Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 391, Shadow Assassination, Terrifyingly Powerful!

Translator: Silavin

The Shadow Dragon General now viewed Lu Fan as an invader, and emanated murderous intent.

Riding atop an Earth Dragon that had been transformed into white bone, he swung his greatsword, sending a slashing attack flying toward Lu Fan.

This strike was merely a probe, naturally unable to harm Lu Fan, as it was easily blocked by a Dragon Qi Defence.

In truth, Dragon Qi Defence wasn’t even necessary – with Lu Fan’s current Agility Attribute points, dodging this attack was extremely simple.

Seeing the Shadow Dragon General had made his move, Lu Fan did not hold back either, his eyes narrowing slightly as he prepared to engage.

“Shadow Concealment!” Lu Fan commanded, and dense black shadow mist rose from the Shadow Dragon King’s body.

Subsequently, the Shadow Dragon King and Lu Fan vanished in midair, their forms disappearing completely.

From a distance, Ye Wuxian activated her Perception Skills at full power but was unable to detect Lu Fan’s presence. Naturally, the Shadow Dragon General was also unable to do so.

Not only had Lu Fan and the Shadow Dragon King vanished, but Xiao Cui above their heads and the continuously charging Dragon Qis had all disappeared as well, as if they had vanished from this world entirely.

Though the Shadow Dragon General could not sense Lu Fan’s presence, he knew Lu Fan was still there. He held his greatsword at the ready, fully alert, trying to locate Lu Fan’s position.

At that moment, the Shadow Dragon General suddenly suffered a heavy blow as streams of Dragon Qi materialized from thin air, directly striking his body.

This Dragon Qi had clearly also been concealed – though it existed, no one could sense its presence until the instant it struck the Shadow Dragon General’s body.

By the time the attacks landed on the Shadow Dragon General’s body, it was too late for him to either block or dodge.

Continuous streams of Dragon Qi repeatedly bombarded the Shadow Dragon General, causing some Damage, though not fatal.

The Shadow Dragon General could only passively endure the attacks, which made him increasingly agitated. He then held his greatsword horizontally, and the Earth Dragon beneath him spewed forth three white bone shields that continuously rotated around him, somewhat resembling Jade Shield.

This skill was not unfamiliar to Lu Fan – it was merely a Defence Skill that would help the Shadow Dragon General absorb some Damage.

After establishing this Defence Skill, the Shadow Dragon General began launching indiscriminate attacks in all directions, attempting to force Lu Fan out of hiding.

Sword Qi burst forth in all directions, while the Bone Dragon beneath him continuously spewed Dragon Breath, attacking the surroundings.

Lu Fan could easily weave through the gaps between these attacks if he wanted to dodge, entirely avoiding being hit.

However, Lu Fan did not even need to do this.

He directly activated the Shadow Dragon King’s Skill – Shadow Cloak, which enveloped him and the Shadow Dragon King in tangible black shadow mist.

This black shadow mist was remarkable – all of the Shadow Dragon General’s Attack Skills would pass directly through Lu Fan when hitting the Shadow Cloak, unable to cause any Damage whatsoever.

It was as if Lu Fan and the Shadow Dragon King had entered a spatial crevice, completely immune to all attacks.

Previously, Lu Fan had not paid much attention to the Shadow Cloak Skill, but now it appeared to be practically a Divine Skill.

Once activated, it practically granted a state of Invulnerability – even if the opponent released indiscriminate attacks, Lu Fan need not fear any of them.

Using this Skill, the Shadow Dragon King could easily approach any enemy and then unleash Skills to destroy them.

The Shadow Dragon King was unlike typical Assassins, who would be helpless when encountering enemies releasing indiscriminate Area of Effect Skills, since being forced out of Concealment would eliminate the Assassin’s advantage.

The Shadow Dragon General’s attempt to locate the concealed Lu Fan and Shadow Dragon King was nothing but a pipe dream.

Lu Fan now understood that in Shadow Concealment, any Skills would similarly be hidden, undetectable by others.

He also knew that Shadow Cloak was a Divine Skill for avoiding Damage.

The next thing to test was just how powerful the Shadow Dragon King’s Attacks were.

Among the Shadow Dragon King’s Skills, the one focused on killing in a single strike was undoubtedly the Single Target Skill – Shadow Assassination.

Dealing 1600% Additional Damage and inflicting Bleeding and Crippled Effects upon hitting, it was definitely incredibly powerful.

However, how this Skill’s performance in actual combat still needed to be tested.

Lu Fan signaled the Shadow Dragon King to use Shadow Assassination directly on the Shadow Dragon General.

At this point, Lu Fan and the Shadow Dragon King were still in midair, not far from the Shadow Dragon General, they maintained some distance…

When Lu Fan activated the Skill, in an instant, both man and Dragon teleported behind the Shadow Dragon General.

Lu Fan noticed that even he could not properly perceive how the Shadow Dragon King executed the attack. The one of his Dragon Wings briefly flashed with a red light, and then snap. This red light, like an afterimage, pierced through the Shadow Dragon General’s body.

Subsequently, the Shadow Dragon General, who had been attacking and releasing Skills, suddenly stopped moving.

A moment later, the upper bodies of both the Shadow Dragon General and the Earth Dragon beneath him began to slide off before crashing down.

And the corpses displayed an extremely smooth cut.

This cut had sliced through the Shadow Dragon General’s body and exited through his Mount’s body below, splitting this Boss like a cucumber cut in half. It was a vivid death, with bifurcated corpses.

Instantly, silence fell over the area.

Watching this scene from afar, Ye Wuxian was so shocked she could not close her mouth.

Because from her perspective, Lu Fan had first entered a Concealment, then when the Boss tried to locate Lu Fan’s position, a red flash appeared and the Boss was immediately cut in half.

Without saying anything, she knew this red flash must have been Lu Fan’s handiwork.

The Shadow Dragon General was a Level 95 Diamond Grade Boss – even as a Fourth Profession Player, she would need to team up with other Players of the same Level to deal with him.

Yet, Lu Fan had actually insta-killed him with a single Skill.

[How is this even fair!?]

More importantly, even after attacking, Lu Fan remained in Concealment without revealing himself.

This was absolutely ridiculous, because even Fourth Profession Change Assassins could not maintain Concealment after killing someone. Therefore, typical Assassin Type Hidden Profession Players focused on killing in one strike. If they could not kill the enemy in one hit, they would find themselves caught in danger.

But Lu Fan was different – after killing someone, others still could not detect his location. Who would dare to provoke such a monster?

He was only killing a Boss here, but if he were killing people, they probably would not even know how they died after that red flash appeared.
