Chapter 357, Stronger Lightning Power – Bright Yellow Seal

Translator: Silavin

The Bright Yellow Seal Effect: Skill Power increased by 50%. Each Skill release creates a Lightning Boundary to a certain range. Enemies within the Lightning Boundary take Additional Damage when they move. The closer they move to the centre, the more Lightning Boundary gets triggered, increasing the Damage taken.
Each time enemies take damage, they get afflicted with the ‘Lightning Chain’ Effect, reducing their Movement Speed, Attack Speed, and Casting Speed.

Compared to Crimson Jade, Bright Yellow Seal was much more powerful. Not only does it increase Bao Bao’s Skill Power by 100% while retaining all of Crimson Jade’s Effects, but it also adds the special Lightning Chain Debuff in the Lightning Boundary.

Now, Bao Bao’s Lightning Boundary would become an even more troublesome Forbidden Zone. Once inside, any random movement would cause them to be struck by Bright Yellow Seal’s lightning, causing secondary damage, and also applying the Lightning Chain Debuff.

The Debuffs would reduce a variety of Speeds, and slow them down to a crawl.

[If the Lightning Chain Debuff Effect stacks, wouldn’t my enemies essentially be bound hand and foot? In that case, what suspense would remain in battle? Unless they vastly outpower us, once they step into Bao Bao’s Lightning Boundary, that is the end for them.]

[Even if they try to minimize their movement within the Lightning Boundary and use Range Attack Skills to attack me from afar, it would not be that effective since their Casting Speed has also been slowed down. In fact, this turtling strategy could have been if Bao Bao only had Crimson Jade. But, his Level Up this time seems to completely counter any ‘turtling’ strategy. After all…]

Lightning Vortex (Active, LV1) – Rotates the lightning within the Lightning Boundary, forming a lightning vortex. This caused sustained Additional Damage to enemies within the Lightning Boundary, triggering the Domain’s Special Effects.
This Skill was quite straightforward. It stirs up the lightning within the Lightning Boundary, forcing those inside to be struck by lightning even if they stood still, while also applying the Lightning Chain Effect.

After all, if the Lightning Boundary was the one moving, even if enemies do not move, as long as they were inside, it was equivalent to them moving.

Thus, once the Lightning Boundary forms, it now has become an Area of Effect Damage Skill for Bao Bao. Though its power certainly could not compare to Xing Chen’s Passive Skill, Starfall, in her Starlight Form, Bao Bao’s Lightning Boundary deals Magic Attack Damage. Meanwhile, Xing Chen Starfall deals Physical Attack Damage.

If someone has High Physical Resistance, they might be able to withstand Starfall’s damage but they definitely would not be able to withstand Lightning Vortex.

Moreover, as Lightning’s Favour’s Level increases, the kind of Lightning Power Bao Bao could use would be stronger, with greater effects. In the future, if Bao Bao can master even more powerful Lightning Power, and the power of Lightning Vortex would become even more unimaginable!

Besides Lightning Vortex, Bao Bao learned another Skill at Level 20 called Gather Lightning Clouds.

This Skill allows Bao Bao to summon Lightning Clouds that continuously launch lightning attacks at targets with considerable power.

Lu Fan had tested it out. One Lightning Cloud’s Damage Output was equal to about one-third of Bao Bao’s, which is impressive.

Currently, Gather Lightning Clouds was only at LV1, so it could only summon up to three Lightning Clouds.

In the future, when the Skill Level increases, the Lightning Clouds’ Attack Power should increase, and the maximum number of summonable Lightning Clouds should also increase.

Later on, just these Lightning Clouds’ supportive attacks alone might multiply Bao Bao’s firepower two or three times.

[As expected of the Dragon Race. Though Bao Bao learns Skills so frequently, none are useless. Right now, even though Bao Bao is only Level 25, and seems weak with his Low Level,  once Xiao Cui applies all her Buffs and replicates four Mirror Image Projections of him, Bao Bao’s Damage Output can even rival Xiao Ye in her Destruction Dragon Form!]

It had to be noted that Bao Bao’s Level was about half of Xiao Ye’s Level. Yet, his Damage Output could match hers. This just shows how the Blue Dragon King was well deserving of the title – Strongest Magic Combat Specialised Dragon Species!

Besides Bao Bao and the other Pet Dragons, two other Dragons under Lu Fan’s command have also shown incredible growth – The Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon Kings.

After gaining the Divine Bone Fusion Skill, Lu Fan had not allowed any Monster corpse to go to waste. He would always turn them all into Fallen Corpse Puppets, then having the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon Kings absorb them to convert them into Attribute points.

Now, the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King’s Base Attributes have reached 70K, surpassing Xiao Ye and Xing Chen by a wide margin.

Add in Xiao Cui’s various Enhancement Buffs, and the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King’s Attributes have become the top of Lu Fan’s ‘Pet Dragon Dream Team’, with no other Baby Dragon able to compete against.

Of course, a Pet Dragon’s Combat Power was not measured purely by Attributes alone.

Xiao Ye and the others, being Pure Blood Dragon Kings, have many abilities that the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King lacked. In terms of Combat Power, the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon Kings could only be considered mid-tier. Sadly, even with their High Attributes, they still could not be the main Damage Dealer within the ‘Pet Dragon Dream Team’.

Compared to Xiao Ye and the others, the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King actually leans more toward Functional Skills.

Their ability to create Fallen Corpse Puppets was very useful. Moreover, after absorbing the three Ancient God Essence, the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King seems to have found a bug in this world’s system, with their power increasing incredibly fast.

First, they can make Fallen Corpse Puppets and convert them directly into Attribute Points. Second, after their Attributes increase, they could make even stronger Monsters into Fallen Corpse Puppets.

This cycle would continuously repeat, making the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King’s growth potential simply immeasurable!

Lu Fan strongly believes that if this keeps up, in the future, a Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King might only be Level 60 but possess Attributes equal to a Level 100 Pure Blood Dragon King!

At that time, those opponents who habitually judge strength by Level would be caught off guard.

In any case, the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon Kings were currently the ones experiencing the most stable growth in power among Lu Fan’s Pet Dragons. Just farming Monsters allowed the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King to grow stronger.

Lu Fan has no doubt that if he found a Dungeon Instance and farmed for a month straight, a single Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King alone could challenge a whole Ancient Noble Family.

However, compared to the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King’s Attributes, Lu Fan was more concerned about crafting the Shadow Dragon King Contract.

After all, gaining another Pet Dragon would definitely increase his overall Combat Power more than giving the Fallen Corpse Holy Dragon King ten thousand Attributes Points.

As for Andrei, he certainly did not disappoint Lu Fan. Finally, after a week, news came from Feather Country. The Transport Array from Dragon Capital University to Breaking Waves Port was completed, and the Teleportation Scroll had been delivered to Lu Fan.
