Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 400, I’ll Count to Three, Then You’ll Die

Translator: Silavin

Loong Erhu was very confident in his Physical Resistance. He knew that Lu Fan had a Black Dragon with fearsome powers  – such that even Loong Xing was no match for it.

According to Loong Xing, that Black Dragon had an overpowered Skill that could completely immobilize him for a long duration, leaving him helpless.

However, Loong Erhu was not concerned about this Skill.

As a Golden Monk, he had extremely strong Resistance against Crowd Control Effects.

Now that he had activated all his Buffs, Crowd Control Skills would have no effect on him.

He was naturally confident that even if Lu Fan summoned the Black Dragon, it would be powerless against him.

Little did he know that Xiao Ye’s Black Dragon Pressure’s Crowd Control Effect was not determined by his Resistance at all. It was entirely decided by the difference in Strength Attributes between the targets and Xiao Ye.

With Xiao Ye’s Attributes, when releasing Black Dragon Pressure, it would not matter if Loong Erhu had a hundred layers of Buffs.

Moreover, letting Lu Fan use three Skills first was completely suicidal. Even with all his Buffs active, if Lu Fan hit him with Magma Burst or Starlight Annihilation, he would be lucky to survive!

Lu Fan had never seen such a reckless person before and could not help but laugh. He certainly never encountered such a request in his life. To Lu Fan, it was no different from putting one’s life on a platter.

“Fine,” Lu Fan agreed, crossing his legs as he sat. “Since you’re letting me go first, I won’t hold back. I’ll sit right here in this chair and count to three. If you’re still alive after I finish counting, I’ll cradle my head and roll out of the Western Border!”

“You’ll kill me just by sitting in a chair and counting to three!?” Loong Erhu could not make sense of Lu Fan’s words, unable to imagine how he could be killed within three counts.

However, he grinned, completely confident in his Physical Resistance. “Well, I’d really like to see how you’ll kill me!”

“Too bad, you won’t live to see it.” Lu Fan shook his head with a smile, then held up a finger. “One!”

At the first count, Loong Erhu was on full alert, focusing all his attention on Lu Fan.

Though confident in his Physical Resistance, he knew there were many strange things in this world.

As an expert Player, Loong Erhu may have sounded arrogant, but he would never dare underestimate Lu Fan.

However, after the first count, nothing happened.

Lu Fan remained seated, showing no sign of taking out any items.

Loong Erhu heightened his Perception to the maximum but detected no Assassin Type Players from the Ye Family in his vicinity.

“Two!” At this point, Lu Fan held up a second finger.

The hall was completely silent, watching Lu Fan’s slightly smiling face and Loong Erhu’s serious expression.

By now, the Loong Family members, including Loong Xing, were basically certain that Lu Fan was just bluffing.

Loong Erhu had once withstood three Skills from the Huang Family Elder without a scratch. Now, with all his Buffs active and on full alert, even five Fourth Profession Assassins would not be able to kill him!

How could this young man claim he could make Loong Erhu drop dead just by counting to three?

How would Lu Fan save face when Loong Erhu was still unharmed after the count?

Lu Fan paid no attention to the Loong Family members’ barely contained eagerness to see him fail, and simply held up a third finger.

Just then, a red light flashed abruptly, passing through Loong Erhu’s body and piercing through it.

The red light then mysteriously vanished, as if it had never appeared.

At this moment, Loong Erhu seemed to sense something unusual and his expression suddenly changed from alertness to disbelief.

Only then did Lu Fan leisurely speak the third count. “Three!”

The hall returned to silence.

The golden light still flickered on Loong Erhu’s body as usual, showing no signs of having been attacked.

Seeing nothing happen after Lu Fan’s count of three, the Loong Family members all burst into laughter.

Especially Loong Xing, who was particularly pleased to see Lu Fan embarrassed.

“The counting’s done, so what now?” Loong Xing wore an expression of pure amusement as he looked at Lu Fan. “Don’t tell me you planned to kill my Second Uncle just by sitting in that chair and bragging? Hilarious. Just because you have one Pet Dragon, you dare come to the Western Border and act tough!?”

“Second Uncle, why don’t you let me handle this guy instead? I can get revenge for what happened in the Dragon Capital. If he summons that Black Dragon, you just need to keep it busy. Without that Black Dragon’s Crowd Control Skill, I will be able to kill him with one hand!”

“…Second Uncle?” Seeing Loong Erhu not immediately respond, Loong Xing looked toward him in confusion.

This one look sent him tumbling to the ground in fear, his previous arrogance completely gone.

Because now, Loong Erhu’s layers of Buffs, that golden light, had instantly disappeared. And his body seemed to have been cleanly cut by some sharp weapon. His upper and lower body were slowly separated, and were sliding apart!

Blood and organs spilled from Loong Erhu’s wound as blood also gushed from his mouth, his face contorting in absolute agony.

*Thud!* With a soft sound, Loong Erhu’s upper body slid to the ground, followed by his lower half.

A clean cut was clearly visible on his body, splitting him in two along where the red light had flashed.

Clearly, Loong Erhu had been killed in a single strike.

Loong Xing and all the Loong Family members erupted in chaos, thrown into panic.

They could never have imagined that after Lu Fan counted to three, Loong Erhu would actually die!

How had he done it? He clearly had not moved from his chair, yet he had instantly killed a Level 98 Fourth Profession Player!

And it was Loong Erhu, who was known for his Physical Resistance!

Loong Xing trembled all over, remaining stunned on the ground for a long while before hastily ordering his followers. “What are you all standing around for?! Hurry up and Heal him! Where are the Priests!? Are you all useless!?”

Among the entourage were three Priests.

These three Priests had only just recovered from shock like Loong Xing, but looking at Loong Erhu on the ground, they all responded helplessly. “Young Master, the… Your Uncle had been instantly killed, casting Heal on a corpse won’t help…”

“This… this…” Loong Xing’s scalp tingled as he felt his entire worldview shatter.

[Second Uncle… he got instantly killed while having all his Buffs active!? What kind of joke is this!?]
