His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2220: Chapter 646: A Year Later (23) Failed Gift Delivery_3

Qin Mu thought, since things have come to this, let’s end it sooner rather than later.

She spoke clearly, but there was no sound from the other side for a full minute.

Afterwards, she felt things had quieted down inside, and heard the sound of a door closing.

”What did you say at the cocktail party just now?”

He suddenly asked again.

Qin Mu felt as if someone had stabbed a knife into her heart, she almost spat out blood.

Luckily, he wasn’t in front of her, unable to see her face turn alternately red and white with anger.

”I asked when you would have time, I’ll go back...”

”I’m going on a business trip tomorrow, will be back in about a month.”

”Business trip? A month?”

His voice was steady and unhurried, very composed.

Qin Mu only found it absurd upon hearing.

Absurd not because he’s going on a trip, but because it’s for a month.

In all the years they’ve been together, he rarely went on trips for so long, it’s like an astronomical figure.

Moreover, in another month it will be New Year, when the Civil Affairs Bureau is on holiday, how will they get a divorce?

Find connections?

”Then you tell me exactly which day you’ll return, contact me?”

Qin Mu thought over and over, restrained herself again and again, and could only patiently negotiate with him like this.

”Okay!”

Mu Yichen replied to her lightly.

Qin Mu felt relieved after hearing, looked at the boxes in front of her before hanging up the phone: ”Transporting my clothes and such from Rongcheng must have cost quite a bit too, right?”

”What do you mean?”

Mu Yichen asked in a deep questioning tone.

”Don’t tell me you’re not the one who sent them, who else would do such a thing besides you? There are so many houses over there, can’t you bear to send them elsewhere? Moreover, these clothes are outdated, how am I supposed to deal with them when you send them back?”

The more Qin Mu spoke, the angrier she became, maybe it was also after receiving Feng Fanghua’s call that the fire inside her had nowhere to go, and finally found a place to vent after calling him.

”Are you saying all the clothes at home were sent to Paris?”

Mu Yichen asked her very seriously.

Qin Mu’s heart screamed ’oh no’, maybe it really wasn’t him, it was Feng Fanghua.

”I, Mu Yichen, just pretend I didn’t say anything, if I made you angry just now I apologize, bye.”

Qin Mu’s mind was in turmoil, afraid to create a rift between him and his mother, quickly hung up the phone.

Yet her heart was beating nervously, always having a bad premonition.

And Mu Yichen stood alone at a window in a private room, looking at the familiar night view outside, looking deeply furrowed.

He thought all those clothes and such were thrown away, but actually they were sent to Paris.

Not sure if it’s because the private room itself was quiet, or his heart was sinking heavily at the moment, thinking of his crying daughter, of volatile Madam Feng, he suddenly didn’t want it to be like this anymore.

The door was pushed open from the outside, as he was angry at the time, hearing the noise, his eyes shot coldly like a winter blade towards the doorway.

That person was startled, immediately popped out.

And Mu Yichen also left the hotel soon after.

Actually he heard it the first time, it’s just he didn’t want to hear it.

Just wanted her to feel it more as well.

He returned home after nine o’clock, Feng Fanghua, Mu Zihao, and the old man were all still in the living room, only the two little ones had already gone to bed.

Everyone was a bit surprised to see him return early.

”Didn’t you go to the cocktail party with Xiaoyi? Why did you come back alone?”

Feng Fanghua asked him curiously, her eyes continuously assessing his expression.

Mu Zihao and the old man also took a look at this family treasure, Mu Yichen smiled lightly, his rebellious gaze at his mother: ”If I didn’t come back alone, should I have brought her back?”

Feng Fanghua was stunned because she saw resistance and... hostility in her son’s eyes.

”Speak properly to your mom!”

Mu Zihao reminded him, to avoid emphasizing the big issues.

”Tomorrow, I’ll move out with the siblings, just letting you know.”

Mu Yichen looked at them, threw down the words, then got up to leave.

”Stop right there!”

Feng Fanghua was angry, slammed the remote control heavily, her gaze turned sharp too.

Mu Yichen paused, turned to look at her: ”Do you have anything else?”

”Stop pretending with me here, what’s going on with you?”

Feng Fanghua’s words took a sharp turn; she was really angry, she did so much for this son, even her granddaughter ignored her, but her precious son has this attitude, how can she take it?

”You two talk, but what time is it? Do you want to wake the kids?”

Mu Zihao noticed the situation was off, quickly reminded.

”Talk? Do you think he’ll speak properly with me? I’ve worried about him for half my life, look how he treats me now? Leaving Chen Xiaoyi alone at the hotel is one thing, but then saying he wants to move out? Who said to me that he’ll stay here forever and let us enjoy life?”

Feng Fanghua thought, I haven’t enjoyed the good life, only worries were left to me.

”Then you also think why I moved back in the first place, who let me move back, and who let you enjoy a few years of having a full house of children and grandchildren.”

Mu Yichen also suppressed something, but with Feng Fanghua’s aggressive attitude, naturally he doesn’t want to take it anymore.

”You’re blaming me? I made you divorce that woman? I made her not even go home, instead go to Paris?”

Feng Fanghua knew what Mu Yichen was angry about, though didn’t understand why he suddenly said he wanted to move, thus she spoke directly.

”I overstepped, I admit defeat, but moving back to the Mu Family old house, I regret to this day.”

When Mu Yichen spoke these words, his gaze already rejected anyone from getting close.

They are family, yet indeed something stirred up troubles among them.

”Did Qin Mu call you? What did she say to you? Did she say I called and forced her to divorce you?”

Feng Fanghua suddenly remembered not long ago she had just talked with Qin Mu over the phone, Qin Mu agreed very well to divorce Mu Yichen, but did she turn around and call him, telling tales about her?

”You called her again? You really are my real mom! Knowing clearly what I’m thinking, yet relentlessly forcing her, Mom, are you loving me or hating me?”

Mu Yichen felt like crying but had to smile awkwardly, how could he have thought, his mother who keeps saying she cares for him, always ends up doing bad with good intentions, making it hard to reconcile things between him and Qin Mu.

No wonder she suddenly called speaking about divorce.

”Her clothes, did you also have someone send them to Paris?”

Mu Yichen suddenly asked again.

Feng Fanghua was shocked: ”Clothes? Weren’t they thrown away?”
