Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 388, Summoning the Shadow Dragon King – Blade of Darkness!

“Of course.” Lu Fan smiled and snapped his fingers.

Xiao Cui immediately responded, letting out a Dragon Roar.

And then…

There was nothing after that.

Ye Wuxian blinked her eyes, waited for a long while, but saw no changes.

She looked at Lu Fan, then at Xiao Cui, and asked, confused. “Where is your Summon?”

Lu Fan smiled and said. “The summoning is already done.”

“Already done!?” Ye Wuxian looked around, seeing nothing unusual in their surroundings.

She immediately frowned and raised her little fist. “Lu Fan, are you messing with me? Where is the Summon you supposedly called out?!”

Lu Fan quickly waved his hands and said. “Senior Sister, don’t be hasty. I’m not messing with you, Xiao Cui really did summon it, it’s just that you can’t sense its presence.”

“Actually, forget about you – if I wasn’t its Master, even I would not be able to sense it. Perhaps only Xiao Ye could barely perceive its existence.”

“Really? You’re not lying to me, right?” Ye Wuxian tried to sense carefully but still could not detect anything around her.

She was somewhat skeptical and said, “Let it reveal itself. Once I see it, then I’ll believe you actually summoned something.”

“No problem.” Lu Fan smiled and looked behind Ye Wuxian, saying, “Come out of your Concealment. I’d like to see your appearance too.”

Almost as soon as Lu Fan finished speaking, strands of terrifying black mist gradually emerged.

Ye Wuxian was shocked, because clearly, Lu Fan had not been lying to her.

There really was ‘something’ beside her, but even she, a Fourth Profession Player, could not sense its presence. This was simply frightening!

As the black mist gradually thickened, a figure slowly appeared from within it.

Seeing this figure, both Ye Wuxian and Lu Fan became emotionally stirred.

Without doubt, this was a true Giant Dragon.

Moreover, it was an extremely special species of Giant Dragon.

Its body was not particularly large, much smaller compared to Xiao Ye, but more massive and robust than Support Specialised Pet Dragons like Xiao Cui.

It was about ten meters tall. Its form lacked the explosive aesthetic of power like Xiao Ye, but instead displayed a very proportional streamlined shape, clearly an Agility Focused Combat Specialised Dragon.

What caught Lu Fan’s attention most were the sharp edges covering its entire body.

Its Dragon Scales were like small swords, identical to the one the Shadow Dragon Human King had wielded earlier, just significantly smaller. Similarly, these scaled edges were clearly defined and exceptionally sharp, leaving no doubt that even a single scale, without any polishing, could easily cut through any hardened metal.

Its wings and tail were also the same way, completely different from normal Pet Dragons.

Its wings were like two sharp blades, thin yet resilient, like sword edges. While its tail ended in a crescent shape, like a curved blade.

Where other Pet Dragons do a tail sweep, it might leave someone bruised and bleeding. However, Pet Dragon’s tail sweep would likely cleave an enemy in two.

This Pet Dragon appeared just like a sharp blade.

When lurking in darkness, it was like a sword in its scabbard, undetectable by anyone.

But when it revealed itself, the sword was already drawn – even without striking, the sharpness of its body alone made one’s skin prickle with pain.

Additionally, it was constantly wrapped in an ethereal black mist that added an air of mystery to this Pet Dragon.

Ye Wuxian was stunned for a long while before unconsciously stepping back, swallowing before asking. “This Pet Dragon… is the new Pet Dragon you obtained using that Contract Crafting Recipe earlier?”

Lu Fan nodded, extremely satisfied with the Shadow Dragon King – Blade of Darkness. Even though Lu Fan had yet to have the time to check its Attribute Panel, he could tell from its appearance that this Dragon was definitely extraordinary.

As a Dragon King of the same tier as Xiao Ye and Xing Chen, this Shadow Dragon King must have some outstanding qualities.

However, exactly what type of Pet Dragon it was would require checking its Attribute Panel to know.

Of course, Lu Fan had already roughly guessed this Pet Dragon’s characteristics.

If Lu Fan was not mistaken, it should be an Assassin Type Pet Dragon.

[To think that even among the mighty Dragon Race, there existed Assassin Type Dragons. How interesting. But, Giant Dragons could easily assassinate Gods of the same Level, right? So, why does such a specialised breed have to exist?]

Just like earlier, if Lu Fan had wanted to, this Shadow Dragon King could have easily eliminated Ye Wuxian when she was completely Defenceless.

Ye Wuxian naturally realised this point too, knowing that even if this Giant Dragon’s Combat Power was not equal to Lu Fan’s other Pet Dragons, its threat level was definitely the highest among Lu Fan’s Pet Dragons.

The Shadow Dragon King, seeing Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian evaluating it, remained quite obedient, standing still without movement.

However, its eyes showed no emotion.

This was different from Xing Chen. Xing Chen was cold to Lu Fan simply because she could not be bothered with him.

The Shadow Dragon King was not so dismissive of Lu Fan. In fact, Lu Fan could feel it was absolutely obedient to his commands.

Its coldness was like that of a killing machine, devoid of emotion. It was more like a weapon than a Pet.

Lu Fan reached out his hand, and the Shadow Dragon King compliantly moved closer, resting its massive head on Lu Fan’s hand.

Its scales were exceptionally sharp, but since Lu Fan was its Master, it would not harm him in any way.

Others would not be so lucky though. This Pet Dragon definitely could not be casually cuddled with like Xiao Cui.

“Hmm… that Scroll from earlier was the Shadow Dragon King Contract, which when used, allows me to summon a Shadow Dragon King of Xiao Cui’s Level? Technically, this Dragon King is the so-called Blade of Darkness. Looking at it, it should be an Assassin Type Pet Dragon. If it wishes, it can continuously lurk in the darkness, and even when summoned, not even its Summoning Array is detectable.”

“An Assassin Type Pet Dragon!? This is my first time hearing that the Dragon Race has an Assassin Type Dragon amongst them.” Ye Wuxian was greatly amazed.

Thinking about how Lu Fan had summoned the Shadow Dragon King right in front of her, and it had been beside her the whole time without her noticing, cold sweat formed on her back.

In the future, whoever offended Lu Fan might not even know how they died…

After petting the Shadow Dragon King, Lu Fan opened its Attribute Panel to carefully examine what special characteristics the Shadow Dragon King – Blade of Darkness possessed.
