Counterfeit Hero

The radar detection range of the [Giant Wave. Modified] is a diameter of 250,000 kilometers, and with the release of satellite-style detectors, it can reach a diameter of 360,000 kilometers. The precise detection range is as high as a diameter of 70,000 kilometers! This means that if the general location information of the opponent is known, the battleship can detect the opponent’s trace 50,000 kilometers in advance. When entering the combat area and precisely capturing the opponent, it also has an advantage of 20,000 kilometers.

The electronic interference intensity of the [Giant Wave. Modified] is Level 7, the attack system is rated Level 7, the defense system is Level 6, and the propulsion system and power system are Level 7 and Level 8, respectively.

Judging from the data, the [Giant Wave. Modified] seems to have only a one or two level advantage in various systems, but in modern warfare, this one or two level advantage equates to nearly overwhelming combat power in the starry sky!

Take the defense system, for example. The energy shield of a Level 4 defense system will collapse when energy attacks reach 800 nodes. A Level 6 energy shield can withstand up to 1,200 nodes.

In combat, when the [Giant Wave. Modified] has 400 nodes remaining, an ordinary [Giant Wave] would have already collapsed.

This is just a simple defense comparison. With the addition of an attack system that is two levels higher, plus the advantage of electronic systems and radar for early detection locking, the main cannon of an ordinary [Giant Wave] might only be able to fire twice before being sent to hell by the [Giant Wave. Modified].

Energy shields can be restored.

Just knowing this makes it clear that using one [Giant Wave. Modified] to destroy three or four ordinary [Giant Waves] is not a fantasy. In fact, in tests by the Binart military, one [Giant Wave. Modified] utilized terrain and electronic systems, and radar system advantages to destroy six ordinary [Giant Waves].

The same scenario has been repeated with aircraft carriers, cruisers, and destroyers.

Although identical looking, the Royal Elephant-class Fleet is actually completely different from an ordinary fleet; it’s a Super Fleet. This is the reason Hanfrey dared to attack the Douglas Fleet, which held a terrain advantage, with two Royal Elephant-class Fleets without any support, and was so confident.

Individual battleship and fleet combat are completely different.

Hanfrey considered the factor that Feiyang Battleships have ten percent higher performance than ordinary Binart battleships, as well as the terrain advantage of the Feiyang Fleet and Douglas’s command skills. Yet, he fully underestimated just how resilient this Feiyang Fleet was!

In the previous hundreds of hours of combat, the Feiyang 19th Group Fleet not only utilized terrain to resist step by step, dragging themselves into the mire of positional warfare but also used infiltration ambushes, locally using the many against the few, keeping their battle damage ratio at 1 to 1.7! Even now, the Feiyang Fleet has not collapsed. Their rearguard fleet fights as if staking their lives.

Is this still the Feiyang that, in every corner of the human world, boasts of its military advantages to bully the small, often pushing allies to the front?!

Just based on this, Douglas is worthy to be counted among the Great Generals!

However, no matter how resilient the wolf is, it won’t be a match for the lion!

Hanfrey’s fingers swiftly moved over the tactical computer. The cursor, like scattered beans on the ground, rolled messily across the screen. When the last twenty or so Feiyang Battleships retreated into the asteroid belt, he clearly saw an opening!

An exquisite gap, close to the left of the asteroid belt, offering an opportunity for a full-on pursuit breakthrough and encircling maneuver!

”News just in from the Hidden Blade Fleet.” On the battleship corridor leading to the operations room, Fang Xiang pointed to the document handed to Fatty and said, ”General Russell launched a lightning strike sixteen hours ago, defeating a small Jiepeng detachment at the Bermuda Star System Jump Point and has laid a large number of air mines in the Jump Channel leading from Rodbia Star to the Jump Point. Now, they’ve completed the second jump and are navigating towards the Longbow Star System Jump Point.”

Fatty nodded and walked into the operations room: ”How long until the Hanfrey Fleet reaches the Chaotic Stone Zone?!”

”The First Fleet has completed battle readiness preparations, and the Hanfrey Fleet’s vanguard is thirty-six thousand kilometers away from us. If the Feiyang Fleet continues resisting at the current intensity, the estimated time of arrival for the Hanfrey Fleet is...” On the command room’s front wall communication screen, Chekov was quickly operating the tactical computer, ”.....twenty-five minutes.”

”Twenty-five minutes!” Fatty checked the time and turned to the second communication screen: ”Hayreddin?”

The pirate leader on the screen was eager to respond before Fatty even asked his question: ”The Second Fleet’s battle readiness preparations are complete, ready to strike at any moment!”

”Good!” Fatty nodded and turned to look at Carl, who was following behind, full of excitement and eager to fight. ”Reconnaissance ship, have you located the enemy’s flagship?!”

”Not yet!” Carl reluctantly shook his large head: ”Reconnaissance Ship No. 2 and Reconnaissance Ship No. 3 have just entered the detection area. The enemy’s electronic interference capability is strong; the reconnaissance ships need time to conduct signal capture analysis! However...”

Fatty listened to Carl’s report while examining the warship position map on the command system.

The Bandit Army Fleet had already entered the position before the Feiyang 19th Group Fleet entered the channel.
