His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2227: Chapter 649: One Year Later (26) Legal Knowledge

”New Year? Finance?”

Qin Mu was stunned. She understood the New Year part, but finance was beyond her comprehension. Is Mu Yichen going to proceed legally with her and give her a share of the property?

You have to understand that although she has made some money over the years, compared to Mu Yichen, it’s worlds apart. If they really go through legal proceedings, she would definitely be the one to gain.

”Don’t you have even this bit of legal knowledge? You still want a divorce?”

Mu Yichen looked at her with disdain, then turned to open the door.

”Wait a minute!”

Qin Mu immediately reached out to hold him back.

Mu Yichen frowned at her. Qin Mu took a deep breath and then said to him earnestly: ”Let me touch up my makeup!”

Since she was going to see their son and daughter during the New Year, she couldn’t face them looking like this. So after speaking to Mu Yichen, Qin Mu quickly stood to the side, rummaged in her bag for a makeup mirror and cushion to fix her face.

Mu Yichen’s frown relaxed, and he suddenly laughed.

The smile bloomed like a flower, beautiful enough to evoke affection.

Qin Mu just glanced briefly, then blushed awkwardly and turned her head to continue touching up.

”Done!”

She didn’t dare spend too long, turned around, and said like a young girl.

”Not going to put some lipstick on? Your lips don’t look great!”

Looking at Qin Mu’s clear and captivating eyes, Mu Yichen couldn’t help but glance at her lips. These lips he both loved and hated; right now, he felt like kissing her, but he only ended up mockingly reminding her.

”Are they dry?”

Qin Mu was surprised, instinctively raised her hand to touch her lips, realizing she had been so busy with her face that she forgot her lips, so she quickly took out her mirror again.

Mu Yichen didn’t expect she would actually apply lipstick and watched with a complicated expression as she finished, before finally pushing the door open.

Qin Mu took a deep breath, consciously as he stepped over the threshold.

She broke her promise to the elders!

If Feng Fanghua found out she appeared in the apartment now, she’d likely be furious and questioning her.

But, how much longer could she do this?

She allowed herself to indulge for now, leaving future matters for later.

Mu Yichen walked a few steps and noticed she hadn’t followed. Turning back, he saw her walk in with a nervous expression.

Wondering, so nervous?

Qin Mu instinctively glanced at him, but before she could see clearly, she heard a low murmur, almost in disbelief.

”Young Mistress!”

The auntie in the old house was cooking lunch for the two little ones and washing fruit to serve. Upon hearing someone return, she turned to see Qin Mu following Mu Yichen, and couldn’t help but exclaim in disbelief.

”Auntie!”

Qin Mu nodded and smiled brightly: ”Long time no see!”

”It’s really you!”

The auntie seemed on the verge of tears but ended up smiling.

”Mom!”

”Mom, you finally came back!”

The two kids who had been playing chess on the coffee table immediately recognized Qin Mu and rushed over. Huanhuan hugged her waist perfectly, while Chengcheng clung to her leg.

Qin Mu instinctively looked down, her hands gently wrapped around them, and her eyes started to tear up.

Although it hadn’t been long since they last met, somehow meeting here felt truly...

Overwhelming with emotions!

However, despite everything, being able to reunite is enough!

”I’ve been taking care of the young miss and young master these days; the master brought them out!”

The auntie whispered to Qin Mu, who noticed Mu Yichen had gone upstairs shortly after entering. The auntie glanced upstairs as she spoke and then whispered to Qin Mu: ”The master moved out because of you!”

Qin Mu’s clear eyes rested on the auntie, and she couldn’t help but smile: ”You’re joking!”

”You’ve just returned. There are many things you probably don’t know yet. I won’t say anything; the master should tell you himself. Haven’t you had lunch? I’m preparing it now. You and the kids should have a good chat. I’ll go check the kitchen.”

The aunt reluctantly let go of Qin Mu’s hand, full of joy over her return.

”Thank you for your hard work!”

Qin Mu nodded, thinking she hadn’t eaten much in the past few days.

For some unknown reason, she suddenly thought about Mu Yichen asking her to stay until after the New Year.

If she waited until after the New Year to finalize the divorce...

Qin Mu felt some hesitation, but decided to take it one step at a time and discuss it with her friends.
