Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 358, Sister-in-Law is Coming Too?

Translator: Silavin

The Teleportation Scroll sent from Feather Country was not limited by the number of people that it could send through, but by the number of uses.

This meant that Lu Fan could bring others along to Shadow Isle.

According to Andrei, Shadow Isle provided a rich amount of Experience Points, and an abundance of Monsters. This made it an excellent good spot for Levelling Up.

However, after some thought, Lu Fan decided not to bring Jian Ying and the others.

After all, Shadow Isle was a place even Fourth Profession Players struggled to explore. Such a dangerous environment was not suitable for Power Leveling his companions.

So Lu Fan planned to go to Shadow Isle with just Andrei.

However, Lu Fan’s plans ultimately fell through because on the day of departure, Ye Wuxian showed up fully equipped for battle. She clearly intends to accompany Lu Fan to Shadow Isle.

Lu Fan was quite surprised by this, not expecting Senior Sister to want to come along.

In response, she just smiled playfully at him, stating was it obvious she would participate?

While Andrei had indeed sought out Lu Fan to discuss cooperation, that did not mean only Lu Fan needed to go. Otherwise, why would Feather Country send a Teleportation Scroll that allowed more than one person, instead of a more economical single-person Teleportation Scroll?

By convention, when both parties explore new territories together, they should deploy matching manpower.

While Lu Fan was indeed very strong, having just him alone might seem somewhat lacking in sincerity.

Since Ye Wuxian was a Level 96 Fourth Profession Player, having her accompany him to Shadow Isle would: one, make Andrei’s Family feel more assured; two, show greater sincerity; three, make the venture have a higher chance of success.

Ye Wuxian also highlighted if there were any good Mission Rewards later, Lu Fan could directly ask Andrei for them.

Ye Wuxian’s words seemed reasonable.

However, Lu Fan felt that Ye Wuxian was actually just worried about him going to Feather Country alone, fearing something similar to what happened in Extremistis Country might happen again.

Perhaps, she would feel more at ease if she was with him.

After thinking it over, Lu Fan did not turn her down, feeling it was fine to bring her along.

She was a Fourth Profession Player with the ability to take care of herself, unlike Qin Qiu and the others. Since they had already decided to go to the Western Border together at a later date, going to Shadow Isle together was not a bad idea.

So, Lu Fan ripped the Teleportation Scroll and, after saying goodbye to his Auntie and the others, he went through the Portal with Ye Wuxian.

Arriving at the other end of the Transport Array, Lu Fan immediately smelled a fresh sea breeze. At the same time, the sound of waves came from nearby, which was pleasing to the ear.

Looking around, Lu Fan found himself at a port, with a huge harbor to the left where ships of various sizes were docked.

Further away was a harbor city that looked like an ocean of steel, distinctly characteristic of Feather Country.

To the right was an endless ocean, with waves rolling far into the distance.

Though Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian were at a port, they could still see the coastline from where they stood.

The coastline stretched to the horizon, with craggy reefs and sandy beaches, making for quite a nice view.

Ye Wuxian looked at the distant beach and stretched, saying. “This is actually my first time coming to a coast in Feather Country. Though their beaches aren’t as clean as South Country’s, it is still a nice vacation spot. How about after we return from Shadow Isle, if we have time, we rent a seaside room by the beach here and relax for a couple of days?”

[Relax?] Lu Fan glanced at Senior Sister, who was stretching. Her figure was clearly outlined. He could feel his nose getting warm.

He quickly steadied himself and added. “That might be difficult. Andrei said just going to Shadow Isle would take a week. Counting travel time and time needed on Shadow Isle, we’ll probably need to head straight to the Western Border once we return.”

Ye Wuxian was not disappointed by this and just smiled at him. “That’s fine, we can always fly back here after returning from the Western Border.”

“Hmm… if we’re flying anyway, we might as well go to South Country, right? You did say the beaches there are better.”

Come to think of it, Lu Fan’s first long break at Dragon Capital University should be coming up. [As the weather cooled, going to South Country during my break would mean I could escape the cold and play for a while. Not a bad idea..]

As they were chatting, Andrei’s voice came from afar. “Brother Lu, Sister-in-law, we’re over here!”

Hearing the term ‘Sister-in-law’, Ye Wuxian’s face turned bright red and she grinded her teeth, looking like she wanted to go and punch Andrei.

However, she ultimately chose not to act, nor did she refute the title. Though, it was not clear if she was accepting it or just felt it pointless to argue with that stubborn mule called Andrei.

Seeing Ye Wuxian both embarrassed and angry like this was quite endearing. It made Lu Fan knowingly smile.

Following the principle of not passing up on a good opportunity, Lu Fan did not correct Andrei either. He just turned to look in the direction Andrei’s voice had come from.

Andrei was waving by the port’s edge, while walking toward Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian. Behind him were three people, all appearing over forty, with extremely impressive equipment. They were definitely expert Players.

They were likely the three of the four expert Players Andrei had mentioned, They would most likely accompany him to Shadow Isle.

Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian walked over to meet Andrei and his group, quickly coming face to face.

Andrei firmly shook Lu Fan’s hand, grinning as he said. “Brother Lu, welcome to Feather Country! By the way, since you came with Sister-in-law, does that mean she’s also coming to Shadow Isle?”

Lu Fan smiled and nodded. “Yeah, Senior Sister is coming with me. She’s a Level 96 Fourth Profession Player. Not only will she not slow us down on Shadow Isle, she’ll definitely be a huge help.”

Hearing such a young and beautiful woman was a Level 96 Fourth Profession Player, the three escorts beside Andrei were shocked. Their bodies tensed up, clearly extremely wary of Ye Wuxian.

Andrei noticed this and, being a very straightforward person who hated mutual suspicion among allies, turned and warned. “Lu Fan is like a Little Brother to me, and this beautiful lady is my Sister-in-law. They’re one of us, so relax. If we’re already suspicious of each other now, how can we cooperate on Shadow Isle?”

The three looked at each other and nodded/ “Yes, Young Master!”

With that, the wariness on their faces faded away.
