Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 355, Having You Is Wonderful

“Do you understand?” Lu Fan asked one final time.

Loong Xing dared not answer. He feared that if he opened his mouth, Lu Fan would stomp on him again.

However, even staying silent did not save him from his fate this time. Lu Fan stomped down again, nearly making Loong Xing pass out from the pain.

Lu Fan’s reason for this stomp was to make Loong Xing confirm he had understood.

“I’m asking you a question, you dare not answer!?”

Loong Xing was cursing internally. [You stomp on me when I speak, you stomp on me when I don’t speak. Is there no justice in this world!?]

Though he could curse to the High Heavens, he only dared say all these things in his heart.

“I understand…” Loong Xing replied, feeling deeply humiliated.

“Hehe!” Lu Fan smiled, satisfied with Loong Xing’s answer. “That’s better.”

“Since that’s the case, get lost. The next time I see you, it’ll only be at the Western Border. If I catch you in Dragon Capital again, I won’t mind sending someone else back with the message – ‘Get lost!’”

After saying these final words, Lu Fan kicked Loong Xing away.

With a muffled *bang* mixed with the sound of bones breaking, Loong Xing was kicked flying by Lu Fan, forcefully flying hundreds of metres before landing on the concrete ground by the lake.

Loong Xing was in a miserable state, looking completely different from his proud demeanor earlier. His face was covered in blood, his handsome features were flattened by Lu Fan’s stomping and he was now completely disfigured.

Additionally, his ribcage had a large depression, clearly showing that Lu Fan’s kick had shattered many of his ribs.

However, Loong Xing’s Endurance Attribute was not low. Even when beaten to this state, he still had not passed out.

As Xiao Ye withdrew her Black Dragon Pressure, the pressure on Loong Xing suddenly disappeared.

He struggled to stand up, breathing heavily, almost bursting with rage.

Since his birth, he had never suffered such great humiliation!

He held his broken ribs with one hand, and lightly waved the other. This immediately caused a whirlpool in the lake as fifty swords flew out one after another, returning to Loong Xing’s side.

Loong Xing looked at Lu Fan, murderous intent surging in his eyes. He was contemplating whether to seek revenge now that he was not being Crowd Controlled anymore.

Lu Fan stood in the lakeside pavilion, hands behind his back, just watching Loong Xing, waiting for his reaction.

Meanwhile, Xiao Ye circling high above had flames boiling in her mouth and nose. She was ready to unleash an Elemental breath attack if Loong Xing dared make any moves on Lu Fan.

Though the Crowd Control Effect of Black Dragon Pressure was gone, the unnerving presence of Xiao Ye made Loong Xing abandon all thoughts of revenge. He knew that someone who could casually use a Skill to immediately have him under Crowd Control would most likely be able to easily kill him.

The power of the Dragon Race was far more terrifying than he had imagined. Today he could not confront Lu Fan head-on. Otherwise, he might truly never make it back to the Loong Family at the Western Border.

Thinking this, Loong Xing could only suppress his rage, not daring to say anything despite losing face in front of so many people.

He put away all fifty flying swords, then said through gritted teeth. “I’ll remember your words! In one month, I look forward to meeting you again at the Western Border!”

After speaking, he ignominiously fled, not daring to move slowly out of fear that Lu Fan would chase after him with another kick while asking ‘Did I say you could speak?’

Watching Loong Xing flee so pathetically, Lu Fan sneered and mockingly muttered. “Bullying the weak and fearing the strong, forgetting kindness and betraying trust! This is just what you deserve!”

With a wave of his hand, he recalled Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui back into his Pet Sub-Space.

Lu Fan was now completely involved in the Ancient Noble Family conflict at the Western Border. There was no turning back now.

Even if they had Level 97 or even Level 99 Players, Lu Fan was not afraid! With his Pet Dragons, Nine Hell Demons, and Divine Bone Clone at his side, he need not necessarily fear their two great Ancient Noble Families!

Of course, Lu Fan also knew that facing the Ancient Noble Families, which even Ye Wuxian could do nothing about, was not going to be a walk in the park. He could not be careless in challenging them.

So, before heading to the Western Border, Lu Fan would need to increase his and his Pet Dragons’ strength as much as possible. He would also need to craft the Shadow Dragon King Contract.

This way, when he went to the Western Border, he would have more assurance of victory.

As Lu Fan was thinking this, Ye Wuxian flew to the pavilion.

“Junior Brother, why must you do this…” Ye Wuxian’s eyes were red, looking at Lu Fan with complex emotions, “These waters are murkier than you could possibly imagine. I have even sought help from other Ancient Noble Families, but all of them are not willing to get involved, let alone you…”

Seeing Ye Wuxian so emotional, Lu Fan waved to interrupt her words. Smiling, he said, “Senior Sister, living in this world is about being free and unrestrained. The Huang Family and Loong Family have bullied you, so I must strike back. Otherwise I’d never be able to stomach it.”

After a pause, Lu Fan continued: “Besides, I’m different from the Loong Family.”

“Back then it was you who taught me Combat Techniques, helped me find a No Level Requirement Enchantment Scroll. You even set aside the Ye Family’s troubles, and despite being injured, crossed thousands of kilometres across national borders to Extremistis Country to save me.”

“This is the kind of kindness I can never forget!”

“Even for me, I cannot remain idle when the Loong Family has acted so ungratefully. Since no one will stand up for the Ye Family, I’ll stand up for the Ye Family. I’ll protect the Ye Family! From now on, those who bullied you, Senior Sister, I’ll deal with all of them!”

After Lu Fan finished speaking, Ye Wuxian’s eyes grew even redder.

Her figure blurred, and before Lu Fan could react, she had already come before him and embraced him.

“Senior Sister, you…” Lu Fan froze, his body slightly stiff.

“Thank you…” Ye Wuxian’s voice sounded by Lu Fan’s ear, “Having you by my side is truly wonderful…”

Ye Wuxian knew it was too late to say anything now.

With Loong Xing beaten and Lu Fan having made an enemy of the Loong Family, in a month, if Lu Fan did not go to the Western Border, someone would come to ‘invite’ him.

Since that was the case, Ye Wuxian might as well openly accept this fact.

At the very least she was confident that no matter what, she could help Lu Fan emerge from this situation unscathed. At most, it would only cost her own life.

[That would be fine as well. In a month, we would journey to the Western Border together. Whatever the outcome, I’m already content.]

After all, this was the first time she had met a man willing to stand up against such impossible odds.

Thinking this, Ye Wuxian hugged Lu Fan tighter.

Seeing this scene from afar, Zhao Shengming was dumbfounded. He wanted to scream, [Principal, this… might be a bit inappropriate!?]

Others who did not know of Ye Wuxian’s identity.

So, seeing such a beautiful Senior Sister embracing Lu Fan in the lakeside pavilion, was like a grand drama to others. They could basically just eat popcorn and enjoy the show.

As some were happy to ‘eat popcorn’, and many others came to their senses and began applauding by the lake.

Hearing people teasing them, Ye Wuxian finally realised that she had been too emotional and forgotten this was not only a public place, but due to the earlier battle, hundreds of people had gathered.

Being a girl, she was not that thickened skinned and immediately let go of Lu Fan.

Lu Fan could feel the tightness on his chest slightly ease. He looked down to see Ye Wuxian’s face flushed red. He realised it would be best not to mention what just happened. Otherwise, she would surely punch him in embarrassed anger.

He coughed lightly and quickly changed the subject. “That… I saw Andrei coming with you, Senior Sister, how come he’s nowhere to be seen now?”

Hearing Lu Fan say this, Ye Wuxian realised it was indeed so. Andrei had just been beside her, but after Loong Xing left, how did he suddenly disappear?
