Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1146: Chapter 8-3: All or Nothing

”Worried he’s got another trick up his sleeve?” Fatty simply walked away from his simulation computer, abandoning this dull match.

Engaging in simulation battles with Margaret had been a habit since they first met. Back then, they agreed to exchange skills they’re good at. Since Margaret’s hands were naturally cold with Mechas, overall, Fatty learned much more from Margaret.

And during these days, no matter how their rivalry intensified in other areas, Margaret had never stopped imparting military knowledge. A big reason why Fatty agreed to ally with Margaret was because of this.

Despite opposing each other fiercely in national interests, Margaret was still able to enlighten him, showing her refined character and demeanor. To be honest, seeing Margaret sitting in the simulation room doing almost guided simulation battles after the conflict in the combat match, Fatty’s face blushed for at least a hundred microseconds. He felt ashamed for judging someone noble with a petty mindset........

Turns out, Margaret really has feelings for me!

Otherwise, after squeezing her with the Mecha, why would she still be so affectionate?!

Heartless Fatty had a win rate of less than ten percent in hundreds of simulation battles.

During the battles, Fatty rarely used his unique simulation technique.

He knew that no matter how strong individual simulation was, on the battlefield, it couldn’t match a vast Staff Department. The simulation technique he learned wasn’t to make him just another slightly better staff member, but a Commander with broader vision. Therefore, in simulation battles with Margaret, he deliberately restrained himself from using intelligence conditions, focusing on battlefield command techniques instead.

How to deploy troops in different climates and terrains, how to respond to enemy’s encircling and divide-and-conquer tactics, how to make accurate judgments with incomplete intelligence, how to allocate his limited forces reasonably... These were what Fatty needed to learn.

If it were before, faced with Margaret’s distracted state, a godsend opportunity, Fatty would have gritted his teeth and set a record that would drive Margaret wild, and then proudly used it as a trump card during their verbal disputes.

However, recently, even without taking advantage of simulation calculations, his win rate against Margaret reached thirty percent. So, he generously let go of the chance to torment Margaret.

Upon hearing Fatty’s question, Margaret shook her head slightly, ”I’m not worried about that.”

”Not worried?” Fatty observed Margaret suspiciously. Technically, since Leefer had decided to act, considering his cautious and ruthless nature, he surely has endless killing moves. Fatty couldn’t believe Margaret wasn’t worried at all.

Margaret noticed Fatty’s doubts and spoke calmly, ”I’ve said that between Leefer and me, there are only hidden daggers and no open guns. So, if Leefer fails, he’ll definitely retreat.”

She gently pushed the desk, moving her swivel chair away from the computer, elegantly crossed her legs. Her slender calves beneath the stockings were irresistibly sexy.

”If General McKinley hadn’t sent a fleet, then Leefer might have had a chance to launch consecutive attacks. But since they engaged with the warning fleet, when the time is up, Leefer won’t take the risk. You should know that General McKinley holds an important position in the United Command, and without contact with the fleet, he can pull more fleets from Resk anytime.”

Margaret said, pointing at the time on the computer with her hand, ”It’s been ten hours already. They’ve missed the best opportunity to ambush us.”

Fatty sat back in his chair, puzzled, ”Then why do I see you looking so unsettled?”

Margaret’s enchanting eyes flashed with a strange smile, although she hadn’t fully recovered from the shock brought by the little kid, it didn’t stop her from seizing this rare opportunity to torment the Fatty who had suppressed her and fumbled his golden chance!

She leisurely said, ”I’m thinking, with a ten percent loss ratio, if you win this round, will you cry?”

”What?!” Fatty was startled and turned to look at his simulation screen.

Margaret chuckled, pressing her fingertips on the keyboard. Armored troops in overwhelming numbers rushed towards Fatty’s positions like a tide. Minutes later, Margaret’s heavily concentrated armored forces broke through Fatty’s center, followed by sharp and decisive encircling maneuvers.

”Shameless!” Fatty roared in fury, flustered, ”You’re absolutely shameless!”

”I’m shameless?!” Margaret stifled a laugh, speaking vehemently, ”Cooperating with the little kid to take advantage of Sister Xiang and me, who the hell is shameless?!”

”That little brat did it himself, why am I taking the blame! I swear I’m innocent,” Fatty desperately tried to turn the tide, ”It wasn’t me rubbing my face against you! If I were shameless, I wouldn’t be rubbing personally. What’s the point for him to rub against me?!”

Fatty was busy remedying the defeat, completely oblivious that Margaret’s face had turned crimson to the point of potentially bleeding.

”You still want to rub! Still want pleasure,” Margaret gritted her teeth, typing furiously, imagining her soggy chest being rubbed by Fatty’s plump face, her neck reddened with shame, ”Fatty, I’ll let you rub, let you rub!”
