Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 972: Chapter 970: Peak Showdown

The newly strengthened Third Elder didn’t stop for a moment; he swiftly charged towards the Jiaolong Blood Castle.

Through the earlier Mana Extraction attempts, he learned the location of the enemy who had been siphoning off his mana.

He was now heading to reclaim his own mana.

Once his mana was restored, he could demolish the castle before him with a mere gesture.

The possibility of being unable to break into the castle had never crossed the Third Elder’s mind.

His level now exceeded Level 30. Although this level belonged to a game character, a game character’s level still counted as a level. Despite the influence of the character’s thoughts from the game, he couldn’t imagine anyone in this Level 20-capped game world could stop him.

A Level 19 Double-headed Bone Dragon was considered the strongest entity.

Against such levels of enemies, he could kill however many came his way.

Thus, the Third Elder charged forward, fulfilling his concept of gods and Buddha being obstacles, and charging through all of them.

No matter what kind of enemy stood in front of him, as long as they entered his line of sight, he could point with the long spear transformed from his White Bone Staff and kill the enemy instantly.

In the blink of an eye, the Third Elder had reached the foot of the walls of the Jiaolong Blood Castle.

Neither Blaise’s Skeleton Shooter team nor the Blood Mage team on the walls could stop him.

The Third Elder felt increasingly smug.

He understood the slight setback he suffered earlier was just due to his unfamiliarity with Gu Xi’s battle style.

Now that he didn’t need mana anymore, he wondered what Gu Xi could do to him.

But just as the Third Elder was about to leap onto the wall, he suddenly sensed a gaze fall upon him.

This immediately made the Third Elder become alert.

As a leader above Level 30, the Third Elder’s Perception was quite strong.

But he wouldn’t concern himself with weaker enemies.

Just like a person may be aware of a mosquito’s presence, unless they look closely, they wouldn’t worry about which mosquito was bothering them.

However, when a beast targets a person, the ordinary human would immediately get goosebumps.

The Third Elder encountered just such a scenario.

His eyes, already encased in ice, flashed with a hint of red light.

This was the biggest problem of the Black Players; when encountering enemies, they would recklessly charge into battle.

The enemy at present might be very strong, requiring the Third Elder to adjust his thinking.

The Third Elder lifted his head to glance at the Flood Dragon in the sky.

This Flood Dragon phantom was ever-present, and ever since it appeared within the Blood Cloud, he sensed its power surpassed his own.

So his thoughts were mainly focused on the Flood Dragon.

Though the Flood Dragon hadn’t made a move, he hadn’t diverted his attention from it.

Now that he had reached this point of the wall, a powerful gaze had fallen upon him.

No doubt this was from the Flood Dragon.

The Third Elder thought to himself, while quickly considering how to handle the Flood Dragon.

Perhaps once he got onto the wall, the Flood Dragon would descend from the sky.

With such a large size, it wouldn’t be very agile, so a charge followed by pinning the Flood Dragon to the ground seemed feasible.

Then he could advance to reclaim his mana.

With mana, the Flood Dragon nailed to the wall could be subjected to his Corpse Burst feast.

Finally, it would be blown to pieces.

This truly was a great idea.

The more the Third Elder thought about it, the more delighted he became, even wanting to praise himself.

As he thought about it, he continued running towards the wall.

As he charged upwards, he kept his eyes glued to the Flood Dragon in the sky, waiting for any changes to its phantom form.

Just as he reached the top of the wall, the Third Elder suddenly raised his head and aimed the long spear transformed from his White Bone Staff into the sky.

With this jab, an ashen glow carrying the Third Elder’s aura shot into the Flood Dragon’s phantom.

The preemptive strike wins.

After this attack, the Flood Dragon’s phantom didn’t solidify as he had expected, nor did it show any intent of being nailed to the ground.

It was as if the phantom had never intended to become solidified.

The Third Elder sensed something was wrong upon seeing this.

He inwardly exclaimed, ”Bad!” At that moment, a seven-meter-long spear wrapped in a layer of ice jabbed at him.

What the hell is this?

The Third Elder was dumbfounded; what on earth was happening?

This isn’t right.

While pondering, he raised his left hand, intending to use the aura to block the attack.

Yet, he never expected that as his left hand touched the spear, a bolt of lightning arced from it, striking him in the face.

The Third Elder dodged backward, trying to evade the strike.

But aside from light, nothing is faster than lightning.

The Third Elder barely made a backward motion yet failed to dodge the lightning that struck him head-on.

This strike hit the dagger embedded in his forehead.

Under the lightning’s assault, the dagger shifted slightly, almost dislodging from his forehead.

Nevertheless, this disrupted the Third Elder’s transformation into a Death Knight through his dagger.

His helmet reverted from Death Knight’s armor back to the original black robe and hood.

Such a change left the Third Elder astounded.

He hastily reached up to steady the dagger on his head, but just then, the incoming spear twisted, piercing the black mist-formed Warhorse beneath him.

No matter what level of skill the Third Elder himself had.

The Warhorse was inherently weak; the spear punctured it, lightning exploded, and the black mist-formed Warhorse was shattered to pieces.

For the first time, the Third Elder truly felt the discomfort of being at the heart of an explosion.

Not to mention everything else, the shockwave from the blast sent him flying.

Yet, the assailant didn’t cease attacks just because the Third Elder was blown away.

Instead, they continued thrusting the spear forward.

Flying through the air, the Third Elder finally realized the enemy wouldn’t let him off. Thus, he struggled to flip mid-air to stabilize himself.

But he forgot; the dagger in his brow had just been knocked off.

Ordinarily, as a Death Knight, even amidst such an explosion, he wouldn’t think of twisting mid-air.

Such actions are impossible for a Death Knight.

Only the odd thoughts of an Undead Mage would attempt something like that; a Death Knight would merely seek a swift landing and rise to fight again.
