Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1139: Chapter 1: The Mysterious Fleet (Part 5)

The Suss Cruiser was destroyed?!

In the control room, all the bandit soldiers were dumbfounded.

The Suss Fleet, without their cruiser, was completely suppressed by those six battleships. They were like ghostly six battleships. Their speed was incredibly fast, their firepower formidable, and their defense was incredibly amazing. Like six satellites, they moved swiftly around the Suss Fleet, making it difficult for the Suss battleships to lock onto them. Occasionally, a hit would only slightly change the color of their energy shields, but it wouldn’t take long for their shields to recover. Yet, their counterattacks were extremely fierce, with an astonishing hit rate.

Most importantly, the coordination between these battleships was outrageously seamless.

Their only cruiser attracted most of the Suss Fleet’s firepower, while their destroyers formed crossfire during high-speed maneuvers. The cruiser was destroyed in a series of continuous moving attacks from different angles by these six mysterious battleships.

Their synchronization rate was very high, even though they were in different positions and constantly moving. As soon as one of the battleships adjusted its route and posture, the other five would make corresponding adjustments simultaneously. Without saying anything else, just by watching the firing speed of these battleships’ Energy Cannons and their almost synchronized changes in direction, one could understand how terrifying the warriors inside these battleships were!

One by one, the Suss battleships were destroyed by the mysterious fleet.

The Suss Fleet had changed formation, starting to disperse and engage in scattered skirmishes. However, they were still firmly suppressed by these battleships.

Fatty stared blankly at the cruiser being desperately attacked by the Suss people.

As the most powerful battleship, this cruiser could often inflict significant damage on the Suss battleships. As a result, it also received the most concentrated attacks. Its energy shield was nearing a deep red, and its port armor had already been breached with a large hole. Countless Energy Cannons were flying towards it. However, it continued to fly on a fixed path according to tactical requirements.

Adjusting, changing direction, speeding up, slowing down, locking onto targets, firing... In the face of death, the soldiers on this ship were so calm; their calmness was chilling!

Fatty shivered a bit. What appeared before his eyes were not six human-driven battleships, but six war machines piloted by ghosts, six cold-blooded space grim reapers!

Were these all fleets under Leefer’s command?

Fatty suddenly wanted to apologize to Leefer.

”Are you sure these are all Leefer’s fleets?” Fatty asked Margaret with a pounding heart.

”Yes!” Margaret’s answer was very concise.

”How does he mobilize these battleships?” Fatty couldn’t understand: ”I mean, you’re not an Empire system, how can he have his own private troops?”

”This is not a strange thing.” Margaret shook her head and said, ”These troops are not private armies; they are still Republic troops. However, most of them are distributed across different military zones. Their stationed locations are remote and strictly controlled. Their mobilization orders are only given through their zone commanders, and the Military Department won’t know. They have already formed an iron curtain with local governments and some interest groups.”

”How is this possible?” Fatty felt it was somewhat unbelievable.

”Feiyang is vast!” Margaret said indifferently: ”Probably a dozen times larger than your Leray. You can imagine the influence and power that a high-ranking general like Leefer can possess.”

”Damn it, I just mocked him a couple of times, why am I set as the second target?” Fatty muttered, suddenly feeling something wrong with his hand, he raised Margaret’s hand before his eyes: ”Why are you holding my hand?!”

”General!” Sechter’s sudden shout interrupted Fatty’s almost violated-like panic: ”Look quickly!”

Fatty let go of Margaret’s hand and turned to look at the screen.

On the monitor screen, debris from dozens of battleships quietly floated in the obstacle zone.

There were those unmarked black battleships and... battleships with the Feiyang insignia. It was a small yet terrifyingly silent fleet graveyard.

A cold hand once again grasped his soft hand.

Margaret’s voice was gentle yet firm: ”I need you.”

Fatty shivered violently, feeling like he almost climaxed instantly.
