And you? Do you want to stay and spend the New Year with him?”

Feng Fanghua asked coldly again, seemingly seeing through her.

”I certainly want to!”

Qin Mu answered her sincerely.

”You certainly want to! Of course, you do. Leaving was probably a rash decision back then, now thinking about it, you must have regretted it already, right?”

Feng Fanghua sneered, though not loudly.

”I’ve no regrets, no regrets in proposing a divorce! But no mother doesn’t want to spend the holidays with her children.”

Qin Mu confidently retorted.

She gave up the occasional warmth from Mu Yichen, even though he was a pillar for her, a habit, occupied most of her heart space, but she still gave up.

”Speaking as if you are such a great mother, yet you left the kids behind, didn’t you?”

Feng Fanghua mocked further.

Qin Mu’s complexion turned poor, ”Mom, you...”

”Enough! I can’t even say a couple of words to you?”

Feng Fanghua sensed what she wanted to say and immediately stopped her.

Qin Mu closed her mouth then.

”What else did Yichen say to you?”

Feng Fanghua thought for a moment then asked.

Qin Mu was truly displeased now, feeling like Feng Fanghua was interrogating her like a suspect.

”He said to process the divorce papers after the New Year!”

Qin Mu picked words she wanted to hear and said them.

Feng Fanghua chuckled again, this time really scoffing.

”What do you think of Chen Xiaoyi?”

Feng Fanghua shifted, slightly moved her eyes, then seriously looked at Qin Mu asking her opinion on Chen Xiaoyi.
