Chapter 1147: Chapter 3: Going All Out

The battle situation has already entered a one-sided trend.

This is a division-level confrontation, where Margaret’s Red Army and Fatty’s Blue Army met narrowly in a river valley. The system’s strategic goal wasn’t to seize positions but to defeat or annihilate the enemy entirely.

Originally, Fatty’s troops had already occupied three heights by the river when encountering Margaret, setting up defenses. Meanwhile, Margaret also occupied two hills and confronted Fatty. Previously, both sides only deployed small units for tentative attacks. However, as Fatty became absent-minded, these myriad trial attacks halted.

Fatty assumed Margaret was worried about Leefer, but little did he know it wasn’t the case. Moreover, she hadn’t stopped making moves at all. All her troops were ready for an attack.

At this time, Fatty’s trenches hadn’t even been dug!

Having a plan against an unprepared enemy, one can imagine how embarrassed Fatty was at this moment. A positional warfare was impossible, as the prepared Red Army assault swept higher and higher, and several heights were successively lost. Continuing like this, the Blue Army was headed towards a dead end.

Fatty had no choice but to drag his troops back.

The system-set engagement area encompassed over two thousand square kilometers, and the set time was three months of system time.

Time and space were ample; an enraged Fatty vowed not to bow. While maneuvering his troops against Margaret, he swiftly collected intelligence, utilized simulation techniques to compute data, looked for gaps, and formulated new combat plans.

One symbol after another appeared and disappeared on the simulation screen, and command after command nearly reached the level-1 combat units.

Fatty had completely thrown himself into it.

His mind was spinning rapidly like wheels, and the thousands of classic case studies instilled by Russell provided endless fresh resource water for his command. And the command techniques learned from countless simulations against Fang Xiang, Cecilia, Carl, Chekov, and Margaret, acted like channels delivering water to needed places.

The battle situation grew increasingly severe, and the pressure on Fatty also intensified. However, his hand did not pause a single bit.

Though the time to join forces was short, Russell still personally guided his command techniques and explained a few key issues. Over these days, Fatty had been pondering Russell’s words, studying military theory, attempting to integrate everything in his mind to become a true commander. Now, he regarded this simulation as the most crucial confrontation of his life!

The Red Army struck from four directions, and the wild mecha army madly pursued the Blue Army. Cutting off, encircling, penetrating with linear insertions. Margaret’s tactical style was sharp and direct, under her command, the entire Red Army seemed like a pack of wolves plunged into a flock of sheep! The virtual map in the system exuded an invincible and majestic stance.

However, as time passed, and with the Blue Army’s persistent resistance, the Red Army’s casualties began to increase! The red color on Margaret’s face faded like the ebb of tide.

The tide-like Red Army assault was held back! On the battle situation diagram, the attack arrows of red and blue stalled on a winding line, a back-and-forth tug!

”How is this possible?!” Margaret couldn’t believe the simulation system’s calculations. With the battle clearly at its end, the Blue Army crumbled thousands of miles after the defense was breached. The Red Army was already deep into the final pursuit mode, how could they be held back under such circumstances?!

Margaret looked up at Fatty.

”It’s not me who cheated, it’s not me who cheated! Someone else takes gain and I get blamed!” Fatty grinned and furiously tapped on the virtual keyboard like a crazed piano player high on drugs.

Watching the frenzied Fatty, Margaret’s mind recalled the ”Thousand-Mile Victory,” where within the system confrontation of the class, the ”Honest and Cute Young Gentleman” managed to win over thirty consecutive victories with an unbeaten record, using surprisingly high combat conditional skills, commanding soldiers to dodge missiles, shattering even the iron rule her grandfather Hastings couldn’t break, a madman.

The Blue Army’s small units moved, in platoons, and companies, through the vast mountainous forest, inserted, raided, and resisted persistently. Their figures appeared in front, behind, left, and right of the Red Army, virtually everywhere possible and impossible, impossible to defend against. They are chaotic yet orderly, their fight scattered over tens to hundreds of kilometers is consistent and interconnected.

Group combat caused the Red Army casualties to keep increasing.

The battle situation, while still favoring the Red Army, saw the utterly uncontrollable Blue Army’s collapse suddenly contained in this chaotic resistance!

Even more maddening was with the Red Army’s deep pursuit, the left and right flanks began to show signs of losing connection. And near the headquarters in the middle route, without anyone noticing, several Blue Army squads emerged.

Margaret stopped her hand in shock, staring blankly at Fatty.

Fatty raised his head and grinned an ominous smile.

. Hmm, it’s probably unlikely to reach the top three on the monthly vote list, but getting to the top on the recommendation list seems doable. To thank everyone for pounding me hard, I’ll release an extra thousand words today. A thousand words may be simple for others, but it’s incredibly precious for me.
