His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2231: Chapter 650: One Year Later (27) (Second Update)

Because AM is not far, a family of four drove there. Huanhuan and Chengcheng were completely at ease, almost as if they were at home, running around everywhere. Qin Mu wanted to chase after them and remind them, but Mu Yichen grabbed her hand right in the lobby.

Qin Mu felt a tight string all over her body, then turned to look at Mu Yichen.

”Don’t worry about them.”

Don’t worry about them?

Then what about the two of them?

Last time they came here, he reserved the whole western restaurant for just the two of them. What about this time?

Qin Mu hoped it wouldn’t be like that again, as it really wasn’t appropriate.

Mu Yichen, however, did not let go of her hand until they reached the elevator. Only then did Qin Mu, feeling like a dull knife was cutting her flesh, manage to free her hand from his palm.

Mu Yichen instinctively turned to look at her, noticing her evasive gaze. He didn’t ask her anything further, just put his hand back in his pants pocket, carrying with it the warmth that belonged to her.

This time they didn’t go to the western restaurant but to the Chinese restaurant where she often sat with friends before. Chengcheng and Huanhuan didn’t run around much this time; after they ordered, the staff took the two little ones away.

”Mom, why were so many people asking for your autograph just now? Are you famous?”

As soon as Huanhuan sat down, he couldn’t help but ask Qin Mu.

”Mom thinks she’s not that famous, but who knows!”

Qin Mu couldn’t help but be playful by the end of her sentence.

”Mom, you’re a bit proud! You should stay low-key, stay low-key!”

Chengcheng, holding a glass of juice, didn’t forget to educate Qin Mu.

”Yes, yes! Mom will definitely be more low-key in the future, not proud, not impatient!”

Qin Mu nodded quickly, agreeing with her precious son’s directive.

Mu Yichen poured her some tea, listening to her cooperative voice, and couldn’t help but feel quite happy, with a rare smile on his face.

In the past year or so, at the hotel, very few people had seen him this genuinely at ease.

Soon, the waiter came to serve the dishes, announcing each dish one by one, and the two little ones immediately picked up their chopsticks, not being shy at all.

Seeing them eat as if they hadn’t been to a hotel for a long time, Qin Mu asked, ”How long has it been since you two ate here?”

”Dad always loves to cook for us at home! We’re tired of it!”

Huanhuan immediately protested.

Mu Yichen chuckled bitterly, ”Are you implying my cooking isn’t good? Have you forgotten how good your mom’s cooking is?”

Upon hearing his dad’s words, Huanhuan immediately shut his mouth, not daring to speak anymore.

”Hey! Why bring up my cooking skills when talking about meals?”

Some things are better left unsaid! This man, honestly!

Mu Yichen glanced at her again, and Qin Mu, caught by his gaze, immediately lowered her head, focusing on eating with her chopsticks.

”After dinner, are we going home right away? Are we going to Grandma’s or back to the apartment?”

Chengcheng, eating with a bit of oiliness on his lips, but looking quite cute, curiously asked Mu Yichen and Qin Mu.

Qin Mu didn’t know anything, so she glanced at the man beside her.

Mu Yichen said lightly, ”Of course, we’re going back to the apartment!”

As she watched his gaze slowly lower, Qin Mu thought of how he said he was now living alone with their son and daughter. The aunt also said he moved out of the old house for her, which made her involuntarily curious, but it wasn’t appropriate to ask more.

She originally thought he moved out to be with Chen Xiaoyi for convenience. But now, thinking about it, if he truly did it for Chen Xiaoyi, then why would he bring along two kids? Wasn’t he afraid they would disturb his and Chen Xiaoyi’s couple time?

Feng Fanghua originally didn’t know Qin Mu was back, but with her fans causing such a scene, Feng Fanghua eventually found out.

Qin Mu received a call from Feng Fanghua on her way back. She was a bit afraid to answer because Mu Yichen was there.

Mu Yichen noticed her expression, and with the children dozing off in the back, he asked calmly, ”Why not answer it?”

”Oh!”

Qin Mu didn’t know what to say. She thought that if she didn’t answer, Feng Fanghua would get angry anyway. Since Mu Yichen probably guessed it, she picked up the call.

”Hello, Mom!”

Qin Mu’s voice was very soft.

”What did you promise me?”

The first thing Feng Fanghua said was this question.

Qin Mu sighed lightly in helplessness, looking down at her empty fingers, ”I remember, but, Mom, I won’t stay long!”

Her explanation, too, was hard to articulate.

”Not staying long? Don’t tell me you’re back to divorce Yichen.”

Feng Fanghua laughed mockingly upon hearing this, questioning further.

”Indeed!”

Her voice was filled with helplessness, the divorce was so unbelievable that even she found it absurd.
