Counterfeit Hero

The rhythm of advance and retreat between the two sides seemed to have reached a tacit understanding. The Feiyang’s defense line was not as solid as a rock, nor was the Binart Empire advancing like a broken bamboo.

However, as the battle progressed, this balance seemed to be tilting dangerously.

***************************************************************************************************************************

Margaret hadn’t had a good night’s sleep for several consecutive days.

The battle unfolded right under her nose. The Bandit Army’s reconnaissance ships recorded every detail of the confrontation between the two sides. It could even be said that she understood the battlefield situation better than Douglas or Hanfrey did.

In Margaret’s view, the situation was very unfavorable for the Feiyang 19th Group Fleet. Although in the earlier stages of the battle, Douglas preserved strength and achieved a near two-to-one battle damage ratio, the advantages of the Binart Empire were still evident. With Douglas gradually retreating, the strategic maneuvering space and blockade positions left for the 19th Group Fleet were increasingly diminishing.

Hanfrey and his two Elephant-class Royal Fleets were not just reputed names. Their combat strength was far tougher than imagined.

Their ”Giant Wave” class battleships had powerful firepower and defense not inferior to the ”Unicorn” class battleships, holding their ground in direct confrontations within the battleship main formation.

And their ”Ode” class cruisers, long and swift, were adept at joint attacks. In battle, they could complete support operations and large-scale encircling maneuvers within a short time.

Moreover, their ”Sand Wolf” class high-speed destroyers, with strong firepower and excellent coordination, were far greater in number within the fleet compared to the 40-60 Young Lion class destroyers of the Feiyang A-Class Fleet.

More importantly, they had a group of well-trained Imperial Soldiers and a Commander whose on-the-spot command was near perfect!

Hanfrey was gradually accumulating advantages. When these advantages turned into a winning edge, even if every warrior in the Feiyang Fleet had an iron will to fight, they would collapse.

Is Fatty really going to launch an attack on such a fleet?!

The battle progress line on the command computer turned red segment by segment. On the radar, the battlefield of the two warring sides was drawing increasingly closer to the Bandit Army Fleet.

Margaret simply couldn’t understand.

It’s crucial to know that for this tiny Bandit Army Fleet, the combatants in the starry sky were two terrifying giants. Not to mention pointing their spears at the Bandit Army, even being swept aside by them would doom the Bandit Army Fleet to a fate of being pulverized.

Yet....... Margaret looked up, and there sat that Fatty, confidently napping in the command seat. His head tilted to the right, mouth slightly ajar, a gleam of drool sparkling at the corner....... Not only him, the entire Bandit Army Fleet maintained a calm and composed atmosphere. It seemed they didn’t realize at all that they were about to execute an insanely daring plan!

A crisp electronic tone startled Fatty awake from his sleep.

He straightened up reflexively, sitting formally, with a bewildered and anxious look in his drowsy eyes.

”A message from the Hidden Blade Fleet......” Fang Xiang, with head lowered, walked quickly to Fatty, then suddenly stopped, fixating on the command computer screen in front of Fatty.

Fatty stared blankly at Fang Xiang, seemingly taking a great effort to become fully awake. He looked towards the command console. On the radar, countless red dots were approaching him, with a tide of green dots behind them.

”Wow!” Fatty was startled, turning his head in panic.

Fang Xiang was standing right in front of him. Behind her was Big Head Karl, who had halted his simulation; Margaret, slowly rising; and every Bandit Army official and soldier staring at him, their eyes flickering.

Fatty trembled as he grabbed the microphone and activated the fleet command channel.

His voice, tinged with hesitation, echoed inside each silent Bandit Army warship: ”Shall we fight them?”

”Fight!!!!!!”

The answer was a roaring shout loud enough to engulf the entire universe.
