Counterfeit Hero

If this fleet had stealthily moved from the Southeast Main Channel to the Longbow Star System only recently, no one would believe it. Such a claim is as ridiculous as a pig flying in the sky. The Feiyang Fleet is not a pig, but even if they were a fly, it would be absolutely impossible for them to slip into the Longbow Star System unnoticed right under the noses of the Western Alliance forces covering the channel.

The only possibility is that this fleet was already at its hiding location when the Mars Front Army of the Fei Alliance appeared.

At that time, the battle between the Suss Empire and the Chuckna Republic at Resk was at its peak, and neither side could control the Resk Star System. Meanwhile, in the Southeast Main Channel, because the Sussa Army had dispatched four A-level fleets to support the Resk Star System, they couldn’t exert full control over the channel. This gave the Fei Alliance an opportunity. Their Mars Front Army entered the main channel with great fanfare during that time.

Counting the days on one’s fingers, everyone has to be astonished by the deep planning of the Feiyang Military God. This is a classic surprise attack that will be recorded in the annals of history. Its classic nature lies not in how the fleet commander orchestrated the ambush or achieved victory, but in how Hastings had already predicted the Southeast War Situation several tens of days before and set up the ambush.

When both sides were simultaneously escalating the battle in the Southeast Battle Zone, this ambush was enough to disrupt all of Western Alliance’s strategic steps.

Losing the Longbow Star System is equivalent to losing the Southeast Main Channel. The two Jiepeng Fleets and six Suss Fleets still in the channel would then be like mice in a pipe, without supplies or support. Under the situation where the Fei Alliance Eastern Alliance was formed and Chuckna launched a fierce counterattack on the Resk Star System, these Western Alliance fleets could face clearance by the Fei Alliance Fleet at any time.

Hastings struck right at the heart. The Saleria Longbow Star System has become the weak point of the Western Alliance. As long as this point is seized, it wouldn’t take long for Western Alliance to lose the initiative in this increasingly escalating battle.

The spacecraft slowly landed, and a noticeable tremor was felt on the ground.

Spencer saw Mikami Yuto’s face, cold as ice. He sighed silently, admitting that the Feiyang Fleet’s surprise attack came really at the wrong time.

This time, Sobel dispatched a United Fleet composed of ships from the Binart Empire and the Desic Empire to settle in the Southeast Battle Zone, with a clear purpose.

Sobel believes that the Three Great Empires in the Southeast are fully capable of defeating the Chuckna Republic, and by bringing two Elephant-level Fleets to reside in Hanfrey in the Southeast Star Domain, it serves not merely to assist in battle but also to supervise the Three Great Empires.

Regarding the Western Alliance forces’ headquarters extending its reach to the Southeast Star Domain, Mikami Yuto clearly didn’t feel pleased, as it was his territory and he didn’t need anyone to meddle. However, the fact that Blue Stone Star was ambushed shattered his pride to pieces. It was a fiery slap in the face! A complete ridicule of Mikami Yuto’s control over the Southeast War Situation!

For the dozen hours from the ambush of Blue Stone Star until now, Mikami Yuto had locked himself in the operations room studying maps.

Spencer understood that this never-defeated General had resolved to retaliate. He wouldn’t allow the Feiyang Fleet to leave intact, nor let the Binart people smile derisively in his presence. A report requesting to mobilize domestic reserve units had already been issued as a special order directly to the Military Department, and not even the Jiepeng Emperor could stop Mikami Yuto’s retaliation. This was his territory, and he would make everyone shut up!

How many can bear Mikami Yuto’s anger?

Spencer involuntarily shivered; as he knew, none in the past decade could.

The spaceship’s automatic door opened, revealing Hanfrey, dressed in a dark green Binart Interstellar Navy uniform, standing at the doorway.

He was a man in his thirties, tall and straight, with brown curly hair and always smiling black eyes. Compared to his Admiral rank on his shoulders, his age was extraordinarily young. Yet, no one dared to belittle him. This young Duke of the Binart Empire certainly didn’t become an Admiral through nepotism. As a leading young military figure in the universe, his fame was nearly equal to Sobel’s. At least Spencer knew that several female officers he knew were admirers of this Duke.

Young, amiable, though not considered very handsome, he was clean and genteel. With the title of Duke, his own castle and industry, a high-achieving Military Academy graduate, earning the rank of Admiral through accumulated military merit in ten years... such a man is a treasure in any woman’s eyes.

As the rumbling of the warship’s thrust devices just stopped, Hanfrey had already smiled and stepped forward to Mikami Yuto.

”Welcome!” Mikami Yuto’s pale face showed a faint smile.

”Thank you.” Hanfrey’s smile was charming. The quickened pulsing chest of a female secretary standing nearby demonstrated the Duke’s allure to women.

”Let’s go, to the command center first.” Mikami Yuto adjusted the powerful yet old-fashioned glasses on his nose, turned and walked away, while subtly observing Hanfrey, he asked, ”General Hanfrey comes to Rodbia for...”
