Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1132: Chapter 128: Departure (2)

A few months ago, upon receiving intelligence, he personally devised a battle plan and commanded the fleet to penetrate the Freedom Channel, attempting to surprise attack the Leray Secret Mission visiting Chuckna. The captive specifically wanted Leray Colonel Tian Xingjian alive.

But unexpectedly, after a fierce battle, Tian Xingjian managed to ram a path to survival with a destroyer and escaped.

Even more unexpectedly, after drifting to the Mars Free World, he not only cleverly exploited the conflicts between factions to orchestrate an upheaval, but in the chaos, he defeated the Northern Commerce Alliance and hijacked the entire Mars Free World. Just over twenty hours ago, he assisted the Feiyang 19th Group Fleet in defeating Hanfrey and captured all the warships of the Feiling and Feiyu Fleets!

A Major General, only twenty-six years old, able to achieve such war achievements! This can no longer be explained by talent alone!

Variable! ...... In Alessandro’s mind, he recalled the codename originally given by the Gazalin Military Department to this person in the intelligence. Now thinking back, it is so fitting.

When the massive war machine of the Western Alliance is fully powered and proceeding along the predetermined path, this guy is like a troublemaker constantly placing various obstacles on the track. This time, he has already threatened the overall strategic plan of Sobel, and even forced Sobel to change the strategic timetable for him. If he’s given enough time, if he has enough luck, then the future......+

Alessandro dared not think further.

He quietly stood behind Sobel, feeling nothing but shame and awe towards Sobel. Being able to give the order to attack this unremarkable Fatty months ago, Sobel’s vision has transcended time and space.

”This is not your fault!” Sobel stood up, looking at Alessandro with his head bowed, calmly said, ”There are things I know that you don’t. Therefore, none of this is related to you. Taking responsibility is the basic virtue of an Imperial Noble. However, this doesn’t mean you should shoulder all factors of failure. If it was his arrival in the Free World that led to today’s setback, then I should bear the greatest responsibility for initially issuing the order.”

Alessandro lowered his head piously. At this moment, his entire life belonged to Sobel.

”I still underestimated him.” Sobel slowly walked up to the interstellar plane, standing with his hands behind his back. His low voice carried a tinge of metallic texture, and the lights in the entire office seemed to dim.

”Let’s go!”

Sobel stood silently in front of the interstellar map for a moment, then gently waved his hand and walked towards the door. Alessandro quickly stepped forward to open the automatic door before following closely behind Sobel.

Outside the office, the hustle and bustle from the command hall was overwhelming.

When Sobel appeared on the second-floor platform of the hall, the noisy footsteps and call signals instantly vanished. The entire Combat Department hall fell silent. Officers dressed in Binart uniforms stood solemnly, eyes fixed ahead.

In a sofa corner of the hall, a dozen generals from different Western Alliance member countries and noble families also elegantly stood up, chest out and heads raised, looking at Sobel.

The Western Alliance’s winter offensive orders have been issued! They knew that after the humiliating defeat in the Longbow Battle, Sobel would unleash harsh retaliation on the entire Fei Alliance. He intends to ignite War Fire in every inch of the starry sky, turning Karsdon and Resk into the most brutal mincing machines. He aims to exploit the current strategic advantage of the Western Alliance to the fullest, causing the Fei Alliance to crumble under intense pressure!

This isn’t a decisive battle. However, this stage of the campaign will be more brutal than a decisive battle!

”In the Karsdon Star River, the Feiyang Fleet in the Montoya Interstellar Corridor is trying to advance deep into our territory, to distract us from the comprehensive offensive launched in the central and left-wing battlefields.” Sobel’s right hand gently rested on the platform railing, calmly said, ”In Resk, the armies of Feiyang and Chuckna are gathering. They have occupied the Longbow Star System, taking control of our northern channel, attempting to annihilate General Mikami Yuto’s hundreds of thousands of troops in one fell swoop. To reverse the Resk Battle.”

Sobel’s voice echoed in the Combat Department hall, calm and composed. He seemed to be narrating a serene tale, not delivering a wartime speech.

”They got the wrong idea.”

He raised his hand to glance at the silvery-white vintage mechanical watch on his wrist, a cold smile forming at his lips: ”Begin, give them no time, nor any chance!”

The second hand returned to zero. An identical communication cipher split into hundreds of communication light waves, bouncing across countless interstellar communication relays.

”The 2063 winter offensive begins. Execute the ’Sever’ plan.”

The fleet departed from the debris-filled asteroid belt, heading towards Blue Stone Star.

In the distance, the tawny planet, the Constant Star behind the planet looking like a fiery red ball, and the further gray-white nebula obscuring the stars were swiftly fading from view. This space, which had claimed countless warships and lives, looking back one last time, felt like a different era.

One steel warship after another entered the Jump Channel. The fully opened tail propellers erupted with intense blue light. As the ship disappeared, it seemed distorted by its own brilliance. Due to excessive speed, the ion stream from the propeller flickered briefly. There was no change from large to small, from near to far; just in an instant, the warship vanished from the retina as if merging into the void.
