Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1141: Chapter 2: A Rush of Mixed Emotions (Part 2)

If Leefer knew what kind of army the bandit army really was, perhaps he would regret his decision. And as for those generals at the command headquarters, they would soon realize what they missed when they kept silent!

Margaret quietly looked at Fatty, her bright eyes filled with uncontrollable tension. What conditions would he propose?!

”It’s simple,” Fatty looked at Margaret and said bluntly, ”You hooked up with me, so you have to take responsibility for me!”

”Fatty!” A charming smile blossomed softly at the corners of Margaret’s mouth. She quickly kissed Fatty’s face, her eyes seductive like those of a bewitching vixen: ”Maybe one day, I really will marry you.”

”I already have a wife. Several.” Fatty, with a clueless expression, wiped his face with his hand and said: ”Why did you lick me with all that saliva?”

Looking at Sechter, who was shrinking and shrinking nearby, Margaret felt all the newfound affection she had for Fatty vanish into thin air. Right now, she just wanted to strangle this damned Fatty with her bare hands!

”Here are the main parameters of Binart’s Giant Wave. Modified... here is the dissection diagram of the original Giant Wave.”

In the hexagonal conference room, the lights were bright. More than thirty officers sat on chairs distributed in a fan shape, quietly listening to the introduction by a Major General.

The entire conference room was silent except for the voice of the Major General. Although it was just a routine meeting, the officers wearing Feiyang uniforms sat casually, yet in their silence exuded a chilling aura. Each of their faces was indifferent, their gaze cold and hard. It was the ruthlessness and indifference only warriors who had experienced countless battles could possess.

Leefer sat at the forefront, thoughtfully listening to the Major General’s explanation.

”...We can say that among the Binart battleships we know, this type ranks third. And of the two types ahead of it, one is still on the blueprint in technological reserve, and the other has yet to step off the construction platform of the shipyard!”

”According to preliminary predictions...” The Major General switched the diagram on the virtual screen: ”My active Unicorn-class battleship, when encountering the Giant Wave. Modified, won’t exceed a thirty-percent chance of victory. And in group combat, this probability will decrease further. In other words, the presence of the Hanfrey Fleet should already make us sufficiently vigilant. At least in terms of battleship main formation, the fifty-percent victory balance between the armies has been broken.”

”Analyze in detail.” Leefer said.

”Yes, Admiral.” The Major General instinctively stood at attention and pointed the electronic pointer at the comparative data on the virtual screen: ”From the caliber of this battleship’s main cannon, the strength of its energy shield, and other aspects, we have reason to believe that the 5th Generation Power Array that Binart Empire has reportedly kept on paper has actually been researched, manufactured, and installed on the new Giant Wave. This power array engine-composed power cabin will provide over fifty percent more power than the 4th Generation Power Array. There is also a significant improvement in energy utilization efficiency. With this power array as a base, all the indicators of its battleship have seen substantial improvements.....”

The Major General tapped the virtual keyboard, and the light-wave keyboard in the air rippled with the fingers like fleeting water ripples. The data on the virtual screen scrolled quickly down.

”This is the data sent back post-battle by the Nineteen Group Fleet....” The Major General continued: ”From the entire battle, it can be seen that the Hanfrey Fleet occupies an absolute advantage in firepower. Although their energy main cannon caliber is the same thirty-eight hundred millimeters as before, its attack strength and speed surpass the old Giant Wave by at least thirty percent. That is to say, if our Frenzied Shark-class cruiser is hit in its weak rear side wing, just one shot will have us offering prayers for our fallen warriors.”

Saying that, the Major General tapped the keyboard again: ”Here’s the combat footage at the time, look at this battleship’s movement trajectory and its firing intervals.....”

The Major General’s voice echoed in the conference room without a trace of fluctuation.

Everyone silently watched the virtual screen, listened to his explanation. From cruisers, battleships to new Thunderbolt Fighters, then to the Imperial Power-class carriers serving as fighter combat platforms. As the Major General’s explanation deepened, every officer’s gaze showed signs of shock.

”.....Imperial Power-class carriers, Binart Empire only built twenty, each equipped to one of its twenty Royal Elephant-class Fleets. It can be said this is already the strongest military force of the Binart Empire, yet unexpectedly, the first appearance of this kind of carrier was met with a tragic defeat. Two carriers of the Hanfrey Fleet, one was destroyed by the bandit army fleet, and the other was captured...”

”That’s enough.” Leefer stood up, lightly waved his hand, interrupting the Major General’s briefing: ”In summary, what conclusion did you arrive at?”

”The Staff Department came to two conclusions.” The Major General solemnly stated: ”First, the combat power of the Binart Empire Royal Elephant-class Fleet has widened its gap with their conventional fleets after equipping new battleships. It can be said that Elephant-class fleets are already special combat units. Their combat strength is far higher than we imagined. Worthy of caution.”

”Second...” The Major General switched the screen, and on it appeared dozens of battered battleships: ”We analyzed the entire process from the bandit army’s raid to its conclusion. Although there is no conclusive evidence yet proving this fleet has stealth capabilities, based on the ambush locations they selected in this battle and the enemy’s sluggish reaction at that time, it already shows they possess special technology beyond our imagination. And their ramming tactics also indicate that these battleships do not seem as dilapidated as they appear! If we were to rate this fleet.....”
