His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2229: Chapter 649: A Year Later (26) Legal Common Sense 3

Mu Yichen watched her gradually walk away, but couldn’t help but laugh softly.

Throughout this year, he probably thought of her and their schemes all the time.

Throughout this year, she gave up struggling with him, letting whatever he said be what it was.

She planned to give up on him, maybe she was already doing it, but Qin Mu, you can’t live so comfortably.

Mu Yichen glanced at the table, then got up to tidy up.

As Qin Mu pushed open the door to the main bedroom on the second floor, she felt a familiar scent inside, but also felt a piece of her heart being hollowed out, so sad.

She stood by the door, looking at the large bed in the distance. It was quite tidy, but this time returning, what would happen again?

She suddenly recalled the last time they met, though they were long-time spouses, having another intimate moment shouldn’t mean much, but there was always a hidden pain in her heart.

Clearly, it’s coming to an end, but...

In her heart, she knew that he might not like divorce, he might not want to sever ties so cleanly with her.

However, they’ve been entangled for so many years, why couldn’t they just coexist like family?

Or maybe she was being selfish. In Paris, a friend told her that after breaking up, don’t dream of staying friends, after divorce, dreaming of being family will just trouble the one who gave more.

So, is what’s left just to be strangers until old age?

He said they needed to divorce, with many things to untangle, she only wanted to tell him now, she just wanted to leave by herself with her luggage.

Qin Mu didn’t get on the bed, because just looking at it made her afraid, not of what might happen between them again, but of the flood of memories.

So she lay on the sofa, sending a message in the group chat: ”I’m back again! Sisters, get ready to take turns hosting me!”

”Really? Don’t lie to me!” Qin Mingzhu replied.

”You really came back again? Where are you now?” Helian Hao asked.

”I want to see you, boo-hoo, I want to see you!” Xiaomei said.

”Now, in the apartment downtown!”

Just reading their messages, Qin Mu could feel their love for her, but she still replied in a lukewarm tone.

”The apartment downtown? The one Mu Yichen is living in now?”

Helian Hao asked first.

”Yes!”

Qin Mu responded.

Then the group was silent for a few seconds, before it exploded again, one after another, overwhelming.

When Mu Yichen finished tidying up and returned to the room, he saw no one on the bed. His gaze instantly turned cold, but when he turned and saw her lying on the sofa, he relaxed slightly, letting out a quiet breath and walked over.

Qin Mu slightly lifted her eyes: ”Mu, you finished tidying up?”

”Hmph!”

’Mu’ accompanied with a cold laugh, a response.

Who has ever seen a CEO being a housekeeper at home?

However, some people always enjoy such a lifestyle.

”Don’t you have work to do?”

Qin Mu lay sideways on the sofa, supporting her head with one hand, playfully observing him.

It seemed like the loneliness of the room was highlighted by his protest, his dark eyes were bottomless, staring directly at her.

Unconsciously, Qin Mu felt a tightness in her throat, smiled slightly: ”Aren’t you going to accompany Miss Chen?”

Mu Yichen still answered with silence, Qin Mu didn’t know how to continue the conversation, withdrew her gaze, turned around to finally not have to face him, secretly relieved.

”Isn’t divorce just about going to the civil affairs bureau? Do we need a lawyer? I can find a lawyer to draft the documents. As for your things, I don’t want anything, and I will return all the property you gave me.”

Qin Mu gently placed her hands on her flat abdomen, recently she felt her appetite wasn’t great, becoming slimmer, and her pelvic bone seemed particularly high.

Mu Yichen still didn’t speak, only lowered his head and walked casually towards the window.

Rarely were both of them here, in this familiar place.

But silence ensued, eventually Qin Mu said no more, not knowing his plans, he didn’t explain, just saying things here and there, making her mind a mess, it seemed she couldn’t even cooperate with him.

At a little past three, the two little ones finally got up, the sun suddenly shone brightly outside, and the family of four went to a bookstore downtown.

Qin Mu didn’t know why, she had agreed that it would be just the mother and two children going out, but later, Mu Yichen drove them out.

Qin Mingzhu was immersed in reading a book when she heard someone call Mu Jie, she looked up, and saw Qin Mu with Mu Yichen following behind her.

The two little ones whizzed off to the rooftop to look at children’s books, Qin Mingzhu’s eyes moved several times as she watched Qin Mu, then slowly stood up from the sofa: ”Sister?”

Seeing her look of disbelief, Qin Mu couldn’t help but smile: ”I’ve told you I’m back, you still don’t believe it?”

”I thought you were joking with us, boo-hoo!”

Qin Mu had just walked forward to be embraced tightly by Qin Mingzhu, on the verge of tears, Mu Yichen stood by the door for a while, ordered two cups of coffee, walked up to them, and handed Qin Mu a cup: ”I’ll go upstairs to check on those two siblings.”

”Okay!”

Qin Mu raised her hand to take the coffee, agreeing at the same time.

Qin Mingzhu looked on in shock, seemingly unable to believe they were getting along so well. As soon as Mu Yichen left, Qin Mingzhu leaned close to Qin Mu’s ear to whisper: ”Did you two make up?”

”Which aspect are you referring to?”

Qin Mu smiled lightly, sipping her coffee as she sat down.

”So at ease, you look just like before.”

Qin Mingzhu almost couldn’t help but laugh, whispering as she sat beside Qin Mu.

Qin Mu looked towards the stairs, those long steps, his casual yet incredibly handsome figure, simply mesmerizing.

”Is that so!”

She didn’t refute, nor did she say much, she came back for a divorce, a divorce!

But now...

Forget it!

Just cherish this brief time with the children.

Qin Mu looked around, perhaps because it was already winter vacation, the store was filled with many young people, after sitting for a while, she stood up, holding her coffee: ”I’m heading upstairs too, you stay here!”

Qin Mu glanced at the novel she was reading, just chuckling lightly, and turned to find that trio.
