Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 374, Lightning Vortex, Absolutely Terrifying!

Translator: Silavin

The Lightning Clouds’ attacks continued relentlessly, releasing countless bolts of lightning that affected all the Monsters present, many being instantly killed.

No matter how much their Level and Grades were raised by the Shadow Excavator’s Skills, they were still Monsters from Shadow Isle, making Bao Bao, who excelled at Magic Attack, their natural counter.

These Monsters could not breach Eternal Guardian’s golden barrier, so they naturally turned their attention to Bao Bao.

Thus, all the Monsters outside abandoned Lu Fan’s group and turned to attack Bao Bao.

Bao Bao showed no concern though. In fact, he seemed even more excited upon seeing the Monsters charging at him.

*Ang!* With a Dragon Roar, Bao Bao and his eight Mirror Image Projections simultaneously opened their Dragon Mouths, releasing Roaring Thunder towards the approaching Monsters.

At the same time, his Dragon Claw repeatedly grabbed bright yellow lightning bolts, transforming them into Heaven’s Punishment as he continuously struck them.

Chain Lightning was also mixed in among Bao Bao’s released Skills, rampaging through the Monster groups, each jump causing massive Chain Damage to the Monsters.

This was not even the most terrifying part. The most frightening thing was that as Bao Bao continuously used his Skills, many bright yellow lightning bolts appeared around him, crackling in the air. Any Monster that touched them would immediately trigger an explosion, causing enormous damage. Moreover, these lightning bolts did not immediately disappear after exploding, but instead transformed into finger-thick lightning chains, binding any Monster that had touched the lightning, visibly reducing their Movement Speed.

How could the Shadow Sky Rippers possibly have encountered such an overpowered Skill before?

Caught off guard, all the Monsters within Lightning Boundary were hit. Some Monsters were flying too fast and did not get caught by Bao Bao’s Heavenly Punishment. However, these Monsters would repeatedly touch the lightning in Lightning Boundary and literally blew themselves up.

This did not just apply to the original Bao Bao as his Mirror Image Projections also inherited all of Bao Bao’s Skills. Thus, as they released their Skills, nine Lightning Boundaries formed and merged together.

Some areas were covered by all nine Lightning Boundaries, with bright yellow lightning falling like waterfalls, so numerous it made one’s scalp tingle.

Unfortunate Monsters caught within could not even fly ten metres before being obliterated by the lightning in the Lightning Boundary.

Once the Lightning Boundary appeared, it became like a Forbidden Zone for the Shadow Sky Rippers.

Their most significant upgrade from Shadow Berserkers to Shadow Sky Rippers was their ability to fly at extremely high speeds. However, the faster they flew, the faster they died.

Flying in the Lightning Boundary was like walking through a minefield – surviving one or two explosions might be possible, but who could withstand a barrage of continuous explosions along the way?

At this point, the Lightning Boundary’s Damage to the Shadow Sky Rippers far surpassed Bao Bao’s other Skills.

But, Bao Bao only needed to continuously release Skills to make the lightning within the Lightning Boundary more intense, making these Shadow Sky Rippers suffer even more.

Furthermore, this was not even the end.

As the Lightning Boundaries formed, the nine of them began to rotate, transforming into nine lightning vortexes!

This was Bao Bao’s new Skill, Lightning Vortex!

When this Skill was deployed, the lightning within the Lightning Boundaries continuously rotated. Even if the Shadow Sky Rippers remained stationary, countless lightning bolts would rotate and strike them, subjecting them to bright yellow lightning strikes, Each strike would also apply Lightning Chain’s Slow Effect.

At once, as the Lightning Vortex was activated, the Lightning Boundary’s Damage increased, and the Shadow Sky Rippers in mid-air were struck by lightning and turned into black mist.

Even if some lucky Monsters managed to reach Bao Bao to attack, he had over forty layers of Jade Shield, which were refreshing almost every second.

Thus, the Shadow Sky Rippers could not threaten Bao Bao’s safety, and instead were knocked down by his Heaven’s Punishments.

The death of Shadow Sky Rippers and continuous emergence of cocoons made the shadow mist even thicker. If someone got exposed to this, their Attributes would be completely drained within seconds.

However, Bao Bao, being of the Dragon Race, was Immune to all Debuffs.

Meanwhile, the others were protected by Eternal Guardian and were now not affected by the shadow mist. Therefore, no matter how powerful the shadow mist was, it couldn’t affect them anymore.

Everyone within Eternal Guardian watched the constant lightning strikes outside, all petrified!

Their position happened to be the intersection of nine Lightning Boundaries. Thus, they could closely experience just how terrifying Bao Bao was at full power.

Outside Eternal Guardian, bright yellow lightning continuously struck down like waterfalls. They rotated like vortexes, resembling a lightning tempest that made it impossible to see the Monsters within.

Under such terrifying lightning strikes, how could any Monster possibly survive?

And this was just Lightning Boundary.

Bao Bao’s Lightning Vortex bombardment, plus the supporting attacks of twenty-seven Lightning Clouds, dealt with everything.

Originally, everyone thought Lu Fan’s claim about dealing with so many Shadow Sky Rippers sounded too exaggerated.

But now, it seemed Lu Fan had not exaggerated at all!

With such powerful firepower, he could probably easily handle five times as many Shadow Sky Rippers!

[How is Lu Fan and his Pet Dragons so overpowered!?]

While everyone was shocked speechless, even Lu Fan was internally amazed.

Even he had not expected his Bao Bao’s Damage Output to be so terrifying. He had originally thought that if Bao Bao’s Damage Output was not high enough, he would summon Xing Chen and have her transform into her Galaxy Overlord Form to release Starfall on all the Monsters.

If that still was not enough, he could have Xiao Ye unleash Great Cataclysm.

But now, it was clear Lu Fan had overthinked things.

Bao Bao alone was enough to handle these Monsters.

Outside Eternal Guardian, lightning continuously thundered, slaughtering the Shadow Sky Rippers.

No matter how the Shadow Excavator used its Skills to summon more Shadow Sky Rippers, it was futile. All the Minions just became Experience Points for Lu Fan’s group.

The Experience Points from thousands of Level 95 Gold Grade Bosses were incredibly abundant.

Moreover, since Lu Fan was the Main Damage Dealer, he received most of the Experience Points, making this the best feast of Experience Points for him!

Golden light flashed repeatedly over Lu Fan and his Pet Dragons as they each Leveled up.

Now, Xiao Cui had reached Level 40, and Lu Fan sensed her Attributes had increased significantly. He immediately guessed that after advancing from Level 39 to 40, Xiao Cui must have grown considerably.

Looking closer, that was indeed the case – not only had all of Xiao Cui’s Skill Levels increased, but she had also learned a powerful new Skill!
