Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 401, What Were You Laughing About Earlier?

Translator: Silavin

The one who struck just now was naturally the Shadow Dragon King, Ye Sha.

Still, it had to be said that Loong Erhu’s defence was astonishing. Without directly engaging with him, Lu Fan could already sense how exceptional it was.

Unfortunately, his powerful defence and Enhancement Buffs were like paper against Ye Sha. This was, after all, an Assassin Type Pet Dragon!

The Passive Skill, Shadow Dragon Blade, allowed Ye Sha to ignore 90% of the opponent’s defence. At that point, he could easily break through all shields. Therefore, no matter how powerful the opponent’s Defence Skills were, they held no meaning towards Ye Sha. This Shadow Dragon King could just as easily instantly kill them.

As such, Loong Erhu could not even withstand a single attack, Shadow Assassination, from Ye Sha.

Loong Xing and the other Loong Family members were all shocked in place, having no idea how Loong Erhu’s death had occurred.

Some Third Profession Players Archers had guessed that there must be some kind of extremely powerful Assassin present. who had instantly killed Loong Erhu.

They immediately activated their Eagle Eye Skills, wanting to check if there were any Assassins lurking nearby, but they found nothing!

Ordinary Third Profession Players could not even see ordinary Monsters from Shadow Isle, let alone Ye Sha who had just attacked.

Forget about Third Profession Players – even Fourth Profession Archers would not be able to uncover where Ye Sha was currently located.

To them, Ye Sha was an Assassin they could never spot. This was precisely why Loong Erhu’s death appeared so strange. It appeared to have happened as if by Divine intervention.

Loong Xing had thought that with Loong Erhu backing him up on this visit to the Ye Family, he could take revenge for when Lu Fan had beaten him up.

However, before Lu Fan had even moved from his chair, Loong Erhu was instantly killed. Naturally, fear gripped Loong Xing’s heart, tightening it till it felt like his blood had frozen in place.

If even Loong Erhu was so easily killed, would that not make killing him as easy as lifting a finger for Lu Fan!?

Loong Xing valued his life – having finally become a Fourth Profession Player, he naturally did not want to die in such a place.

Almost the instant he came to his senses, Loong Xing disregarded everything else and turned to flee from this extremely strange lair, that was the Ye Family residence. He knew he needed to escape back to the Loong Family for any hope of survival.

However, just as he was about to escape, above the heads of the Loong Family members, suddenly, countless wind blades exploded forth without any warning. They instantly engulfed all the Loong Family members.

These wind blades varied in size but were extremely sharp. Furthermore, since it was from ‘him’. how could these Third Profession Players from the Loong Family withstand them?

Caught completely off guard, everyone was hit, being cut apart by the wind blades, each dying with miserable screams of despair.

Of course, there was one exception – that being Loong Xing.

After Ye Sha unleashed Shadow Advance, the wind blades densely came down slashing. However, they all strangely avoided Loong Xing.

As a Fourth Profession Player, Loong Xing’s battle senses were sharp. He could sense that the other party had intentionally spared his life, with all those Skills falling just around him and never directly at him.

However, if he were to move even so slightly, he might not necessarily remain unharmed.

Loong Xing’s whole body trembled as he stood rooted in place, clutching his head. He now showed none of the bearing of a Fourth Profession Player.

Soon, the Shadow Advance Skill ended. Apart from Loong Xing, all the Loong Family members had met violent deaths, leaving the scene in complete chaos. The stench of blood was so potent it made Ye Wuxian and several Ye Family members furrow their brows.

However, they felt gratified. After all, this might have been them if not for Lu Fan. The young man had done what they had always wanted to do but could not do.

At this time, Loong Xing heard the Skill stop and finally raised his head, only to see the ground littered with corpses.

“This… this…” Loong Xing’s body trembled even more violently. He never imagined that coming to the Ye Family today would result in such an outcome.

At this moment, Lu Fan remained completely calm as he slowly stood up and walked step by step toward Loong Xing, saying as he walked, “Is this all your Loong Family can do? To think you still dare come bully the Ye Family when you are this weak. Earlier, when I said I wanted all your Loong Family’s resources, you and your people were laughing without any regard for my word, right? In fact, you seemed really happy at that time. So, tell me, what exactly were you laughing about, huh? Did you think I lacked the ability to do what I said?”

“In that case, let me ask you, do you still think that way?” As he spoke, Lu Fan had already walked in front of Loong Xing.

Loong Xing looked up at Lu Fan, his whole body trembling so much he could barely speak.

“I…” He had barely uttered one word when he felt his whole body turn ice cold.

Especially at his neck, it felt so cold his entire body seemed to freeze.

This was not caused by low temperature, but rather the threat of death that made his whole body feel like it had fallen into an ice cave.

Loong Xing instinctively looked toward his neck, and discovered that a sharp blade was now pressed against it.

Although this blade was merely touching his skin, it had easily cut into it.

Loong Xing had absolutely no doubt that with just a slight wave of this blade, his head would immediately fall to the ground.

He gulped hard and struggled to move his eyeballs to look up along the blade.

He then discovered that this was not actually a blade – rather, it was the wing of an enormous beast behind him!

That enormous beast was a Black Dragon he had never seen before. This Black Dragon’s entire body had scales sharp as knives, and while not particularly mighty in build, it gave others the feeling of meeting a Divine Weapon that could cut through anything!

Most terrifying was that its body lurked within a faint mist of abyssal black. Its entire form was ethereal, like an Assassin about to enter Concealment but still remain slightly exposed.

Clearly, it definitely had Concealment Skills. It was now clear that Loong Erhu’s death must have been it’s doing.

Loong Xing’s eyes widened as his scalp tingled with fear.

[What is that!? A Dragon Assassin!? How could there be such a Dragon Species in this world!?]

Not just him, but the other Ye Family members, except for Ye Wuxian, were all dumbfounded at the sight.

“Don’t bother looking anymore. I just wanted to let those of the Loong Family die with some understanding.” Lu Fan’s voice drifted over.

As Lu Fan finished speaking, Ye Sha vanished once again.

At this moment, no one present could sense Ye Sha’s existence, as if everything just now had been an illusion.

But everyone knew this was all real – that Assassin Dragon concealed in the black mist must still be here.

Loong Xing was on the verge of breaking down. His legs gave way as he suddenly fell to his knees with a *thud*!

This time, Xiao Ye did not cast Black Dragon Pressure. Even so, Loong Xing still knelt.

“I beg you, don’t kill me…” Loong Xing knelt and prostrated on the ground, not even daring to raise his head.

Lu Fan smiled and said. “Don’t worry, I spared your life last time, and like before, I won’t kill you today. If I wanted to, you would have been slaughtered along with the others by now!”
