Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 359, Even Fourth Profession Players Can Be a Burden

Looking at them, the three should be expert Players employed by Andrei’s Family rather than core Family members. Otherwise they would not be so obedient to Andrei.

This showed that Andrei’s Family was indeed extraordinary. After all, these three Fourth Profession Players were definitely not even their core combat strength.

From this perspective, Andrei’s Family should have six or more Fourth Profession Players, far surpassing the Jin Family.

If Andrei truly challenged a third-tier Ancient Noble Family of Dragon Country, he likely would not need to fear them.

Andrei briefly introduced the people behind him to Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian. Indeed, these three were top experts of his Family, around Level 91-92. Though inferior to the Five National Guardians, they were still powerful Fourth Profession Players.

Among the three, one was a Fourth Profession Mage, a Frost Venerable, one was a Fourth Profession Archer, a Demonic Feather, and one was a Fourth Profession Warrior, a Destroyer.

Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian also briefly introduced themselves and their Profession Characteristics. This was so the six people had some understanding of each other.

Besides the six of them, according to Andrei, there was also a fully staffed twenty-person squad on the warship, all Third Profession Players of High Levels.

Fourth Profession Players were as rare as phoenix feathers and unicorn horns in this world. Thus, even Andrei’s Family could not provide too many of them.

Therefore, Third Profession Players were the backbone of the operation.

A fully staffed squad of twenty Third Profession Players could display considerable Combat Power, potentially helping Lu Fan’s group explore Shadow Isle more easily.

However, after some thought, Lu Fan told Andrei that when landing on Shadow Isle, these Third Profession Players should not come along with them.

Shadow Isle was particular, having both Monsters that were stealthy and a continuous Debuff which reduces ones’ Attributes. If there were too many people, not only would they not help, but they would become a burden to everyone.

With just six people, Lu Fan was confident he could look after everyone. However, if there were more people added, he could not guarantee there would not be casualties.

Andrei was very receptive to Lu Fan’s suggestion. Directly stating that in that case, they would have the Third Profession Players station outside Shadow Isle rather than following the group in.

Lu Fan nodded in satisfaction. He had no other requirements.

Still, Lu Fan could tell that the three Fourth Profession Players beside Andrei were clearly displeased with his suggestion. They did not dare say anything though, not wanting to offend Lu Fan and Andrei given their Brotherly relationship.

Lu Fan did not take it to heart. He believes that in their position this reaction was normal.

A Second Profession Change person saying Third Profession Players were a burden and not letting a full squad of Third Profession Players follow along was inconceivable. After all, what qualifications did a Second Profession Player have to consider Third Profession Players a burden? Even the top ranked in the National Trial would not have such rights, right?

Lu Fan did not say much about this, as explaining right now would be pointless. After all, once they reached Shadow Isle, these three would understand why he said Third Profession Players were a burden.

In fact, if he was really being arrogant, he would have directly stated that these Fourth Profession Players were also a burden.

After chatting briefly, Andrei led the way, taking Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian to their Family’s prepared warship to set out together for Shadow Isle.

Although mentally prepared, Lu Fan was still surprised when he saw Andrei’s warship.

After all, what Andrei prepared was indeed a warship.

It was over a hundred metres long, not much different in appearance from warships in Lu Fan’s previous life. It just had fewer weapons and more Enchanted Arrays. It still had attack capabilities, as the Arrays could dish out two types of attacks: Magic Attacks and Physical Attacks.

According to Andrei, this warship was extraordinary, a treasure even in their Family.

The warships of this world were made by Engineers using Crafting Recipes. The materials required alone cost an astronomical sum.

It was worth mentioning that while Engineer was also a Lifestyle Specialised Profession, it was completely different from Cook, Blacksmith and others.

Engineers could be called a Noble Profession among Lifestyle Specialised Professions. Actually becoming an Engineer was even more sought after than becoming a Hidden Profession, as countless Forces and countries would immediately try to recruit the person.

The number of Engineers a country had directly determined whether that country was powerful.

Because the devices made by Engineers could sometimes even threaten Fourth Profession Players.

Take the warship before Lu Fan – even with just ordinary people aboard, by operating the warship, they could contend with a full squad of Third Profession Players.

Of course, against Fourth Profession Players, this warship was not enough. After all, Ye Wuxian had the glorious record of sinking three warships with one strike.

Regardless, such a large warship would definitely sail very smoothly, making the week-long journey to Shadow Isle more comfortable.

…

As Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian boarded the warship to follow Andrei to Shadow Isle… At the Huang Family in the Western Border.

In a pavilion atop Huang Court Mountain.

An Elder in a white robe, with white hair and beard, sat on a stone bench. With fragrant tea beside him permeating the air, he did not pick up the tea to savor it. Instead, he just sat motionless like a statue.

*Pat… Pat…*

Footsteps approached from afar. It was a man who seemed to be in his early thirties wearing a golden long robe and a feathered crown. He was walking step by step.

This person appeared unremarkable, his steps were slow, but from him, people could sense an indescribable profundity. It was as if this person was a black hole, seemingly able to devour everything.

“Elder!” The man in gold bowed with clasped hands outside the pavilion, completely in ancient Dragon Country etiquette.

“Hmm…” The Elder in white finally moved, nodding slightly in response, “You’ve emerged?”

The man in gold smiled. “Yes, I visited the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine that the Ye Family has always treasured as precious. It was indeed miraculous. With the insights gained, I finally broke through my Level 97 bottleneck and reached Level 98!”

Speaking thus far, he opened his Attribute Panel and showed it to the Elder in white.

On his Attribute Panel was clearly written:

Huang Yutian, Level 98, Profession – Peerless Sword Cultivator
