Counterfeit Hero

Time passed second by second. In the distance, a squadron of a hundred fighter jets from the bandit army had already engaged in combat with the swarming Binart fighter jet vanguard. That section of the airspace was in chaos, and more jets were breaking free from the bandit army fighter jets’ entanglement, surging toward the escape pod.

Two ”Judgers” fought while retreating.

One bandit army fighter jet after another rushed in from afar, joining the battle.

In the asteroid belt, chaos reigned. Fighter jets danced in the air, countless energy cannon beams interweaving densely. Two Mechas, like Phantoms, firmly blocked all attacks outside the defense circle they formed together.

Suddenly, Douglas’s gaze fixed on a bandit army fighter jet.

This sneaky fighter jet emerged from the gap between two nearly adjacent floating rocks. At the moment of its appearance, it was already not far from the escape pod. Moreover, its timing was exceptionally precise; it seized the brief moment when the two Mechas just swapped positions to face other fighter jets, lightning-fast, approaching the escape pod.

Douglas held his breath.

He saw one Mecha that sensed something wrong was already swiftly turning around. The Mecha’s energy cannon fired, and the ion light saber was raised high.

At the critical juncture, the bandit army fighter jet performed consecutive rolls to avoid the Mecha’s energy cannon attack. Then, at the moment the energy cannon aimed at the escape pod, it fired a series of short bursts before suddenly pulling up.

The ion light saber swept under the fighter jet’s wings. The fighter jet plunged into the distant void, narrowly escaping death! Simultaneously, a white light suddenly brightened from the escape pod’s rear thruster!

Douglas suddenly stood up.

The ancestors and all heavenly gods manifested at this moment! He witnessed the entire process of the escape pod thruster being destroyed. He also saw, within that instant, dozens of Green Mechas silently and effortlessly appearing in the void! The appearance of those Green Mechas was unmistakably a larger version of Fatty Tian Xingjian!

In the silent night-like warship, thumping, only the sound of intense heartbeats could be heard!

The escape pod, having lost power, would lose the opportunity to actively enter the warship’s passageway. To get close enough to welcome it, one would have to face the attacks from both the Feiyang Fleet and the Bandit Army Fleet. Even with protection from two Mechas, the outcome was still uncertain!

”I’ve had enough!”

Beside his ear, the voice of Chief of Staff Pang Mingjian was heard.

Douglas turned his head and saw the over forty-year-old Colonel holding his chest with a bitter smile: ”General Douglas, let me know the final outcome later.....”

As he spoke, Pang Mingjian closed his eyes and sighed deeply, ”If we win, Hanfrey, how stifling that would be!”

”Aoo!”

In the silence, both Douglas and Pang Mingjian, their palms full of sweat, naturally did not hear Bai Jun, the bandit army pilot who destroyed the escape pod thruster, let out a cry of ecstatic delight in the soundless universe!

The fighter jets soared through the sky like lightning.

Inside the red launch tube, three segments of acceleration launchers abruptly halted after a two hundred meter acceleration.

The space version of the Green ”Ranger” was like a shell, shot into the void.

The vast universe, luminous heroes, spinning asteroids, and not far ahead in the void, a heavily damaged giant ship lept into the view of the Mecha’s transparent cockpit cover.

”Damn it, I got shot out!” Fatty cried out, tears streaming down, as he wailed, ”I remember my dad.”

”............”

Inside the central control room of the ”Oracle,” everyone forced stern expressions.

The launch tubes were opening one by one.

One Space Mecha after another emerged from the void, closely following behind Fatty.

”Wow, it hasn’t crashed yet!” came Baz’s voice of amazement in the Mecha Team’s channel, ”This mothership is damn tough.”

Fatty nodded in agreement, gazing forward in admiration. The Feiyu Aircraft Carrier was slowly rotating. Within its massive body, fiery flames billowed, webs of cracks constantly emitting beams of white light. Above the carrier, a spindle-shaped escape pod was entangled tightly by hovering bandit army fighter jets, while two Mechas visible only by their light and shadow casually roamed among the fighter jets and the energy cannon light chain!

Casually roaming?!

”Damn it! Acting like a pro, huh?!” Fatty, enraged, spat fiercely and waved his hand, ”Beat them up!”
