Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 975: Chapter 973: A New Village

”There’s even something like this?”

Gu Xi looked at the Yin Stone Mountain Range on the ground and couldn’t help mumbling to himself.

At this moment Li Yufang also stuck her head over, glanced at the thing on the ground, then raised her head to look at Gu Xi.

”My lord, this is good stuff. How about you give it to me, I’ll take it and process it.”

When he saw the Attributes of the Yin Stone Mountain Range, Gu Xi already understood what this thing was about.

Previously Gu Xi had noticed that the Third Elder was pulling a large number of White Bones out of the black fog.

Back then he even used the Soul Summoning Skill to deal with those White Bones.

Now it seemed those White Bones should all have been placed inside this Yin Stone Mountain Range.

And there ought to be a lot of them.

Gu Xi’s guess was correct.

Inside this Yin Stone Mountain Range there were still a huge number of Player corpses, all bodies the Third Elder used when descending while travelling between various Game Worlds.

The Third Elder’s strength was relatively high, so each time he had to consume one Player.

Each time a Player was called down and used, their corpse would be stored inside this Yin Stone Mountain Range.

As time slowly passed, the area occupied by this Yin Stone Mountain Range would also grow larger.

On the surface it looked like just a fist-sized Stone, but if the inside were truly opened up, it would be about half the size of Mount Tai.

And with virtually every step you took inside, a Player who died unwillingly would be buried or hung somewhere.

You could tell that much from the Yin Qi rushing out and the spatial effect.

If this thing could be deployed more than once, Gu Xi might already be thinking of opening it up to see what it looked like inside.

Now that Li Yufang had brought it up, Gu Xi couldn’t help asking, ”So what are you planning to do?”

”I’m planning to take it back, send it to the Underworld for tempering, then use the Ruyi Technique for refining, turning it into a Magical Treasure that can be big or small, light or heavy at will.”

Gu Xi nodded inwardly; that wasn’t a bad idea.

If he took the Yin Stone Mountain Range back, it would just be adding one more mountain Outside Yalidu City.

Aside from that, there wasn’t much else he could do with it.

It wasn’t something that would instantly boost his strength.

As for trying to master the effects of the Yin Stone Mountain Range and freely deploy the corpses inside it to fight—there was no need.

You could say even if the Yin Stone Mountain Range might get sealed, his Death City wouldn’t have any problems.

Gu Xi had no need to add a useless thing for himself.

In that case, treating the Yin Stone Mountain Range as a weapon to process was actually a good idea.

Gu Xi’s mind moved; he quickly took out the Taishan Prefect’s Secret Record from his breast.

This Taishan Prefect’s Secret Record, which only had the upper volume, recorded all kinds of things.

Besides the crafting method of one piece of Orange Armor, it also contained the crafting methods of several Magical Treasures related to the Lord of Mount Tai.

Among them was an item called the Soul-Suppressing Seal.

Purple Quality, yet a key object in the hands of the Lord of Mount Tai.

The most important part was that the materials required for the Soul-Suppressing Seal were a mountain range in the Underworld, preferably one thick with Yin Qi, nourished by a large number of corpses, then soaked in a pool of Underworld water for a period of time.

If Li Yufang hadn’t mentioned this, Gu Xi wouldn’t have remembered this Magical Treasure.

Now it was different.

The Yin Stone Mountain Range looked perfectly suited for it.

Thinking as he went, Gu Xi showed Li Yufang the portion of the Taishan Prefect’s Secret Record that described the method for crafting the Soul-Suppressing Seal.

After one look, Li Yufang decisively said, ”My lord, this is simple. I can handle it.”

”Good.”

As Gu Xi spoke, he released the Equipment Carriers of the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe and Spirit Lamp.

Then he also summoned the Death Incarnation-Titan.

The Death Incarnation-Titan immediately injected the power of the Death Land into the Yin Stone Mountain Range.

Meanwhile, the Equipment Carrier of the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe kept firing Netherworld Decrees at the Yin Stone Mountain Range.

Only the Equipment Carrier of the Spirit Lamp directly lit the Spirit Flame, burning that fist-sized Stone from below.

Even if Gu Xi was going to send the Yin Stone Mountain Range off for processing, he first had to seize ownership of it.

He couldn’t very well send it off for conversion only to discover in the end that it wasn’t under his control, could he?

Once he had the Death Incarnation-Titan and the Equipment Carriers of the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe and Spirit Lamp begin their work, Gu Xi spoke to Li Yufang.

”I’ll process it first. Once it’s done, you can take it to the Underworld.”

Hearing that she would be useful again, Li Yufang firmly nodded.

After that, when she looked at those things, she paid closer attention.

However, the time it would take the Death Incarnation-Titan and the others to process the Yin Stone Mountain Range was relatively long.

Li Yufang wouldn’t be going back in the short term, so she simply stayed at Gu Xi’s side and went with him to build the village.

This was something Gu Xi had wanted to do from the very beginning.

While he was fighting the Third Elder, Liu Yingguang’s letters had already arrived.

A large number of Architectural Design Plans had been sent over, along with the most crucial kind: the Energy Core Architectural Design Plans.

This time the number of items sent was exactly three.

That was precisely the quantity Gu Xi had requested.

It seemed Liu Yingguang really did want to boost his own KPI.

With the things he wanted in hand, and with the support of the Jiaolong Blood Castle, Gu Xi naturally moved much faster.

He led his subordinates directly out of the Jiaolong Blood Castle, quickly heading for the nearby small plain.

This small plain was the spot Gu Xi had selected at the start to launch the attack on the Screaming Castle.

Back when the Third Elder came, there had been no troops guarding this place, and all of the Third Elder’s attention had been on the Jiaolong Blood Castle; he hadn’t set his sights here.

So in the end, this spot was relatively safe.

When Gu Xi arrived, the Heroes guarding this place immediately came out to greet him.

But Gu Xi didn’t say much to them; he directly collected the City Gate, Soul Summoning Tower, and City Wall that had been deployed here.

At the same time Li Yufang walked to the location of the small plain, stood at the former site of the Soul Summoning Tower, and looked around.

”My lord, this seems a bit too close to that Jiaolong Blood Castle.”

”I know. But I’m building a village here not to create any conflict with the Jiaolong Blood Castle. My plan is to establish an outer ring here, putting transportation, trade, and various nearby errands in this place.

The Jiaolong Blood Castle will directly handle internal castle affairs.”

Gu Xi had long since planned the layout outside the Jiaolong Blood Castle.

Outside the Jiaolong Blood Castle, Gu Xi intended to build a total of three villages.

One would be on the small plain before his eyes; another would be in the forest from before; and another would be placed in the direction leading to the Rotten Forest.

These three villages, plus the Jiaolong Blood Castle, would occupy a large chunk of territory nearby.

Forming a domain that belonged exclusively to Gu Xi.
